> 24 hourIts important to note that if you have wood windows without an inner frame / lip on the side of the windows, this *will not work*. The tabs on the sides need something to pull back against, if you rest the bottom of the bracket to push inward against the outer edge of the sill, then the A/C will be tilted forward and drain into the room. That said, this is mostly a documentation problem. If you have a window for which it will work, the product is very well made. It does seem like a few modifications could have made it usable for wood windows (e.g. second set of arms with a screw rather than tab-only option.)

> 24 hourFirst of all the instructions booklet with an English cover is in Spanish and the one with a Spanish cover is in English -- obviously not at big deal. Neither is it a big deal that the instructions are upside down. The construction quality seems very sturdy. I think this thing is going to hold up longer than the AC, possibly. I bought this for a new LG LW1019IVSM unit which weighs 63 lbs. Its holding the AC up without issue. However, I had to take the bracket back apart and re-assemble it backwards then put it back into the window as well as adding a piece of wood underneath it on the outside of the window. Without this, the bracket would raise up the unit so high thered be a huge gap underneath and other spaces allowing air to travel through. It has these optional clips with it that attach the accordion fins to the bracket but I really dont see a purpose in this. The 4/5 is the combination of the poor attention to detail on the manuals and the struggle finding a solution to make it work, which resulted in having to re-assemble it upside down and add a piece of wood underneath it. Shouldnt have to do that, especially not for $80.

> 24 hourMy 22,000 btu unit and I think most large ac units require the outside metal cabinet be installed and secured first. Then the actual ac unit is lifted up and slides into the cabinet from the home interior pushing the unit outward thru the window and into the cabinet. The ac units bottom is a tray that has all the components bolted to it. The bottom tray of the ac unit is the bottom of the whole air conditioner so the cabinet itself has a large opening in the bottom. Problem is the cabinet is open at the bottom with slide rails on each side. The cabinet falls down and around the bracket unsupported. Once installed the ac units bottom tray will rest on the bracket but the cabinet needs to be supported at during installation.

> 24 hourLike others have said, if your window isn’t a certain one, it won’t fit. Actually, my window did fit the description, but I could not get the window (that you bring down on top of the ac) to align with the rail in the bracket that the ac unit drops into. When I bring the window down, I have to lean the unit into the house to get the window all the way down on top of it to hold it in. Unfortunately, this tilts the ac unit into the house, which is exactly what you don’t want. I called the company, they called me back, I sent photos and they responded with an email that was not helpful. When I replied, I heard nothing back. I am unfortunately 18 days past my return date, so I am stuck with this thing that is totally useless. My advice is to call the company first and send them pictures of your windows to be sure it will fit. If it will fit, it’s a solid bracket.

> 24 hourI didnt want to pay ninety-nine dollars for this -- but there was no other solution. I must say, when it arrived I was very impressed with the packaging and build quality and my angst over the price dissipated to the point where I could swallow the price. Packaging -- it comes in foam packaging with cutouts for each part so they safely stay separated and undamaged. Build quality -- theres no way this is bending and it looks to be powder coated for a great finish that wont peel or rust easily. Problem: I had to return it though because it wasnt obvious to me that it would add an inch (eyeball measurement) to the overall height of the window sill. This made it impossible for me to fit my AC in the window. Even if I had been able to fit it in, I wasnt sure I liked how the feet were pressed against the bottom edge of my vinyl siding shingle (is that what its called?). I wish there was a way to lower the legs somehow so that I could place them squarely on the top part that is closest to my actual house where it wont be subject to the same pressure. I worried that over time the vinyl siding would crack.

> 24 hourAMAZING bracket. I have never owned one before now, but I cannot imagine there being a better product. No tools, assembles in under two minutes, lightweight but STRONG. It sits in the window, you adjust it to fit better and voila, the perfect platform for your A/C unit. The A/C unit slides onto it like a knife through warm butter. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Every penny. Spend the money on quality and innovation.

> 24 hourEvery AC unit that says its an easy install for windows lies (at least based on how my windows are set up) and although the price is steep, it makes installation a breeze for all unit sizes (works so well I bought 2). If you have difficulty getting your unit in the window every summer this is worth relieving the stress of that process. in terms of durability time will tell. given the perceived strength of the components im surprised it doesnt have a longer warranty which is a little frustrating but otherwise im satisfied.

> 24 hourI really a sturdy product, and very easy to install. Only thing is I wish I can get the shelf arm closer to the outside wall. Because the adjustment arm hole in 5ge last one. The arm still fall from touching the outside wall. I need the pull in my windows air-conditioning more in to the window, so the both outside support arm can touch the outside wall to support the air conditioning. That is why I give it a 4 Stars.

> 24 hourVERY easy to set up, but you do need to poke your head out of the window to make sure the feet are flat on the wall. If you dont do that, and something jostles the air conditioner, I can imagine dire things happening. The instruction booklet, like ALL instruction booklets, could use some work. Maybe larger, clearer illustrations. But, its true, you dont need any tools. One last thing - you need to use alternate methods to fill the gaps created using this bracket. There will be areas in front of and underneath the bracket to fill. Not a problem - I used bubble wrap. Bottom line - I feel that the entire unit is safer, and therefore, we are safer using it.
