Havent tried this in super windy conditions, but seems like a well made umbrella. Folds up nicely so easy to store and take or leave in your car. I really dont care for the sun (or heat) much anymore, and dont like to have it beating down on me so very happy with purchase. Thanks!

Its very short while folded up -- about 10 3/4 inches. But rather round at about 3 1/2 inches. Stubby Compact... but it will take up some room for those hoping to put it in their bag or purse. I keep mine in a water bottle sleeve on my LowePro photography belt and use it regularly in Big Cypress preserve in South Florida. If ever there was a test of the sun blocking ability of an umbrella, its in Big Cypress in the summer months. This one performs great and is tough enough to be pushed through thick growth from time to time.

I bought this for my trip to Guyana, a very hot and breezy tropical country. I take it with me everywhere i go, and I do feel that its protected me well from the sun and heat. I have been disappointed that it continues to flip if the wind catches it, but still it hasnt broken because of this. I have a friend who owns one of the same brand and in the same country and she says hers has never flipped. And I must say its better than regular umbrellas Ive used here. Overall very grateful to have it.

THis umbrella is so well made that its difficult to close after using it; the joints are so tight. I also have to hold down one edge during windy days so it wont turn inside out. I bought a valcro strip to wrap around the closed umbrella so I could carry it in my bag; the valcro strip attached to the umbrella is too short. However, it does a very good job in protecting me from the sun. I use it during the hot , sunny afternoons while walking my dog.

I live in Dubai and walking my dog in the morning can be unbearable for the both of us during the summer. However, compared to the standard umbrella that I was using prior to this, I feel the difference. I no longer feel the heat penetrating through the top of the umbrella as I did before. And it feels somewhat cooler. Also good piece of mind that it protects against UVA & UVB rays... something standard umbrellas would not offer. Of course this is a lot more expensive but if you have the above concerns like I do, then you will be happy with this purchase. Well worth it!

Your umbrellas are a great product, made well. I only returned it due to circumference. I am looking for a size about a 30 to 32 inch circumference. I walk a lot in crowded places and dont want the umbrella poking other walkers. Wear a hat you say. My head sweats profusely when donning a hat. I need a small u v umbrella. Can not seem to find one which is a personal parasol size, built strongly, and is made for rain fabric.

I have to stand in direct sunlight for about an hour a day in Arizona. Ive tried using a regular rain umbrella to get away from direct sunlight but it just wasnt doing the job. I recently bought and tried the UV umbrella and what a difference! It definitely cuts the intensity of the sunlight and creates shade. Standing in the sun, at 105 degrees plus, there is a world of difference between the UV umbrella and a rain umbrella. It takes a little effort to fold it enough to put back in its sleeve but Im not using it for travel.

While a great idea, it’s very large and heavy, and does not easily bundle up. After using it a few times, the hinges of the spokes have started to poke through the fabric.

Love it! I took it to an outdoor Raspberry Festival and used it the whole time I was there and I stayed cool. Ended up going back the second day and forgot to take my unbrella and I got really hot had to leave fast. I also love the fact that it has auto up and down since I was going in and out of small areas so I would use that feature all the time. Thank you for such a wonderful compact product.
