09-06-2025The bracket is easy to put together and put into the window. I have two ac units - a heavier Frigidaire and a smaller Haier. After reading the reviews here I opted to use this with the smaller Haier. It slid onto the bracket with ease, and there was still space left on the sides and front of bracket so the unit is totally supported. The bracket is well packaged and the instructions are clear. This was a must for me as I did not want to drill holes and I live on a high floor where cars are parked underneath the window. It costs more but is worth saving the headache of using tools, when installing an ac unit is a hassle in and of itself. I would definitely recommend this to anyone living in an apartment who needs the added security of a bracket, and doesnt have the time or know how for putting together additional tools for their ac unit.

> 3 dayIt looks like a high-quality item, but it did not work for my window. Build quality is very good, almost over-engineered. The only issue that I have with this bracket is that for the type of window this would work for, you probably wouldnt even need such a heavy-duty bracket, since windows with adequate ledges can bear the weight of an air conditioner far better than those without. For those types of windows, there are far cheaper options (shims, 2 x 4s, etc) that would do the job just fine. Also, based upon the description and my measurements, this *should* have worked for me, but unfortunately, it did not - my ledge was just a hair too shallow. This possibility is something you might want to keep in mind, because returning it will be really inconvenient, should you need to. I do wish this would have worked. With this bracket, you could put a really big air conditioner in your window and rest secure knowing that it would be well supported. If a bracket is required by your HOA or apartment complex, this is the one. It really is a very nice bracket. Even though I had to return it, I give it five stars overall.

Greater than one weekEven though they clearly state its not for side sliding windows, I ordered it anyway. It does work for them, I had to put two small 2x4 blocks between the feet and outside wall! I also cut a piece of clear lexan to close the top of the AC to window top. It looks really good and a million times better than what I had before! The bracket itself required no tools, it sat right down in the window channel like a cradle. Light wheight yet heavy duty precision construction with a powder coat finish! I highly recommend this product!

08-06-2025I didnt want to pay ninety-nine dollars for this -- but there was no other solution. I must say, when it arrived I was very impressed with the packaging and build quality and my angst over the price dissipated to the point where I could swallow the price. Packaging -- it comes in foam packaging with cutouts for each part so they safely stay separated and undamaged. Build quality -- theres no way this is bending and it looks to be powder coated for a great finish that wont peel or rust easily. Problem: I had to return it though because it wasnt obvious to me that it would add an inch (eyeball measurement) to the overall height of the window sill. This made it impossible for me to fit my AC in the window. Even if I had been able to fit it in, I wasnt sure I liked how the feet were pressed against the bottom edge of my vinyl siding shingle (is that what its called?). I wish there was a way to lower the legs somehow so that I could place them squarely on the top part that is closest to my actual house where it wont be subject to the same pressure. I worried that over time the vinyl siding would crack.

> 3 dayI struggled for hours, trying to figure out exactly how to position the bracket. I then emailed the company and received a prompt reply, along with photos which depicted the tabs positioning better than the product insert or the online video. The companys owner asked if my windows are wood (they are) and noted that the bracket works better with vinyl or aluminum windows. I was able to establish a satisfactory, though not perfect, installation, which required slightly bending the brackets base against the inside window trim, which permits the air conditioner to tilt slightly to the outside for drainage. As with most window air conditioners, some filling in with foam is also necessary, but this is not a difficult task.

> 3 dayFirst of all the instructions booklet with an English cover is in Spanish and the one with a Spanish cover is in English -- obviously not at big deal. Neither is it a big deal that the instructions are upside down. The construction quality seems very sturdy. I think this thing is going to hold up longer than the AC, possibly. I bought this for a new LG LW1019IVSM unit which weighs 63 lbs. Its holding the AC up without issue. However, I had to take the bracket back apart and re-assemble it backwards then put it back into the window as well as adding a piece of wood underneath it on the outside of the window. Without this, the bracket would raise up the unit so high thered be a huge gap underneath and other spaces allowing air to travel through. It has these optional clips with it that attach the accordion fins to the bracket but I really dont see a purpose in this. The 4/5 is the combination of the poor attention to detail on the manuals and the struggle finding a solution to make it work, which resulted in having to re-assemble it upside down and add a piece of wood underneath it. Shouldnt have to do that, especially not for $80.

> 3 dayImpressed by sturdiness and ease of use. More expensive than many alternatives, but worth it for the strength and ease of application.

06-06-2025This was easy to assemble. It looks nice from the outside. We live in a second story condo and put it in our primary bedroom. It feels sturdy even with a heavy AC unit on it.

> 3 dayThis shelf does hold an air conditioner; mine held a large unit. It wasnt incredibly difficult to assemble. That being said, it did leave a gap at the bottom where outside air could easily infiltrate. I also found damage on my sill. Additionally, The water ran out of my unit down the closest leg and painted my brick wall white. It also rusted away all of the paint on one foot and introduced rust on the other foot. I also had difficulty keeping the pads in while installing the mount. Its a good concept but the product needs a little more quality control.
