> 3 dayLiterally the best headset Ive ever used, and Ive tried quite a few. My brother owns a pair of high-end Astros and I actually like these better because I find that they dont hurt my head or ears at all and theyre very lightweight. The included tiny bluetooth connector makes the whole user experience very plug and play and gives it great sound quality and solid connection which I love. The sound quality for both music and gaming is pretty incredible by the way. I would consider myself an audiophile and while these arent necessarily studio quality, the sound profile was impressive to me. Very balanced/loud, and while I wish there was slightly stronger bass response, for wireless headphones I cant complain at all. For gaming, the sound profile works extremely well which is the point of this product anyway. A lot of people in the reviews complained about the build quality and them breaking easily or losing elasticity in the headband, but I havent experienced any of those issues and its been a few months now. As long as you take good care of them theyll be fine. The only bad thing about this headset is that the microphone is slightly annoying to pull out or push back in and the mute button can also be kind of annoying to find with your finger and push every time you need it. However, I kind of like that the microphone hides inside the headset because it protects it really well, especially in transit, so its a double-edged sword. But those are tiny cons anyway. This is definitely in my list of top 10 amazon purchases of all time. UPDATE: The Arctis 7 is still an amazing headset. My one gripe after a year is the quality of the MicroUSB charging port. After about 8 months, it somehow got damaged even though I took great care of it and I could no longer wear the headset and charge it at the same time without taping or clipping the cable in a certain position. It makes me a little sad considering everything else about this headset was such a great experience. I tried to get a replacement and Steelseries was willing to do so, but they were making me jump through hoops and asked me to purposefully break my old headset and send pictures so I couldn’t fix or resell it instead of just sending it back??? The whole thing kinda rubbed me the wrong way and I just gave up and bought the Arctis Pro since I was getting tired of charging anyway. But yeah I really wish they just used a USB-C port instead. MicroUSB is so fragile.

> 3 dayIve been using these Arctis 7 since March 2021. These are the best Ive owned so far I previously have used 2 Afterglow and 2 Turtle beaches headsets and they all have their ups and downs but these are well off all around. For starters the Afterglows would die too fast likely because of all the RGB lights they have all around The Arctis 7 last a very long time and if your like me on a Ps4 they last you around 16 hours plus you can just charge while playing. The noise cancelling is pretty good i have had countless people walk into my room and i am unaware of their presence because i cant hear nothing but the game. The surround sound is amazing you can easily tell whether footsteps are on your left, right, above, and below. Now the volume of sound on these is what shocked me they are extremely loud so even if you are deaf you will hear everything perfectly. It was so loud I had to change the max volume input to the headset through the PS4 and its on literally 3 out of the 20 bars or so you have to pick from. ALSO THE SKI MASK HEADBAND DESIGN IS SO COMFORTABLE!

> 3 daySo it clearly states 24h battery, but Ive never gotten more than 14 out of mine. And while granted, 14 hours is enough for all day, Id like to have known that up front. Also the fact that SteelSeries has their own proprietary connection is still kind of annoying, especially with how much they charge for a replacement. Also, I personally hate the Game Chat dial feature. On more than one occasion I have not realized it was dialed all the way to Game and not realized I couldnt hear anyone talking. One time it even happened in a meeting, very embarrassing. There is no indication or alert or anything about it. There could be zero activity and Game and maxed volume sounds in Chat, but if the dial is set to Game, you would never know. I have no problems with clamping or the ski fabric that other users have. But there is one feature that the Arctis 7 has that I really like. The transceiver includes Line In and Line Out ports. This is really great for me if I want to use my computers audio, but also want audio from my PS4 or Switch or phone. Gone are the days of my wearing headphones over earbuds.

Greater than one weekWould be amazing if it didn’t add its own programs to the computer and I don’t want it.

> 3 dayWireless headsets are hard to find satisfying for me, but Ive heard lots of great things about the Arctis series. I decided to give it a shot September 2020. The sound quality isnt all that praiseworthy. Handles treble great at lower volumes, bass is pretty lackluster all around. Im used to Sennheiser headsets because I dont like to compromise sound quality all that often, but I wanted something a little friendlier for streaming and gaming in general so I was okay with the drop in quality. The mixer feature is really convenient and probably my favorite feature of the whole headset. It allows you to balance two different audio feeds straight from your headset which, if managed properly, is incredible for low budget streaming purposes. It is, however, very unconventional if you want to lay down and chat as the dials often get caught so youll often find your headset muted if youre not careful enough. Retractable mic is mighty convenient as the quality of it is poor. Definitely gives your voice that VoIP effect. Again, not bad if youre streaming/need a multi mic set up for whatever reason. Comes with a mute button for convenience. Comfort is by far the best experience Ive had for a wireless headset, compared to Astros or Turtle Beaches, but is still rather uncomfortable. I upgraded to (~$15, 3rd party) pleather ear covers which felt essential because filth easily clings to the default cloth kind. It has an adjustable strap on top for tightness, but I found that after prolonged use, no adjusting could save me from the ear fatigue. If I didnt rest my ears by using my speakers, it would lead to headaches. The most frustrating part of this mediocre experience has been that after only 9 months, the headset has decided to stop functioning wirelessly, defeating the entire purpose of the purchase for me. The headset never leaves my desk except for the occasional tv binging session. It showed signs of stopping, such as turning off randomly by itself despite having active audio feeds. Then it stopped holding charge altogether. The take away from this lengthy review is DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS SELLER. Steelseries products have a warranty for 1 year IF YOU PURCHASE FROM AN AUTHORIZED VENDOR. I tried contacting them thinking I would be covered because I had the invoice for my Steelseries product and followed their steps to the tee. Unfortunately, since I purchased from this vendor, who is impossible to get in contact with, Im stuck with a faulty product that could have otherwise been fixed. Apparently, this is a fairly common issue for these headsets to have (thus the year warranty). Its not the worst product, but its not worth purchasing from unauthorized vendors such as this one.

