> 3 dayWhen it works, it’s great. I’ve had it for probably 6 months and half the time I have to touch the lock numerous times usually before it wakes and lets me enter the code. I’d also point out that whenever bringing it to higher altitudes you need to pop the cap under the lock to release the pressure so it can be opened. Aside from the touchpad issue it’s been solid.

> 3 dayIf you don’t own one Vaultek safe, you should. I needed something for a large frame firearm and this checked every box and more. You will never go wrong with any of their products. I own several.

> 3 dayI must say, I was some what of a skeptic when I first began to see advertisements about the life pod safe. I recently had the need for a versatile safe while taking an extended road trip for my valuables. Once I watched a few videos on the safe, I elected to try the 2.0, of course the Colin Noir edition. I was very surprised at the quality and functionality of this life pod. Very easy to get started and I immediately knew all my items were safe. “Heavy construction” The life pod is perfect for traveling and gives an added dimension to hotel safety. I would highly recommend this product if your in the market for a portable option.

> 3 dayFirst time gun buyer here and have a larger safe for all my valuables, but this fits the bill for a night stand and with easy access on a digital keypad this is perfect.

> 3 dayI wasn’t expecting Fort Knox. A portable plastic gun box is only going to be able to be so secure. But you wanted to be able to resist forced entry attempts at least for a few minutes. And while I suspect a crow bar would pop the lid up pretty quickly, there is no need because the hinge is exposed. Using either a hinge removal tool which are easily had or even a nail and something to hammer it with, you can pop the hinge out in seconds and open the box. I do like the way you can disable the easily pickable mechanical lock which is typically the Achilles’ heel of a safe of this type. In this case however, the heel is the hinge. This makes this nothing more than a waterproof box which you can buy for significantly less money.

> 3 dayI didnt stop with the safe. I bought the handle ($30) and the backpack ($100), around $300 total. Yes, the safe does fit in the backpack with the handle attached. Goto the product site to get possible better prices. Thick case, Light weight, Portable, Water resistant. I also bought the next one up (STi). For mounting some where. Not portable, not water resistant. I wanted biometric. Its also steal and comes with a personal quick open pocket push botton (or mounted within 25 ft of the safe). This one I topped out also, around $500. VTi safe, with extra high capacity rechargeable battery and the battery backup (magnetic, mounts to side of safe. The extras on the VTi is over kill.

Greater than one weekI’ve had this box since March and unfortunately my car got broken into yesterday. My pistol was in the car in this box with the tether attached to the car. The 5 individuals that broke into the car attempted to cut the cable, pulled the box against the cable, and also attempted to open the box. Much to their dismay they couldn’t get the box to open or the cable released so the gun was still in my car. Although the individuals were able to pry open the door to my car they still were unable to get into the box. Contacted the company wanting to get a new cable because in the cutting they cut off parts of the plastic coating and the company is sending me another box just to make sure my current one wasn’t compromised. Incredible product and incredible customer service.
