I have had this pair of headsets for 3 years and I have enjoyed them. when playing an FPS I can actually hear footsteps clearly which gives me a bit of an edge and helps me in games. I also use this to listen to music and play RPGMMOs like FFXIV, the sound quality is amazing. I have recommended these to my friends and family if they have the money for them. Yes they are a little pricey but you get what you pay for and they are definitely well worth the money. I bought a second pair for my gaming laptop. I will say after 3 years the ear pads are a little worn but I think I can replace them without replacing the headset itself. One thing I did have to get used to is the headset did feel a little tight on my head but after adjusting the head band it was perfect.

I was on the hunt for a new headset after the one I had which used a flip up to mute system stopped working. I work fully remote, and generally wear headphones for 6-8 hours a day for music/meetings. I needed a pair that would meet my needs, all day comfort, quality mic and audio, a physical mute button, and wireless. It took me three tries, with different brands before I finally decided to bite the bullet and spent what was previously an unimaginably large sum for headphones for me. This model had by far the most reviews of any other, it had solid reviews across the board and I figured it was time to pay for some quality. I could not be happier. The fit is perfect (although it takes a few tries to get used to adjusting with this particular strap mechanism), the sound is great, the retractable mic is convenient and works well, its comfortable for long periods of time, and the wireless range is great (I can move from my office, through multiple walls into the kitchen without losing signal). Ill never go to another brand. Pay for quality, its worth it.

I’ve had them a year and a half now, and for the most part they’ve been great. They’re comfy, the band is fantastic and doesn’t give me headaches, the charge lasts long and when I do need to plug in the cord is long. Great range, I can go into the kitchen and people can still hear me (floor down and halfway across the house). mic is retractable and I haven’t had complaints of mic clarity. My only complaint - six months in they started shutting themself off :| no reason, battery will be fine, I’ll be watching a video or playing a game and out of nowhere I’ll hear the powering down sound and they’ll shut down. Irl turn them back on and they’ll be normal, but it’s a bit annoying when you’re in voice chat and in a game and your headphones shut off and you have to take a hand away to turn them back on.

I absolutely loved these headphones. They worked amazing for 4 years, but unfortunately, the charging port literally fell out of them today. I feel that the port is a big enough issue where i cant give this 5 stars, but Ill give it 4 for the years of excellent sound quality. The charging port was noticeably loose and didnt connect well after one year, but I made due with adjusting the position of the cord for a while. Wish I could afford a new pair now, but will keep an eye out for a sale.

I’ve been using this headset exclusively for gaming on both my PC and PS4 for a month and a half now. Overall, I’d say it’s a very good headset and a nice upgrade from my Logitech G930 headset. Sound - (5/5) quality sound on both the PC and PS4. Take note that you don’t get true 7.1 surround sound on the console - that’s only capable on the PC. Mic - (4/5) my friends say that I cut out sometimes when I talk. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s too far from my mouth but I haven’t had any other complaints. The mic is also retractable, which is pretty convenient. Aesthetics - (4/5) pretty solid looking headset. They didn’t cheap out on the materials used. However, I’m not a big fan of the strap to adjust the fit on your head. It’ll be a hit or miss for some people. Comfort - (2.5/5) The biggest letdown with this headset. After gaming for at least 3 hours the top of my ears start to hurt. I have a rather average sized head and ears so I was so disappointed to find out that they bothered my ears after prolonged gaming. This could be a make or break for many but I’d advise seeing if other reviewers are having the same issue. Button placement - (3/5) for some reason they placed all the buttons right where your hands would grab when you’re pulling them off your head, so it’s easy to accidentally change up some settings. The mute button is also on the back left side of the headset, so it isn’t easily accessible and will have you clumsily feeling around before you press it. Tip: if you’re using this headset for the first time and cannot hear your fellow gamers in voice chat, you need to roll the wheel on the bottom right side of the headset. There’s a setting that allows you to drown out voice chat and turn up the game’s audio instead. Hope this helped!

