> 24 hourThis headset is a neck killer! If you have an elevated monitor (where you look up at an angle all day) then you likely wont have the same discomfort that I did with this headset. If your desk setup has you looking down or at a decline, you will likely have more neck aches. I am only giving so many stars because the features are very good and the design seems more durable than what Ive had before. The chat mix feature (the volume knob on the right) is very helpful since Im in a voice chat almost every day. I also like being able to use an audio jack to pump audio from my phone or other device into the headset wirelessly through the dongle plugged into my computer. I have my Nintendo Switch hooked up to my desk, and when I use an aux cord, I can have audio from both my computer and my Switch going into this headset. I am giving this headset one star for noise cancelling because it does not have active noise cancelling. It will reduce noise passively, but not to a level that I would call this a noise cancelling pair of headphones.

> 24 hourSo from a technical perspective, this headset does what its supposed to do: Play sound, wirelessly. The range is decent. The buttons are fine. The mute indicator on the mic is nice. But heaven forbid something goes wrong with your headset like something did to mine, and nothing matters anymore. My headset stopped charging abruptly one day, so I filed a service ticket through their purposely obtuse service system. Heaven forbid I actually want to speak to a human. After a few back and forth exchanges, they decided my headset was indeed defective and worthy of RMA. HOO BOY THIS IS WHERE THE FUN STARTS. You want to know what its like filing an RMA with the Vogons? This is what its like: SS: File this paperwork, include your receipt, picture of headset, serial number, PICTURE of serial number, and mail a blood sample. ME: DONE SS: OK, now PHYSICALLY DESTROY YOUR HEADSET, but you have to do it EXACTLY THIS WAY or we void your RMA. ME: DONE SS: OK, now you have to take EXACTLY THESE PICTURES of the front, back, left, and right side of the headset, the serial number must be showing in EVERY PICTURE and you have to also print out this QR code and also have that visible in EVERY PICTURE or we void your RMA. ME: Thats....almost not physically possible due to the location of the serial number but Ill do my best, here you go. SS: WARNING WARNING WARNING THERE IS A DISCREPANCY IN YOUR RMA. WE CANNOT TELL YOU WHAT KIND OF DISCREPANCY BECAUSE IT IS A SECURITY RISK BUT NOW YOU CAN MAIL US ALL THE CUT UP PARTS OF THE HEADSET. ALSO SHIPPING IS AT YOUR EXPENSE BECAUSE WE ARE IDIOTS. ME: Security risk...for an RMA? Now I have to fish this thing out of the trash. Here you go. Sent. SS: Thank you, also we dont actually track shipments or have any accountability in our receivables department, so its UP TO YOU to let us know when the item has been delivered, failure to EMAIL US TELLING WE RECEIVED YOUR ITEM will delay your request. ME: JFC. Okay, done. SS:We received your item, and verified everything but will still inexplicably take another 3 days to email you a coupon code for a new headset, and by the way heres another 30 rules to follow which, if violated, void your coupon and RMA. Look guys - I understand you want to reduce the risk of people abusing your RMA process, but I really, really cant get behind a company that automatically treats every one of their clients like a criminal. Ive had better luck helping someone file for social security disability through the court system. If Steelseries was less insane about their warranty process, Id give this 5 stars. But as it stands, it COST ME MONEY to replace something under warranty and Ive been without a working headset for 3 weeks, so sorry you get to stick with 1-star.

> 24 hourI love everything about this headset except for the headband. Sound: fantastic, plus being able to balance desktop sounds and Discord audio on the fly is tops. Function: great, muting is tactile and you always know when youve done it, mic position is always correct thanks to the flex mic, you can use them while charging, and theres a manual connection option. Minor quibble here: the engravings on the base station are nearly impossible to see, easily fixed with a minute of liquid paper whiteout, pictured. Microphone: Clarity is really good for a headset mic, I only need to switch to the desktop mic when doing a recording, headset mic works great for chatting, phone calls, streaming, etc. Feel: This is where I drop a star. While the overall comfort is great, I wear this almost 12 hours a day and the headband stretched out after only 6 months requiring me to get a replacement from the SS website for $15. Also, the ear cups dont have an obvious way to be removed/cleaned, and if you use these all day like I do they will get gross. All in all a good headset but I wish I didnt have to spend $30 a year on maintenance via replacing the headband, so 4 stars.

> 24 hourI absolutely loved these headphones. They worked amazing for 4 years, but unfortunately, the charging port literally fell out of them today. I feel that the port is a big enough issue where i cant give this 5 stars, but Ill give it 4 for the years of excellent sound quality. The charging port was noticeably loose and didnt connect well after one year, but I made due with adjusting the position of the cord for a while. Wish I could afford a new pair now, but will keep an eye out for a sale.

