> 3 dayI had one too many heat strokes and heat exhaustion episodes when I worked the southern border, and again after I was transferred to Florida. My time in the sun has now been decreased to about ten minutes before I end up in the hospital. This umbrella allows me to get in and out of a grocery store, mall or other building without getting sick or risking my life. My friends have been coming around to borrow it when they are heading for an outside event or an outing with their kids or grandkids at a neighborhood park or an amusement park with visiting friends or relatives. It really does lower the temperature about ten degrees, makes your time outside much more comfortable, and, in my case, much safer. I now keep this compact umbrella in my purse and a larger one in my car. I do recommend this product to friends and family and would definitely purchase it again!

> 3 dayThis umbrella does exactly what I wanted it to do. It keeps the sun off me and keeps me cooler. It’s a lifesaver for outdoor sporting events in the sun. I wanted this travel size for ease of carrying. It is a little on the heavy side, but so worth it!

> 3 dayI am so glad I bought this umbrella for myself. I walk at work 2-3 times a day and its quite sunny out. We havent had very hot weather yet this season, but Im confident that when we do, Ill still be able to get my steps in because of this umbrella. I love it. Its sturdy and keeps the sun off of my entire upper body. I have not been overheated once since using this umbrella. I highly recommend it if you walk everyday.

> 3 dayBought this for my wife who needs to stay out of the sun. She has worn Salumbra sun protection shirts in the past and they have worked well except when the heat really kicks off. This umbrella provides good UV protection as well as lowering the temperature under it so she is able to spend more time outdoors with me. She loves it and that makes me smile.

> 3 dayI live in Dubai and walking my dog in the morning can be unbearable for the both of us during the summer. However, compared to the standard umbrella that I was using prior to this, I feel the difference. I no longer feel the heat penetrating through the top of the umbrella as I did before. And it feels somewhat cooler. Also good piece of mind that it protects against UVA & UVB rays... something standard umbrellas would not offer. Of course this is a lot more expensive but if you have the above concerns like I do, then you will be happy with this purchase. Well worth it!

> 3 dayI guess someone liked my first one of these so much that they stole it. So I bought another. It is just what I want. It folds up pretty small and opens easily. I live in a place where skin cancer is a real danger so I use this a lot. I recommend it!

> 3 dayI have very fair skin and live in Hawaii so I normally not only wear sunscreen every day but also carry around a compact umbrella - useful for both sun and rain. I finally decided to splurge though and get myself something with real UV protection and Ive been very happy with this product. The double layer and UV coating make the umbrella slightly heavier and bulkier than your average compact but the shade you get out of it is well worth the extra effort. It is several degrees cooler in its shade, not to mention that Im in no danger of getting sunburned. The vents also do a pretty good job allowing you to hold the umbrella steady even when its a little gusty although there are limits, of course.

> 3 dayThis umbrella is very well made. It was well worth the price. I push a button to open & close it. When it was 95 degrees here, walking on sidewalk was miserable & I decided to try this. I wasnt sure about carrying an umbrella in the sun. But its this silver gray reflective color & high quality, so if anyone looks at me, they actually want one. Prior to this purchase, Id bought a cheaper one & could literally not close the thing. I highly recommend & I purchased this product, wasnt a gift.

> 3 dayHello, My review of this Umbrella is after using it about five times in Florida weather, including very hot (about 3pm) sun/humidity, I mean VERY hot and on a moderate day with mild wind gusts. We walked about 1/4 mile each way testing out this umbrella. Both my daughter and I tested it and together we came up with our review. I hope this is helpful. I had also just purchased a $15.99 umbrella from Walgreens a few weeks prior so I will do some comparison with this one as well. 1. First impression of this umbrella was that for the price, it was small in circumference and felt (when holding) to be flimsy. My Walgreens umbrella felt about the same. I thought I had purchased a more sturdy, well built umbrella but IMO this is definitely not the case. 2. The mechanical aspect of this umbrella was not impressive either, in fact, the rods (for lack of better term) that hold the umbrella material were made of what felt like the typical cheap plastic from China. 3. The handle is quite small as you can see in the picture. Quite difficult to hold on to even in the slightest of wind. 4. VERY difficult to close. In fact, I had to press it against my stomach or a hard surface to get it closed. 5. Okay so about heat deflection....I honestly did not feel any difference underneath my Walgreens umbrella than I did this umbrella. Sure wish I had better news but for us anyway, this umbrella was a big disappointment and seems to be cheaply built or a least not built any better than the cheaper ones. See my pictures for more information Thank you for reading and I hope you have better luck than we did. I dont see a link to post photos but if you would like photos please contact me and I would be glad to send them to you.
