I already had unifi video running on a local server with a g3 bullet camera. While I like the software, it is worth noting that it has been discontinued by the manufacturer in favor of the cloud version. I cannot speak to how well the cloud software works, but the original software works very well for me. I believe with the cloud version you need to buy additional hardware to connect the cameras. The price is not bad for this camera, and it has a good daytime and acceptable night image. I would say that the older g3 bullet is superior, but also costs more. If I did not already have a working system I would probably have looked at other options... the g4 versions are also available with more advanced motion detection, but I do not have experience with those.

This product was dropped by Ubiquiti in early 2021 and they discontinued support for Ubiquiti video so this product cannot be connected to without Ubiquiti NVR system and subscription to Ubiquiti protect software. The standalone setup will not work, you cannot access ubiquiti video app anymore, ubiquiti device discovery finds the device but does not allow you to log in since the support has ceased.

Slowly building out my network with Ubiquiti gear, and decided to try out one of these new cameras to keep an eye on things at home. Great quality, very responsive. You dont need to buy the NVR or Cloud Key Gen2 to use this product, a dedicated - somewhat modern computer can be used instead. I downloaded the Unfi Video NVR software straight from their website and have it running on a Win10 desktop that is always on. Can access from the internet/app if you choose to connect to their cloud services (at no cost). Would be nice if it had motorized pan/tilt but not a deal breaker, as you can manually adjust the lens and swivel the camera to get the angle needed. The image is very wide as it is, so that helps. Overall, for the price and if you already have a computer you leave on anyway - this is much more cost effective and even better quality than most cameras in this price range.

Works great

The camera was easy to install. The image is great for the price. But the best part of this camera is how well it records sound. The ability and clarity of recording sound puts this camera above my other camera surveillance system. Will be replacing my other system with these cameras.

I only have one of these cameras so far but its working great. I bought the recessed mount so only the lens section of the camera is visible. I can still fully spin and angle the lens and night vision isnt effected. In regards to motion detection, I really with there was some AI built-in to allow for person/animal/object detection to help eliminate false positives. This really applies more to the UniFi Protect controller than to the camera itself, but it is worth noting because I suspect most people will use the camera with UniFi Protect. The software is constantly seeing updates so Im hopefully that these features will be added soon.

I have 4 of these now, all directed to my AWS server. Took some configuration work, but it works great. The app lets me see things very clearly, even at night - good resolution. The only issue I have is the spider that keeps coming back setting off the motion sensor with the moving spider webs.

I was expected to have a little bit better picture quality. The camera it is very good and easy to install. It is working very good dooring the day. A little bit hard to identify in low light the face. Probably better with flood lights.

Delivers more than expected. Setup was easy. Well thought out product in all aspects from packaging to function. Works well with ZoneMinder and VLC. Mic is very sensitive.

Good price, great picture quality. The software has to be fine tuned to make the motion detection have less false triggers. Overall good product!