> 24 hourI was on the hunt for a new headset after the one I had which used a flip up to mute system stopped working. I work fully remote, and generally wear headphones for 6-8 hours a day for music/meetings. I needed a pair that would meet my needs, all day comfort, quality mic and audio, a physical mute button, and wireless. It took me three tries, with different brands before I finally decided to bite the bullet and spent what was previously an unimaginably large sum for headphones for me. This model had by far the most reviews of any other, it had solid reviews across the board and I figured it was time to pay for some quality. I could not be happier. The fit is perfect (although it takes a few tries to get used to adjusting with this particular strap mechanism), the sound is great, the retractable mic is convenient and works well, its comfortable for long periods of time, and the wireless range is great (I can move from my office, through multiple walls into the kitchen without losing signal). Ill never go to another brand. Pay for quality, its worth it.

> 24 hourComfortable for long periods. 24+ hour battery life. The clearest mic Ive ever used short of prosumer/professional grade kit. All of that, and somehow the sound quality is also amazing. I could gush on end for an hour or more about these. I recommend them to anyone whos budget would afford them. I even bought a second pair because my girlfriend liked mine so much. Ive got 5 different sets of wired cans that are far more expensive than these. Audiophile-grade stuff. For most, there will be very little difference in sound quality. I actually prefer these over the others because they are comfy as well. The only set that actually rivals them is my Sennheisers, but those are on my desk at work. Before I got these and for a while after, I was using a Blue Yeti (one of the ones from before Logitech bought them) for comms with my friends and family. One day, the USB port broke off the Yeti so I started using the mic on these. Everyone said it was better. Said I was clearer than before and there was less background noise despite noise gates and filtering software used with the Yeti. I still bought a replacement, but only for table usage... for one-on-one I still prefer the Arctics mic. Did I mention theyre comfy? I have a fat head and mid-size ears. They fit and cushion perfectly. My Sennheisers feel better, but both of my Fostex sets are lacking in comparison. This is comparing to other, more expensive over-ears mind you. I make the above comparisons because if you go to a bunch of gaming enthusiasts and ask them what kind of gaming headphones you should get, they will ALWAYS tell you to get a good set of cans without a mic. Something youd listen to an album with. My observation is that before I tried these that was indeed what I would recommend. But now Im a believer. Ive use sets from Kingston (HyperX), Razer, Corsair and a few others and none of those could stand up to halfway-decent audiophile targeted cans paired with a standard desk mic. Steelseries made me a believer with the Arctic 7.

> 24 hourI picked up the Arctis 7 2019 Edition (not to be confused with the Legacy Edition) for a mere $118 + tax, and it is by far highest quality product Ive ever seen at this price point. Simply put, everything about this headset screams luxury straight out of the box. The design is sleek, sturdy, and visually satisfying. Its incredibly difficult to see a difference in build quality between the Arctis 7 and most $400 flagship headsets. The design is just the tip of the iceberg: I was pleasantly surprised to hear these for the first time. They deliver an audible punch that is hard to find in wireless headphones at this price. While I initially assumed theyd sound good enough for a cheap gaming headset, these exceeded my expectations. Theyre loud, smooth, clear, & the bass packs a punch. There is no noticeable lag or delay. The equalizer you can play around with in the easy-to-use SteelSeries Engine 3 software allows for almost endless customization. The microphone itself is on par with the quality of the audio, and indeed is one of the best you can get on a wireless gaming headset. I was satisfied with how my voice comes through clearly with no obvious change in tone or pitch. I sound much better through these headphones than I do when, say, listening to recorded playback of my voice through a smartphone video. This headset also does everything you need it to with gaming. They handle cinematic-style audio with flying colors, and youll feel fully immersed while playing your games. I tested these on Diablo 3 and Metro: Exodus, and wearing the headset really boosted the experience. The directional audio is flawless; its easy to determine where sounds are coming from and having this feature activated doesnt sacrifice the quality of audio. While playing Metro, a Watchman came charging from behind me. I could very clearly hear its footsteps running across a train-cart, and I nearly had a heart attack! Id forgotten how much more terrifying/intense directional audio can make games, but also how useful it is. Comfort is one of the most crucial features of the Arctis 7, which fit my head straight out of the box. Right away I noticed how comfortable they are, especially the plush, airy, well-made ear cushions which fit snugly around my ears. Thanks to the air-weave fabric, my ears dont feel hot or get sweaty at all. I can also barely feel the adjustable strap, which fits around the top of my head snugly, but not too tightly. The only gripe I have, which is minor and doesnt bother me too much, is that the set does feel a little bit heavy due to being made with high quality material. But Id much prefer this than the set feeling cheap or flimsy. My neck was a little stiff from wearing them, but Ive gotten used to it with time. In the end, I couldnt be happier with this purchase. I was facing a dilemma: unsure if I was willing to buy a wireless headset at this price. My rationale was that wireless wouldnt be worth it if it meant sacrificing audio quality, so I almost didnt buy them. I was certain that it wasnt possible to find a quality wireless headset without spending hundreds. Man, was I wrong! After reading reviews, I just had a gut feeling that these would be what I was hoping for, and they turned out to be that and more. Theres obviously a reason they were rated the Best Gaming Headset of 2019 by numerous reviewers. I absolutely, without hesitation, recommend these to anyone who just wants an amazing gaming headset without needing studio quality sound. Below is the list of features and how Id rate them: Overall Audio: 4.0 / 5.0 stars Directional Audio: 4.8 / 5.0 stars Microphone: 4.7 / 5.0 stars Build & Design: 4.8 / 5.0 stars Ease of Use: 5.0 / 5.0 stars Comfort & Fit: 4.8 / 5.0 stars Packaging: 3.9 / 5.0 stars Value: 4.7 / 5.0 stars Overall: 4.5 out of 5.0. Amazing product! Highly recommend!

