> 3 dayThis product was dropped by Ubiquiti in early 2021 and they discontinued support for Ubiquiti video so this product cannot be connected to without Ubiquiti NVR system and subscription to Ubiquiti protect software. The standalone setup will not work, you cannot access ubiquiti video app anymore, ubiquiti device discovery finds the device but does not allow you to log in since the support has ceased.

> 3 dayDied after less than 3 months, took out my POE switch with it, or so i thought. Turns out that the camera itself is dead, and when plugged into the switch will instantly kill power to everything else on the switch. Like Ubiquiti products on the whole, but this one is a dud and returning it is going to be problematic. I have another of these cameras connected to the same switch and its still working fine - its at least 6 months older than this one.

> 3 dayFor those serious about home surveillance & savvy enough to setup their own NVR server, this is by far the best option on the market right now. Night vision IR is fantastic. Extremely easy to setup on-site or off-site. They look extremely professional and sleek and intimidating to unwanted visitors. Reliable NVR software, too. Buy them or the more expensive UniFi products. Theres really no reason to go with anything else. 10/10.

> 3 dayWhile I understand the appeal of nest or ring for the average consumer - but why wouldn’t you spend a little more (total cost) and get a professional level system, with hard Ethernet to each camera? The UniFi system both WiFi and video have been great for our home, and they are pro grade, no silly usb cables or batteries. They easily record to the cloud or to a local system. This camera specifically is pretty impressive and I plan on buying more of them to cover some spots in my yard...

> 3 dayAutomatically recognized by and connected to a Cloud Key Gen2+. Default image quality is 720p but can be changed to 1080p in the settings. Night vision and motion detection seem fine and well integrated with the software. Gets a bit warm but not too surprising for a POE device.
