> 24 hourWorks great so far, I have it connected to an HDML Cloner box (with a 15ft usb 3.0 cable) and it works great back and forth to my pc (Linux and Windows 10 dual boot), Tested both a 128GB flash drive and a 1TB Western Digital Ext. HD (Worked great on either). The only thing I noticed when switching back to a different device than another PC is the Flash drive or Ext HD need to be unplugged and re-plugged back in to gain connection after selecting for those devices. This isnt a deal breaker for me.

> 24 hourI am downgrading my 5-star review to 3 stars. The switch routinely drops its signal for a split second. Its not long enough to impact typing or moving the mouse cursor around, but it is enough to make many tasks frustrating. Anything that requires holding a key down is affected, but most noticeable is click-and-hold with the mouse. For example, dragging a window around or highlighting text. Its also a major pain trying to do photo editing. Sometimes it causes a single click to be read as a double click. And on Zoom meetings, where holding the spacebar temporarily unmutes, I have noticed the Un-muted icon flickering on and off while Im physically holding the spacebar down. When I bypass the switch and connect directly to my hub, the issues go away. I use the same monitor for both my desktop and laptop. It has an integrated 4-port USB hub, and I just wanted a simple way to swap the connected devices between workstations. This accomplishes that with minimal clutter. The blue LEDs indicating which side is active are thankfully discrete. Even in a darkened room they are not a distraction or eyesore. This switch has a function which makes the last device turned on the active device. So if I am using my desktop, and I open the lid to my laptop, it will switch over to the laptop even though the desktop is still running. I find this to be an odd design choice. But since I typically am only using one workstation at a time, its fine.

> 24 hourI mean this could be a two word review. You need a 2 port USB switch? Buy this. It works. Here is how Im using it: I recently got an iMac and had originally hoped to use it in Target Monitor Mode but I missed the part where Apple stopped supporting that in 2014. No big deal, I have a monitor for my Win10/Hacintosh but I wanted to use just one mouse and Keyboard for both. I use a KVM at work so I am very used to using multiple systems and multiple screens. So I started looking fo solutions and asking around. Mouse: First purchase was a Logitech Triathlon. Besides being a really nice mouse, it can connect to up to three computers. There is a side switch that lets you switch between the computers. I have the USB dongle plugged into the Win10/Hacintosh because it lacks Bluetooth. It connected to the iMac using bluetooth automatically, no action by me. Switching is easy and as long as you are logged in, you can do a lot with just the mouse. As an example, I often use the Win10 system as a YouTube player. I dont need to type anything. Keyboard: For the Keyboard I got a UGreen USB Sharing Switch. This is a simple one in, two out switch. I ran my Red Dragon K580 in and sent it out using the supplied USB cables. The box is about the size of a pack of playing cars, flat black with a tiny, not very bright (in a good way) blue LED that moves to indicate one of the two cables. Its simple and it just works. Very nice. So now I have both systems sharing a Keyboard and Mouse and each driving their own monitor. Its a setup I like a lot and while it would have been nice to send everything to the iMac screen, I would lose the ability to have YouTube running in one system completely independent of the other like I can now. Total cost was $55 - $33 for the mouse and $14 for the switch. You would be hard pressed to find a good KVM for $55 and you would still need a mouse. Additionally by splitting the functions like I did I can switch just the mouse or just the keyboard if I choose. Downside of course is that switching is two presses not one but I can live with it. If you need/want to share a keyboard and mouse between two systems, I recommend this setup.

> 24 hourWe tried a switch before to allow two computers to use one printer, but it did not work. After one or our printers died, we decided to try a switch again. This one works simply. We put one button to switch between computers right before we print. Works like a charm.

> 24 hourIt eliminates the plug/unplug hassle of sharing one printer with two computers. The unit is passive and requires no additional power connections. Just plug in the two USB Type B connections from each computer and one additional USB Type A from the unit to USB Type B on the printer... DONE. The unit will automatically select the most recently attached computer, but will need to be switched back manually if the other computer is still running. This is as simple as pressing a button on the top of the unit. A blue indicator light shows which computer is connected and can be switched back and forth with the button. The switch ships with two 5 ft. USB Type A to Type B cables. If you already have one cable hooking up your printer, you wont need any additional ones, depending upon the distances between your components.

> 24 hourI am impressed. This switch does not require power at all and gets its powers with the USB connected with it. The only thing is that if you plan on connecting multiple items with it. You need a USB hub to be connected to the output area in order for it to recognize more than one USB peripherals. Its also really small. Perfect for desks. Its shockingly simple to setup. Just connect the two/ or 4 USB cables provided and connect to the output area a USB hub and your done. Just start both computers and thats it. After that your system is set. Con: none so far.

> 24 hourI bought this to use one keyboard (wireless) with two PCs. Both are windows based. A laptop and Desktop. I used Velcro to wrap this item to the base of my monitor. I love it as I can switch between my laptop and desktop easily. Never had a problem. I use it everyday and often switch. I recommend this product. I didnt purchase the version with a monitor because I still view the monitor for one computer while using the other.