> 24 hourI had my headphones for one year and today, the microphone snapped off, I tried to detach the microphone and only use the audio function because I have a mic on my PC but the wiring is all connected and I pulled the ear apart. This is great for audio but poor for talking. Keep that in mind when making this purchase.

> 24 hourMy last headset (logitec) was falling apart and had a short in the wire to the right ear piece. I needed a new headset. Friends kept recommending me to the Steel Series Arctics. One recommended 7 and the other 9. I saved up and got the Arctics 7. First thing Im happy about. No cord, unless its charging. I have 3 cats, and two of them love wriggling stings and cables, the youngest the most. Id love to blame them for the issues with my last headset, but those issues started before I got these two cats. With the Arctics 7 headset, no cable!!! No worrying about a new headset being damaged by playful fluffballs, or the possibility of the cats getting hurt. Second thing: the stretchy band that adjusts, it makes the headset so comfortable and helps the headset fit snug on my head. Third: The ear covers are also comfortable and warm. My ears get cold easily so when a headset keeps my ears warm on top of being comfortable, its a bonus. My last headset was also comfortable and warm on the ear part, so its nice to have that again. Forth: Mute. I have a bad habit of accidentally muting myself or forgetting that Ive muted myself. The red light on the mic when muted is very nice! 5th: Sound Channels. Im still getting use to the volume controls and stuff, but I love how theres 2 different sound settings! Now if I can just remember that I sometimes set the media player sound to come through the chat channel when Im not chatting with people! I had a tv shows audio come through my stream once because I forgot about it. 6. Volume controls. There are two. One is the basic one that controls all volume. The other helps regulate what you hear more. I love it. I really love my new headset.

> 24 hourLiterally the best headset Ive ever used, and Ive tried quite a few. My brother owns a pair of high-end Astros and I actually like these better because I find that they dont hurt my head or ears at all and theyre very lightweight. The included tiny bluetooth connector makes the whole user experience very plug and play and gives it great sound quality and solid connection which I love. The sound quality for both music and gaming is pretty incredible by the way. I would consider myself an audiophile and while these arent necessarily studio quality, the sound profile was impressive to me. Very balanced/loud, and while I wish there was slightly stronger bass response, for wireless headphones I cant complain at all. For gaming, the sound profile works extremely well which is the point of this product anyway. A lot of people in the reviews complained about the build quality and them breaking easily or losing elasticity in the headband, but I havent experienced any of those issues and its been a few months now. As long as you take good care of them theyll be fine. The only bad thing about this headset is that the microphone is slightly annoying to pull out or push back in and the mute button can also be kind of annoying to find with your finger and push every time you need it. However, I kind of like that the microphone hides inside the headset because it protects it really well, especially in transit, so its a double-edged sword. But those are tiny cons anyway. This is definitely in my list of top 10 amazon purchases of all time. UPDATE: The Arctis 7 is still an amazing headset. My one gripe after a year is the quality of the MicroUSB charging port. After about 8 months, it somehow got damaged even though I took great care of it and I could no longer wear the headset and charge it at the same time without taping or clipping the cable in a certain position. It makes me a little sad considering everything else about this headset was such a great experience. I tried to get a replacement and Steelseries was willing to do so, but they were making me jump through hoops and asked me to purposefully break my old headset and send pictures so I couldn’t fix or resell it instead of just sending it back??? The whole thing kinda rubbed me the wrong way and I just gave up and bought the Arctis Pro since I was getting tired of charging anyway. But yeah I really wish they just used a USB-C port instead. MicroUSB is so fragile.