I could wear these all day and practically forget they are on. The headband cushions the weight wonderfully, and despite my big head, I havent had a problem with the limited adjustability. The biggest complaints in terms of build I have are the two volume dials being a little too easy to accidentally adjust, and that I would prefer a flip up mic rather than roll out style this has, but that hasnt cause any actual problems. Sound quality is quite good, the best wireless Ive had. Im sure for several hundred more I could get better sound quality, but I think these are already at the sweet spot. Battery life is quite decent, enough that I havent really paid attention to how long they last before needing a charge. The signal strength is really where it shines. I can not only go anywhere in my apartment without interruption, I can walk out the door (on the far side of my apartment, with two walls in between) around the corner and down the hall about 30 feet before it finally begins to cut in and out. Other features I appreciate are the line in and out on the wireless transmitter, which is also on a long cord to allow for optimal placement. I also love the 3.5mm output on the headset themselves, allowing me to easily share sound. I actually find this quite useful for linking to my partners headphones when we watch streaming video while chatting with friends over discord, allowing us to cast to our TV without the sound coming over the microphone. Will most people use those features? Probably not, but they are also just the icing on the cake.

But I cant. In fact, I usually dont write 3 star reviews, but in some ways, I feel like Im being generous. I actually have two of these headsets. I personally found them so comfortable, that when I had to stop b/c of running out of power (and FYI, the 24 hour estimate is hogwash!) I wanted a second pair to put on, despite the annoyance of having to go into Windows to reset my audio every whatever. Heres the thing though. This set has a TON of quirks that Ive just never seen in another set. And, TL;DR - its enough for me to finally give up on the most comfortable headset ever. 1. Beeping. Go google it. Youll find TONS of people saying the thing beeps, and there are just as many solutions, but in my case, none of them work. Get this: even muting system sounds doesnt make it stop. Somehow, this has a receiver thats sitting not three feet from the headset itself, yet, it still makes disconnection sounds, sometimes, about ten in 5 seconds. Yes, that fast. Its insane. 2. As mentioned by others, distortion. Dropping $150 on a headset, you figure you can crank this puppy up, but nope. Particularly with voices (like watching 90% of youtube or twitch), when a person is talking, its very easy to pick up a lot of cracking and distortion. 3. The aforementioned time. Good grief, Im lucky if I get ten hours out of this thing after a year. Its certainly not 20+. 4. is related to 3 so...I did figure out this one issue - I had thought it wouldnt take a charge, but in actuality, theres a bug in the software where the green light on the power button (which is where you know its charged) turns red.. and STAYS RED. It was out of the warranty period, so I bought another headset, but turns out, that if you leave it plugged in while its charging, and then turn it on, while plugged in, the light turns back to green. ...? WTF! Yes, its a known bug, they havent fixed it (and face it, they wont now) but, if you have this headset - youre welcome. /eyeroll 5. Volume. As others have noted, at MAX setting there are times when I can barely hear whats being played, which is kind of insane. I have a Razer Synapse that performs WAY better. I just have to assume their governor in the Arctis 7 is set to protect the user, but in fact, its really disappointing. Im all for not blaring music, but this is ridiculous. 6. Did I mention the beeping? Ive tried so many things - moving the receiver (it comes with one that is already 3 feet long - it sits on my desk). I also learned that plugging a headset into a USB hub can cause issues (and it did seem to get a little better when I took out that thing from the loop) but it didnt fix the problem. And, when its fully charged, it seems like it works a bit better. Sometimes I can get a few hours without any beeps. But then, another time, Ill pull it off the shelf (I have three headsets hanging on the wall behind me) and BAM.. fresh off a charger, it beeps at me about 30 times in a minute, and I just give up and go back to a Razer I have. I definitely cannot recommend this headset to anyone else. I read on many websites a few years ago how this one went back and forth with a few other brands for being the best available at the time, but I just dont see it. When they have several common errors that they refuse to fix, one just has to assume its the company not willing to go the distance. Am now in search of another wireless headset that

I love my Arctis 7s, theyre incredibly comfortable and the sound quality is very good (from a non-audiophile). I wear them almost every workday for the whole day while Im on meetings, in addition to using them for PC gaming. It was plug-and-play on both Windows and Linux, and they have become my go-to headphones for being on airplanes (using the included wire to connect to my phone). The charge lasts for a long time, though I typically charge them whenever Im not using them anyway. They arent noise cancelling, but they muffle it pretty well (I often get snuck up on by my family when I am wearing them). I dont really use the included mic, since I have a better usb mic, but when Linux resets to using the headset mic my coworkers can immediately tell because of the decrease in sound quality. The adjustable ski goggles strap is nice, it makes the headset feel lighter and helps it sit at exactly the right height. That said, the headphones are a bit lose and will fall off if I lean too far forward or backward.