08-06-2025Comparing to the Hyperx cloud 2 (which i paid the same amount for) these are not as comfortable and do not have equivalent sound quality. If this headset were wired it would be around $60-$70 or so. So yeah you are paying for wireless, but nothing really amazing in terms of overall quality. Sound quality 7/10 If youre trying to listen to music it seems you have to leave the EQ untouched, otherwise your bass is going to be too loud and cause a very noticeable, very bothersome static/ vibrating noise. If youre looking to play games it depends on what you play. Things like car engines/ jet planes should be very loud, with deep bass for immersion and its the same issue as with music- this headset doesnt produce a ton of bass without making bad vibes. I recommend leaving the EQ Flat- with no bass boost. It seems that is the only way I can turn the headset up as loud as it can go and not have noticeable static/ vibrations. However, once youve found what works best for you the sound is pretty clear, and once you get used to the overall sound it does has enough depth to satisfy your ears. Comfortability is 8/10 I can wear it for hours and it never becomes noticeably uncomfortable/ painful, only after many many hours is it a little bothersome, but really just taking the headset off for 5 minutes is more than enough, really I cant think of anything I can do all day without being uncomfortable, so yeah they are fine, but still not nearly as comfortable as my Hyperx Cloud 2. (They have leather ear cups and headband, definitely nicer than the materials used on the Arctis 7) It isnt a bad headset overall, but lacks anything which makes it very good, other than being wireless. I would recommend it if you want less immersion than a wired headset of the same price- but with the freedom of Bluetooth.

> 3 dayI wanted this headset mainly due to that many influencers uses it such as faze and etc. I thought it was going to be the best of the best, but was disappointed. The sound that the headset produces comes out tinny and dried out. I tried to fix the audio by downloading the software and trying out my own settings. I’ve also tried other people’s settings. This headset isn’t known for its noise cancellation feature, so don’t hold too much expectation on that. It doesn’t block out that much noise. You can still hear people within a 10-15ft radius. The build of the headset isn’t up to par, but I can deal with it. The design of the headset, the Way it can swivel makes the frame ridged. I’m not a fan of the band used the adjust the size. If you have a big head the top of the headset bar would sit on your head. It can get uncomfortable especially because it doesn’t have that much padding. Overall I would buy this headset due to the hype surrounding it. I love the matte black it looks sleek. I would not buy this headset for the price even though it’s wireless or Bluetooth. I gave the “Gaming” category a 4/5 due to the hype. I gave the “sound quality” a 3/5 because it’s not the great for the price. I gave the “noise cancellation” a 2/5 because it’s pretty much non existent. If you have the original soft mesh material it’s not going to do much. If you have the leather it’s an improvement, but annoying how you can’t chose before buying.

Greater than one weekWhen I first saw these reviews I was very hesitant to purchase this headset, however I think it was worth it. The delivery time only took a day to deliver since I am a Prime user, so for any user that isnt Prime, they may have a completely experience regarding delivery time and customer service. First thing I noticed when I opened up the headset are the three cables: one for the wireless feature, one for charging, and the last for plugging into a controller or devices with the respected headphone jack size. Pairing my headset with my laptop was simple enough if you read the instructions so I did not have any difficulty there. As for comfort, it is wonderful so far! Once I put it on, it was like a pillow for my head and there is little tightness, and as a decently small person of 52 this headset may not be for wide-built people since theres no adjustability. I would like to address the noise cancellation, it is pretty good! Though, you may hear a bit of background muttering so your listening experience will not block out loud noises like a dog barking at a mailman lol. As for sound quality, I was a bit sad that the bass did not impact me so much when listening to music, but the sound is very nice, but if you love to listen to bass-focused music/soundtracks you should look for a different headset focusing on a quality music listening. Overall, pretty comfortable yet slightly tight (not for big/wide-built heads), decent sound quality (bass isnt that great), and it blocks out random talking but not extremely loud noises nearby. These headphones are perfect for gaming though.

> 3 dayOverall: 4.3/5 Pros: Fantastic retractable mic. So much so, in fact, my guild has said they never knew I had a voice for radio. Sound quality is what I would expect. Its nothing earth shattering but it deserves full marks for entry level audiophile gear. Battery will last all day before needing a charge. Wireless; its why I bought these. Just being wireless is such a great feature. I can work around my space and listen to music at the same time. I can even get up and use the restroom and just mute my mic. This might sound trivial but anyone whos used headphones at a computer for extended periods of time has inevitably gotten up and walked away with them eventually yanking them off your head. Cons: Its possible this set of headphones wont fit you or will more likely just feel tight. My head measures 7-3/4, Ive got a big head, and Im at the max band length for these. As a result the headphones always feel a little tight and will result in fatigue around the ears around hour three. Its just odd that Im so close to literally not being able to wear them. This is more an opinion of mine; I cant stand charging with micro-USB. I find the connector to always feel brittle and fragile. Id rather it be a Type-C plug.
