> 3 dayI have a 300sqft studio and it gets stagnant. So I needed room circulation for general, coolness at night, and appropriate noise levels for both. Levels 1&2 are good for air circulation with VERY low noise level so I can keep it going and not have to yell to talk to someone. At 3 it does kinda start making sound but still pretty good. 4 or high blows well and produces enough background noise to drown out a lot most sounds at night as I sleep. Very happy with this purchase!

> 3 dayWe have an older home that still uses window AC units. The front room, our family room, is South-facing. The windows dont accommodate AC units, and there isnt electric in the ceiling for a ceiling fan. So its the hottest room in the house and has no natural air movement. To get cool air in the room, weve been using a fan to push air from the adjoining dining room; which does have an AC unit. Weve used a Honeywell Turboforce and a Lasko tower fan. Truth be told, they didnt move a lot of air and consequently didnt make much of a difference. The Vornado 660 is a true night and day difference from the other fans! It moves far more air, and the Vornado air circulator design truly works. We have the fan pointed in direction where no one sits, and you can still feel indirect air movement anywhere in the room. So the room IS cooler, and it FEELS cooler due to air movement. This might be the first summer Ill actually be comfortable in our family room. As a bonus, the Vornado is quieter on its 3 of 4 setting than the others were at 2 of 3 and 3 of 3 settings. (This is coming from someone who is very noise sensitive, btw.) I may not even have to use the Vornados highest speed. But it still wouldnt be louder than the others at full blast, and the air movement literally blows the others away. (See what I did there?) Lastly, I was little worried about size because the 660 is the largest model of the series. I ordered it anyway because I was thinking about noise and figured Id rather have a bigger fan working on a lower speed to keep the noise down. As Ive mention, noise isnt an issue. Turns out, the size isnt either. Its really not obtrusive at all; maybe 50% bigger than a basketball. In sum, Im really happy with this fan. Trust me: spend a little more and get something that really works, the Vornado.

> 3 dayI finally found the one.! I have gone through so many fans that I ended up giving away because the noise drove me crazy. This one is pricey, I know, but it is awesome! I sleep with it next to me on low, it is powerful, but most of all it is so quiet. I’m so glad I bought this. I keep the plastic bag it came with over it when not in use to avoid dust. So far so good

> 3 dayI live in a small one bedroom in NYC with a very overactive radiator, so my bedroom can get very hot at night. This thing set in the corner and angled up toward the ceiling in the direction of my bed is so cooling. For the size it’s so powerful. Really pleased with it though it is louder than I’d prefer. Like a loud wind sound, not necessarily a mechanical sound. If you like white noise it might even be pleasant. I like white noise but think it’s still a touch too loud and wear earplugs to dull the sound a bit (and generally city sounds, the radiator, etc) to a volume that I do like. Overall I’d recommend it.

> 3 dayAfter just a month of light use, the fan already clicks and rattles.

Greater than one weekVery powerful fan. The air is very cool so its the next best thing to having an air conditioner. It seems a little pricey compared to other fans but you will definitely get what you pay for.

> 3 dayThis is better than my older Vornados, and thats saying something. This little guy is heavy, has a great real metal handle and moves air like crazy! Nice smooth sound and doesnt seem like its working too hard either. Im very pleasantly surprised to find that quality has actually improved on something!
