> 24 hourWhen I first saw these reviews I was very hesitant to purchase this headset, however I think it was worth it. The delivery time only took a day to deliver since I am a Prime user, so for any user that isnt Prime, they may have a completely experience regarding delivery time and customer service. First thing I noticed when I opened up the headset are the three cables: one for the wireless feature, one for charging, and the last for plugging into a controller or devices with the respected headphone jack size. Pairing my headset with my laptop was simple enough if you read the instructions so I did not have any difficulty there. As for comfort, it is wonderful so far! Once I put it on, it was like a pillow for my head and there is little tightness, and as a decently small person of 52 this headset may not be for wide-built people since theres no adjustability. I would like to address the noise cancellation, it is pretty good! Though, you may hear a bit of background muttering so your listening experience will not block out loud noises like a dog barking at a mailman lol. As for sound quality, I was a bit sad that the bass did not impact me so much when listening to music, but the sound is very nice, but if you love to listen to bass-focused music/soundtracks you should look for a different headset focusing on a quality music listening. Overall, pretty comfortable yet slightly tight (not for big/wide-built heads), decent sound quality (bass isnt that great), and it blocks out random talking but not extremely loud noises nearby. These headphones are perfect for gaming though.

> 24 hourI love everything about this headset except for the headband. Sound: fantastic, plus being able to balance desktop sounds and Discord audio on the fly is tops. Function: great, muting is tactile and you always know when youve done it, mic position is always correct thanks to the flex mic, you can use them while charging, and theres a manual connection option. Minor quibble here: the engravings on the base station are nearly impossible to see, easily fixed with a minute of liquid paper whiteout, pictured. Microphone: Clarity is really good for a headset mic, I only need to switch to the desktop mic when doing a recording, headset mic works great for chatting, phone calls, streaming, etc. Feel: This is where I drop a star. While the overall comfort is great, I wear this almost 12 hours a day and the headband stretched out after only 6 months requiring me to get a replacement from the SS website for $15. Also, the ear cups dont have an obvious way to be removed/cleaned, and if you use these all day like I do they will get gross. All in all a good headset but I wish I didnt have to spend $30 a year on maintenance via replacing the headband, so 4 stars.

> 24 hourI’ll start with the pros: The headset looks great, fits well, and has a long charge on the battery. The cons, however, are what turned me off to this headset. Trying to connect the headset to my PS4 and Xbox One X consoles gave me lower results than what I had hoped for. On the PlayStation the sounds wasn’t terrible. It was, however, a pretty major downgrade from my Turtle Beach PX5 as far as sound quality. My PX5 headset is 8+ years old by the way and gives better quality sound than this headset. I play games like PUBG and Fortnite where audio cues like footsteps, grenades, and enemy fire are important to coming out on top. With this headset, those audio cues were so low I couldn’t hear them, but sounds like close quarters fire fights were too loud. This is even after adjusting the settings through the program they tell you to download after you purchase the headset. Voice chat was okay when I used it. It was difficult to balance game sound and voice chat. I could never find the perfect balance. Either the game was too loud and voice chat was low, or game sound was too low and voice chat was okay. For the Xbox, this headset is just a glorified and very expensive headset. You couldn’t connect it to the Xbox any other way than through the controller or the adapter for the controller that Microsoft sells separately. Without the adapter, all sound to the headset was too low. Game sound and voice chat. With the adapter, it was much better, but again, it is just a glorified and expensive pair of headphones. To improve the sound quality, i purchased the SteelSeries GameDAC. The GameDAC did indeed improve the sound quality, but it wasn’t easy to figure out as far as the setup. On top of that, the GameDAC turned my wireless headset into a wired headset. That meant that I had to purchase extra audio cords just so my headset would reach from the TV stand all the way to my couch. Finally, using the GameDAC to improve the sound quality meant that voice chat quality plummeted. For the PlayStation, my voice through the microphone was much lower. I felt like I had to shout to be heard. For the Xbox, I had to have the headset actually turned on for me to hear voice chat. With the headset turned off, I got game sound and other players could hear me, but I couldn’t hear them. All in all, their were WAY too many hoops to jump through to get the headset to work the way I wanted them to with the PS4 and the Xbox. Setup was easy with just the headset, but EXTREMELY complicated when connected to the SteelSeries GameDAC. If you want a good headset for your PS4 or Xbox, I’d look somewhere else.

