At first, I thought the umbrella was going to be a large one (where at least 2 adults can walk under easily), but it wasnt. Im okay with that as its sleek, compact and effective. I wouldve given it 5 stars if it wasnt a little difficult to close. You have to really press down for it to lock properly. Other than that, its great.

The shed in my back yard suffered damage to its roof at the peak. This umbrella has worked great as a temporary fix to the hole. I simply climbed a ladder, pushed the umbrella through the hole, and used the automatic release to open it. I affixed a 3lb weight to the cord on the hand to hold it down. It has kept water out through 2 storms, one of which was quite heavy with strong wind and hail. I am overall very pleased with this umbrella for this purpose.

A very good, compact, umbrella. Operates exactly as you would expect for this kind of umbrella. It worked incredibly well for over a year, until it unfortunately broke. I contacted support, and without delay or question, they honored the warrantee, and had a replacement to me in a matter of days. I also want to point out that the reason it broke was that while compressing the unit closed after pressing the auto-close button, the head slipped out of my hand, and the umbrella tried to spring back open. This caused the top-center of the umbrella to break away from the top of the stalk, rendering the umbrella inoperable. So, when you go to reload the umbrella, Id advise doing it against the ground, or a hard surface, to make it easier to re-latch properly for the next use.

I bought this umbrella based on the reviews. Its a great umbrella with a unique mechanism. I would have given it 5 stars, but the only thing thats working against it is that it can be difficult to pull all the way back down to the locked positions once retracted. I feel like this will ease over time. It really isnt that big of a deal. The only time I could see it potentially being an issue is when youre trying to get in your car quickly during a downpour. Other than that its a great umbrella. Note: the Customer Service is SPECTACULAR. Tracy was amazing with my questions and concerns. Seriously, you cant put a price-tag on that kind of service. Buy THIS umbrella and stay dry!

I bought this umbrella a year ago (10/2019) and really liked it. But a week or so ago, I contacted customer service because it stopped opening/closing properly. They have a lifetime guarantee, so I reached out to them and in no time at all, I had a brand new umbrella! No hassles, no shipping the old one back to them, nothing. Just awesome customer service. Highly recommend! NOTE: I broke mine (my fault this time) in May 2023. Did not hesitate to purchase again. Really great product!

The first thing I noticed with this umbrella was that it felt incredibly sturdy. Considering the great price, I was really impressed with it right away. I just tested it out the next day during a very rainy/windy storm and while it looked like it was about to flip inside out (it was really windy), it did not! Consider me impressed. My only complaint is that it’s a bit on the heavy side so it might be cumbersome to carry with you in a smaller bag but it seems like a quality product so far. Happy with my purchase!

If you are looking for a compact umbrella that offers a decent amount of coverage, this is a good one. It is not very heavy, can be opened with one hand and packs up small. I needed an umbrella to keep in my backpack. This fit the bill. I have not tested its strength as whiel it rained, it was not windy. The umbrella seems strogn hweover. Nice umbrella... thx

So when you push the close button, only the fabric part folds, not the extension. The problem is, once you pop the umbrella, you have to collapse it to the start position completely to open again. I find this extremely inconvenient. When you get into a car, you just want to close the umbrella, chuck it on the floor, right? Now when you are getting out of the car, you have to close the extension with both hands and cant get away from getting soaked! You cant manually open the umbrella by pulling up the metal part that holds the fabric like other normal umbrellas. It doesnt lock! Kind of crazy they designed it this way.

Hello, I bought this Tradmall Umbrella back in March. It broke last month (May 2022). I was trying to close it after getting into my car, but something in it broke. I wanted to do a video, but it was a challenge. The umbrella won’t close or open. I attached a picture to show the permanent position. Before this issue, the umbrella worked flawlessly. I ended up ordering a new umbrella through a different vendor.
