> 3 dayGood idea, easy to install but didn’t fit our windowsill. It left a gap all along the bottom of the ac, not even tape would help.

> 3 dayConceptually, I think this is a great product. I really wanted to like it and make it work. Other reviewers have also mentioned they measured their windows and it didnt fit. I did the same. Based on measurements, it shouldve fit but didnt. If you have standard windows and are looking for an AC brace, I highly recommend. For the most part it was easy to put together. Mine showed up a bit scratched, which I noticed as I put it together. Also, when purchased I purchased under the TopShelf link but the Black & Decker branded one showed up. I guess they have a partnership but I can imagine it being confusing for some customers.

> 3 dayI bought this brace for my new AC and the pins cannot work since the holes do NOT line up .. Attempted to contact company regarding this and they never bothered to get back to me. I also found another person who had the same issue. Poor quality control. Poor customer service. DO NOT BUY UNLESS YOU KNOW HOW TO RE-LINE THE HOLES UP TO FIT

> 3 dayThis shelf does hold an air conditioner; mine held a large unit. It wasnt incredibly difficult to assemble. That being said, it did leave a gap at the bottom where outside air could easily infiltrate. I also found damage on my sill. Additionally, The water ran out of my unit down the closest leg and painted my brick wall white. It also rusted away all of the paint on one foot and introduced rust on the other foot. I also had difficulty keeping the pads in while installing the mount. Its a good concept but the product needs a little more quality control.

> 3 dayAMAZING bracket. I have never owned one before now, but I cannot imagine there being a better product. No tools, assembles in under two minutes, lightweight but STRONG. It sits in the window, you adjust it to fit better and voila, the perfect platform for your A/C unit. The A/C unit slides onto it like a knife through warm butter. Is it expensive? Yes. Is it worth it? Every penny. Spend the money on quality and innovation.

> 3 dayWorked very well. Sturdy and well-made. Used it for a 10,000 btu a/c that happened to be the same width as the arms. The platform is 19 wide, the gap between them is 15. The struts have good feet with rubber nubs on them, but I added a wood beam at the bottom to spread the load on the fiber/cement shingles, which are a little brittle. (Not much weight on them so it was probably unnecessary.) Also added a 1/4 sheet of plastic to the platform to slide the a/c on. (Also not necessary.) A small bedroom a/c would look small on this; I also got a Jeacent unit that is 15 wide and fits the small units better.

> 3 dayThings you should be aware of: 1) According to the manufacturer, even though it appears on Amazon as if this is being sold by the manufacturer it isnt, and shame on Amazon for not including.... 2) The product is not compatible with the type of heavy window unit where the sleeve and the chassis (the guts of the AC) are two separate pieces. The only way you find this out is by visiting the manufacturers store page on their website. 3) Product is dead easy to install but you will need to insulate the trough behind the adjustment brackets otherwise youll have free flowing air through your window underneath your AC. 4) Excellent customer service from the manufacturer despite the fact that I did not buy from him. The three stars is less for the quality of the product than it is for the experience I had with purchasing then finding out I cant use, or now return because the packaging is already gone.

> 3 dayHigh-quality product, making installation of window a/c really simple. Im using it for a 10k BTU Friedrich chill premier window a/c, its very sturdy and secured. Good overall, but theres one design flaw which is that a/c is installed level, and not slightly slanted towards the outside as recommended by the manufacturer. This happens because the brackets slot where the ACs bottom railing is sitting in is pushed out further from the window seal. Fortunately with my specific AC unit, this didnt cause any water to come into the house. Also, $90 is a bit pricey for a piece of metal bracket.

> 3 dayI was surprised that it was as good as they said it was . It had all the parts only a couple of dings in it so all I had to do was put a heavy spray seal on it just like new . Not often you get an item that’s $76.00 for $17.00 . Works great

> 3 dayI was very impressed with the apparent quality and workmanship of this unit (very versatile for just about any size and application) so I was very disappointed when my contractor tried to install it but said it would not work with my new Frigidaire window a/c unit. Im not a contractor so I cant say for sure why not, but I believe it had to do with the way the base of the a/c was made. They spent a lot of time trying to get it to work, but could not. Amazon return was smooth and painless - but I wish it would have worked. My a/c was installed in a window right over the street and if for no other reason but for visual assurance I wanted a beefy looking shelf unit to support it, and I am sure this would have been perfect -- even though Frigidaire said the a/c did not need any additional support. My 18,000 btu unit was very heavy and the contractor ended up fabricating his own supports for my peace of mind :-). I wish I could give further detailed information as to why it would not work with my a/c (it fit into the window perfectly) to help those reading this review decide whether to purchase - but Im not exactly sure what the contractors were up against but I do know they tried very hard to get it to work.