> 24 hourUpdate: I barely use these things, and they broke. The headphones hung in a desk cabinet and were forgotten about for a good 4-5 months because I hate dealing with the new app. I just picked them up and the left ear has no sound. If I turn the left earpiece I get crackle and low sound. Mic doesnt work either. The Volume slider works, but theres a crackle/hiss when the wheel is turned. While not in use, these managed to get a wire loose or something. lol. The new App is also junk..with the old app, the sound would improve a good deal once I opened the app. I didnt mind the trouble of opening each time I used the headphones. Now with the new GG app, I have to fight with it just to recognize my headset every time. Sometimes I have to restart, other times Ive had to uninstall and then reinstall to get my headphones detected. GG? Talk about an ambitious name fail... Used to love their mice and controllers, so I got their headphones. Now, you couldnt pay me to get anything Steel Series again. Just another company that got successful and then switched to cheap goods for profit. Im just tossing these...dont even care if theres a warranty or not. That GG app really sucks. Ive been using the earbuds I use with my phone on my PC instead. The mic isnt nearly as good, but they work and I dont need to spin in a chair 27 times on a full moon in order to get them to connect and work like I do with these headphones. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. ***************************************** I’ve been using these for about a month. Prior to this I’ve only had in-ear buds for as long as memory serves. Pros + Battery Life +Above average sound. Good for games and movies, slightly above average for music. The surround works for me without a problem. +Great Range, minor blips but only in areas where disruption was expected. +Long battery life, charge indicators, recharges pretty quickly Meh +Mic may require sampling rate adjustment to DVD quality, then works great. - Comfort is tolerable…barely at times. If I was using these for marathon sessions I would have kept looking. Cons - Needs software to really shine. Not just surround, the quality jumps when I open the program. - I would rate volume as being 7/10. Maxed out, volume is totally tolerable unlike just about all of my other headphones. - Minimal instructions don’t cover much. - Volume rockers aren’t super loose to me, but I promise you’re going to touch them each and every time you touch the headphones, so they could benefit from being significantly stiffer. - Mic could be a little longer, an extra inch at max though. For the most part I’m happy and the only thing that will have me considering a replacement is a comparatively priced pair that also has Bluetooth capabilities. Having to use the wire when on my phone is probably my biggest complaint. I knew that going in so I won’t deduct for it. I was completely underwhelmed by the instructions. Basic features and that’s it. Being that these were my first “gaming headset” I was hoping a little bit more would be covered. I can do research, but I shouldn’t have to. The audio is better than 90% of what I have used…mostly mid-end Bluetooth stereo headphones or wired headphones, so I can’t compare it against other gaming headsets…but I’m happy with them. Nothing gets tinny or washes out. Bass is deep without rattling my fillings. The volume could definitely be louder. They work great in a quiet house/office, but quiet movies in a loud environment would be very frustrating. If you’ve got issues with hearing, I wouldn’t recommend these…there has to be louder sets out there. There is no possible way I would rely on these for a plane ride. At low volume, I can hear the dog barking next door. He isnt that loud, so Id give isolation a 4/10. The mic works great, but the default quality is CD and sounds terrible. Going to sounds>heaphones properties>advanced and changing the sampling rate to 48000 hz / DVD quality in Win10 fixed that. Quality after that adjustment is crystal clear and at a regular volume. Still, the little mic wand could be longer so that it could be better adjusted…it hangs near the corner of my mouth which could affect quality depending on how you speak. The range is great. These headphones have a slightly larger range than my default Bluetooth headsets…sometimes I get a little sound blip or brief static when going between rooms, but its gone before I can react. The battery life is as advertised. Lasts me a few days no problem, recharges quickly and there is a charging indicator on the mic. Timeout can be customized which is great for battery life. Comfort is tolerable. This might be just my preference for in-ear headphones…but other over the ear headphones are generally uncomfortable to me. These are…slightly better than others I’ve tried. The top band leaves a dent in my hair, but it is otherwise comfortable. The ear cups get hot in a hurry…the ear cups also cause the tops of my ears to start to ache after a couple hours. Breaks are needed with these….I would not recommend for marathon users…but comfort is subjective, so you never know until you try. The volume wheels aren’t super loose on mine, but I still touch and change the volume levels every-freaking-time I take these headphones on and off…pretty annoying, especially when you turn the volume all the way to chat and think there’s something wrong with them. readjusting volume becomes second nature quickly, but Id rather not have to. These volume controls should have been stiffer, or a tick style wheel instead of a smooth roll. There is a tick at the midway point between chat and sound levels. To sum up the software…I open the profile every time I connect these. More often than not, I notice a jump in quality. I just open the program every time now just in case it needs to be activated. I don’t mind because the jump in quality is worth it and takes a whole 2 seconds to do. Overall, I’m happy. I did a little research beyond all the paid Youtuber reviews beforehand, so I knew to get better I’d have to pay double at the least. I got these during the Primeday sale. Honestly, wait for a price drop or a sale, because I don’t think these are worth the regular retail…maybe if they had Bluetooth also…

