Other IP cameras at the same price have a better picture. Personally I have 20 HikVison 4mp bullet IP POE cameras that only cost $95 each and their picture quality is so much better than this thing. Plus the HikVison cameras work with anyones software and the UniFi cameras will only work with UniFi protect software which is a hugh draw back. Look else where I suggest.

Unifi is the best integrated system on the planet. At the prices they’re charging for their enterprise level gear, you really have to wonder how anyone else is going to make it. Their NVR / Controller is less than $200 and made of aluminum. How?!

Died after less than 3 months, took out my POE switch with it, or so i thought. Turns out that the camera itself is dead, and when plugged into the switch will instantly kill power to everything else on the switch. Like Ubiquiti products on the whole, but this one is a dud and returning it is going to be problematic. I have another of these cameras connected to the same switch and its still working fine - its at least 6 months older than this one.

Works really well in the unified ecosystem

For those serious about home surveillance & savvy enough to setup their own NVR server, this is by far the best option on the market right now. Night vision IR is fantastic. Extremely easy to setup on-site or off-site. They look extremely professional and sleek and intimidating to unwanted visitors. Reliable NVR software, too. Buy them or the more expensive UniFi products. Theres really no reason to go with anything else. 10/10.

Fantastic performance and quality! The price and size are great. I wish there was more control over the motion sensing. Wish the ceiling mount worked for drywall as well as commercial drop ceiling.

Excellent little camera for the price, compared to other Ubiquiti cameras. It seems to run a little hot, but all Ubuiquiti products run hot so I’m not letting it bother me. It sitting under the eves of my roof in my pool area in Florida...in July. No issues after a feed weeks of 24/7 runtime. Picture quality is great. Mounting kits that come with it is very thought out and impressive.
