I have a g3 dome, a g3 pro, g4 bullet. The g3 pro is the most expensive camera we have. Its excellent. The g4 steps it up with a little faster connection but no zoom. But honestly you never use the zoom all that often - the cameras pointing the wrong way - somethings wrong. Zoom isnt that useful. This little G3flex. Is as good at the g3 dome. Its even better. The build quality feels like a nice new iPhone when you pick it up - I envisioned the g3flex to be plastic and junky feel. No. Its awesome. You want this.get it.

Put this under an eve in the elements, its seen hard rain, ice, snow and hot weather, works great lasts long time. I was going to take one for the team and put this thing in a harsh environment and if it dies, it dies. Still alive, still works.

I went with this brand because its used at my work and Ive had consistent quality with the recordings. Im using an older laptop, which is no longer being used on the regular, that Ive installed Debian on just run the free NVR software without a bunch of system bloat (its also the OS that is used on their products). I will say that this was a challenge to setup but if you want it easy, then stick with Windows. I have it set up as: UniFi Video G3 Flex camera > UniFi PoE injector > Netgear AC750 Extender (Bridge Mode) > WiFi on laptop: and Ive had no issues with recording quality. The vertical adjustment is not as smooth as their other models - it clicks into different angles when you press firmly on the black areas above and below the lens - however its perfect for keeping and eye on my porch. Overall, not a bad camera that suits my needs.

I ordered a pair of theses right as they came out and they are great little cameras for the price with a few glaring shortcomings. The picture quality is very nice and Id put it on par with other generation 3 (G3) cameras, specifically the micro. The IR lights are very strong and do a decent job of lighting up the immediate area around the camera. The IR filter is mechanical as well meaning the picture in daylight is a crisp as it can be with no discoloration. They claim the camera is outdoor capable and while I do have one of my cameras mounted outside I am skeptical of its resilience. I have my unit under a deck, watching my basement door, so it is partially sheltered from the weather. I also have it oriented as shown in the product photo. Mounting it upside down, which also gives the greatest range of vertical moment for the lens, makes me nervous. There is no gasket around the point of entry for the Ethernet line on the unit. Meaning water could follow the bend of the cable and run right into the jack on the camera if turned upside down. Further the mount does not lock into place as firmly as Id hope. Leading to fears that it may work itself loose over time. This goes for all included mounts (flush, pole, and outdoor) in the package. With all that said Im very happy with the units, and while I wont be replacing my standard G3 cameras anytime soon these are a great addition for areas that dont need the discreteness (or wireless connection) of a G3 micro, and where the standard G3 may be overkill. The different finishes available also help the camera blend in to its surrounds, and all told it is a very unassuming device that could be easily overlooked sitting on a shelf or in a corner. If you have a sheltered area outside you need monitored, or just want to keep an eye on an interior space without the need to worry about wireless signal strength, these area great choice.

Great, flexible little camera with excellent night vision. I use both AMPLIFI and UNIFI systems from UBNT. This camera added an affordable option that fits where other cameras won’t.

Just like all Ubiquity products I like this new addition to their growing product lines. It is simple to setup and manage (if you are familiar with ubnt). My kit included a assortment of mounting options and its small enough to be used in various applications. I installed this one at a entry gate to see who enters and leaves a residents. Video is clear and stored on a ubnt nvr.

Great product and great app. I am an IT guy. It takes some advanced knowledge to set these up. They are not as intuitive as some, but worth the trouble.

As most say, this is not full on weather proof, but good for outdoor overhangs. Great if you can get POE indoors.