> 24 hourMy Logitech G930s (second pair) finally broke (that yoke that always breaks). Over the years, my sons and I have had probably 5 pairs. My oldest sons broke and Logitech sent him a set of G533s - which were garbage. They were too tight on our head (led to headaches) and they just didnt have good sound. The 930s were so volume limited, they were never loud enough once you had modern drivers. So when I needed new WIRELESS headphones, I started looking at SteelSeries and bought the Arctis 7s, as they have been highly rated. First, they are PLENTY loud (I find Im turning them down more). Second, they are comfortable. Once you do a little tweaking with the software, they sound great (they are a bit boomy out of the box) and the mic, which doesnt sound as good in the tests on YouTube is really not bad at all. Navigation and controls are all very good - you can pretty much set everything by feel. Theres no RGB (YAY) which you cant see anyway - so why chew your battery up? One hint that is very useful is to get a magnetic micro usb cable - makes charging the headphones a snap (look for: NetDot 2 Pack 2nd Generation 6.6ft USB Fast Charging Magnetic Micro USB Cable with LED Indicator Compatible with Android Device (6.6 feet/2 Black) ). They do work with anything that has an audio jack (1/8 or 3.5mm, I think, like an older iPhone) but then they arent wireless then. You can plug them in to an XBox controller. Oh and SteelSeries even seems to have a more robust Yoke (connection from headband to the ear cups) than the Logitechs... Time will tell. In the meantime - Id have no problem recommending the Arctis 7s for gaming, music or general listening.

> 24 hourI was initially deterred by a couple of the negative reviews about the Arctis 7 headphones, but decided to take the risk and try them out. I have had mine now for about half a month and absolutely love them! Pros: - Very comfortable. I can wear these for 6+ hours at a time, through work and games, without issue. - Good battery life - Granular surround and equalizer configuration options using SteelSeries Engine - There is a dial on the back right earcup that allows you to change the volume balance of a voice chat (e.g. Discord) and the rest of your computers audio output. I love this feature and use it a lot in situations such as when Im playing a multiplayer game and need to hear the voice chat better or vice versa. - Great sound. I own a pair of AirPods Pro and Bose QuietComforts and find that the sound from the Arctis holds up well against those. Im no audiophile but can appreciate a good soundstage and balance. Cons: - The mic extension feels flimsy and Im worried Ill accidentally break it if I tug on it too hard. I definitely try to be extra careful handling that. - Like some other reviews mention, the volume dials are easy to accidentally move if you are putting the headphones on or taking them off. - Like most wireless headsets, the mic isnt going to be absolutely stunning, and Ive had a couple of people comment on my loss of voice quality since switching from a wired headset. This isnt a huge deal by any means, but Id suggest pairing these with a more serious condenser mic if you care about that sort of thing. Overall, I love the freedom afforded to me by wireless headphones, and the Arctis 7 more than satisfy my wants for a gaming headset.