I work from home (remotely for a team based elsewhere), so Im constantly on conference calls. We use a VOIP app at work (sort of like Skype for Business), so all of our calls are through the computer. Ive been using a bluetooth headset (Plantronics Voyager 5200) which is great for phone calls, but for conference calls with a bunch of people sitting around a table, its not great. Some people are close to the phone and are super loud, others are further away and are unintelligibly quiet, and adjusting the volume all the time isnt great. After work, I game a lot. Usually while on TeamSpeak. Ive been using a set of desktop speakers and a mic mounted under one of my monitors. With volume detection, Im able to get TS to pick up my voice when Im talking, and ignore mouse and keyboard sounds when Im not, but the speaker audio isnt great (and is only stereo), and the mic is pitiful. So, it was time for a new purchase. I wanted something that would give me great audio quality, preferably with some measure of surround sound, and some good equalizer settings to tune game sounds (accentuate footsteps and weapon clicks, downplay deep explosive bass and such). But it also needed to have clear stereo sound and a good mic, for work. And if possible, be wireless (because I already have too many cables running around on my desk to begin with). After a lot of research, I decided on the Arctis 7, and when it came yesterday, I was completely blown away. My first conference call with them was like I was sitting in the room! Everything was so clear. I turned up the dynamic range compression (which says it compensates for fluctuations in volume), and it was remarkable. The mic worked very well, too, and my coworkers said that the keyboard sounds (which used to be nearly deafening from my mechanical keyboard) were much quieter. They could hear me better, and the keyboard was quiet (though still audible). In the evening, I had an evening of gaming with a friend of mine, and tuning the gaming audio with surround sound settings and such was awesome. The level of detail Ive been missing in my games is ridiculous! It sounds great now. The chat mix dial was awesome for adjusting chat levels when needed, but really, all the audio was so clear, I really didnt need to mess with it much. Regarding build quality, packaging, etc., these headphones feel very high end. Great build quality, solid materials, and so comfortable! I wore them for a couple hours during the day, and again for several hours in the evening, and though I cant say I was ever at risk of forgetting they were on and walking away, I definitely can say that they were completely comfortable. The only complaints I have are minor, but in the interest of completeness, here they are: * The cables that come with the headphones dont feel particularly durable. They arent braided or anything, so I could see them wearing out well before the headphones do. But, theyre all standard type cables, so theyd be easy to replace. The mobile audio cable does use a somewhat uncommon 8 pin mini USB, more commonly seen on cameras, but as long as you know what to look for, you can find them for cheap. * The battery indication is pretty disappointing. You have a green light for 50-100%, yellow for 20-50%, and red for under 20% (slow flash for 10-20%, fast flash for 0-10%). Nowhere in the software or on the headphones does it show you a percentage. And, when youre charging them, I really dont know how to tell when theyre done charging. All I know is that theyre somewhere between 50-100% charged. Thats a pretty big range! In summary, Im blown away by these headphones. I was hesitant to shell out $120 for them, but now that I have them, I can definitely say they were worth it.

Overall: 4.3/5 Pros: Fantastic retractable mic. So much so, in fact, my guild has said they never knew I had a voice for radio. Sound quality is what I would expect. Its nothing earth shattering but it deserves full marks for entry level audiophile gear. Battery will last all day before needing a charge. Wireless; its why I bought these. Just being wireless is such a great feature. I can work around my space and listen to music at the same time. I can even get up and use the restroom and just mute my mic. This might sound trivial but anyone whos used headphones at a computer for extended periods of time has inevitably gotten up and walked away with them eventually yanking them off your head. Cons: Its possible this set of headphones wont fit you or will more likely just feel tight. My head measures 7-3/4, Ive got a big head, and Im at the max band length for these. As a result the headphones always feel a little tight and will result in fatigue around the ears around hour three. Its just odd that Im so close to literally not being able to wear them. This is more an opinion of mine; I cant stand charging with micro-USB. I find the connector to always feel brittle and fragile. Id rather it be a Type-C plug.