> 24 hourComparing to the Hyperx cloud 2 (which i paid the same amount for) these are not as comfortable and do not have equivalent sound quality. If this headset were wired it would be around $60-$70 or so. So yeah you are paying for wireless, but nothing really amazing in terms of overall quality. Sound quality 7/10 If youre trying to listen to music it seems you have to leave the EQ untouched, otherwise your bass is going to be too loud and cause a very noticeable, very bothersome static/ vibrating noise. If youre looking to play games it depends on what you play. Things like car engines/ jet planes should be very loud, with deep bass for immersion and its the same issue as with music- this headset doesnt produce a ton of bass without making bad vibes. I recommend leaving the EQ Flat- with no bass boost. It seems that is the only way I can turn the headset up as loud as it can go and not have noticeable static/ vibrations. However, once youve found what works best for you the sound is pretty clear, and once you get used to the overall sound it does has enough depth to satisfy your ears. Comfortability is 8/10 I can wear it for hours and it never becomes noticeably uncomfortable/ painful, only after many many hours is it a little bothersome, but really just taking the headset off for 5 minutes is more than enough, really I cant think of anything I can do all day without being uncomfortable, so yeah they are fine, but still not nearly as comfortable as my Hyperx Cloud 2. (They have leather ear cups and headband, definitely nicer than the materials used on the Arctis 7) It isnt a bad headset overall, but lacks anything which makes it very good, other than being wireless. I would recommend it if you want less immersion than a wired headset of the same price- but with the freedom of Bluetooth.

> 24 hourI absolutely loved these headphones. They worked amazing for 4 years, but unfortunately, the charging port literally fell out of them today. I feel that the port is a big enough issue where i cant give this 5 stars, but Ill give it 4 for the years of excellent sound quality. The charging port was noticeably loose and didnt connect well after one year, but I made due with adjusting the position of the cord for a while. Wish I could afford a new pair now, but will keep an eye out for a sale.

> 24 hourI’ve been using this headset exclusively for gaming on both my PC and PS4 for a month and a half now. Overall, I’d say it’s a very good headset and a nice upgrade from my Logitech G930 headset. Sound - (5/5) quality sound on both the PC and PS4. Take note that you don’t get true 7.1 surround sound on the console - that’s only capable on the PC. Mic - (4/5) my friends say that I cut out sometimes when I talk. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s too far from my mouth but I haven’t had any other complaints. The mic is also retractable, which is pretty convenient. Aesthetics - (4/5) pretty solid looking headset. They didn’t cheap out on the materials used. However, I’m not a big fan of the strap to adjust the fit on your head. It’ll be a hit or miss for some people. Comfort - (2.5/5) The biggest letdown with this headset. After gaming for at least 3 hours the top of my ears start to hurt. I have a rather average sized head and ears so I was so disappointed to find out that they bothered my ears after prolonged gaming. This could be a make or break for many but I’d advise seeing if other reviewers are having the same issue. Button placement - (3/5) for some reason they placed all the buttons right where your hands would grab when you’re pulling them off your head, so it’s easy to accidentally change up some settings. The mute button is also on the back left side of the headset, so it isn’t easily accessible and will have you clumsily feeling around before you press it. Tip: if you’re using this headset for the first time and cannot hear your fellow gamers in voice chat, you need to roll the wheel on the bottom right side of the headset. There’s a setting that allows you to drown out voice chat and turn up the game’s audio instead. Hope this helped!
