Wii Play with Wii Remote

> 24 hourWhile I certainly would not have shelled out $50 for wii play without the remote, for the $10 above the cost of a wiimote, this game is a great novelty and really demonstrates the innovative nature of the wii and gets me excited for for the future. This arrived today at work from Amazon - and I played it on my 1 hour lunch break at home - which was ample time to try each game and go round too on the shooting. I do think overall it is fun and stands on its own. The key to the game is to have enough miis made. Finding my sister, wife, and mom in find mii was pretty funny. Watching them dance around the title screen is pretty amusing as well. Here are my quick thoughts on each game: 1. Shooting - Short - but lots of fun. Definitely repeatable. 2. Find Mii - actually pretty clever - you start finding people yielding a flashlight in a dark room after a few rounds. Definitely better if you have created some miis. 3. Ping Pong - not much fun in my opinion - a little overly simplistic 4. Air Hockey - Actually kind of fun - strong nostalgia factor a la atari pong 5. Bubble Burst - I does hurt your wrist a bit, but very different from any game I have ever played - looking forward to 2 player here 6. Billiards - Probably the most challenging - I think it will have a longer lifespan than the others 7. Cow Riding - By far the zaniest, the controls are really unique and engaging 8. Tank - Lots of Atari Nostalgia. Could definitely see myself playing this one more 9. Fishing - pretty lame - If you have Zelda: Twilight princess - you will see what fishing on the Wii should really be like!

> 24 hourWe got this game really for the extra remote (since the game is only $10 more than just buying the remote). We have 5 & 6 year old girls who can easily manipulate through 5 of the 9 games. Their favorites are the cow race and find the miis. Its a great entry level game set if you are trying to learn coordination with the wii.

> 24 hourI just got a Nintendo Wii that came with Wii Sports and needed another remote so I got this bundled product. I did some research before buying it and I found that in Japan it is actually called Introduction to Wii in Japan ([...], scroll down to the part where the interview is asking why they used the word training for Links Crossbow) so I knew exactly the quality of the game I was getting. This, I think, made it more fun because I wasnt expecting some wondrous game. I take it for what its worth and its a bunch of little games to show you how to use the remote. Thats it plain and simple. Most are pretty fun too!

> 24 hourI just got my Nintendo Wii Play game with bonus remote in the mail. I was looking for an extra remote and thought I got a great deal when I found this one with a game for such a great price. When I got it today I was a little disappointed right away when I opened it up and the box looked like it was stepped on and kicked across the room... The outer packaging was fine so I assume the box was in that condition before it was sent via USPS. When I opened it up I noticed a big scratch on the front of the Wii remote and it even looks like there is some dirt or something between the remote and the rubber cover. The game is still wrapped and brand new. Despite the not so brand new condition of the remote, I still think I got a pretty decent deal... although it may be a little harder to give as a gift now, as I planned. Good thing it is only going to my 6 and 9 year old.

> 24 hourI was fortunate to find this item on sale here for the same price as the Wii Remote. So it was a great value for me since I needed another controller. The games are not great however they meant to make you more familiar to handling the Wii Remote. Bottomline - If you need another remote and this package is on sale for the same price as the remote, buy it. Otherwise dont spend the extra $10.00.

> 24 hourThe Wii Play games are difficult if you are not a typical younger gamer used to the controls. We played the Ping Pong with a 22 yr old and got killed. We are all 60+. We all laughed and applauded our skill and lack of, so the product is a success. The price with the control included was a real deal, and delivery was very quick indeed. I recommend the seller and the product.

> 24 hourOver all a good set of games. The only knock I have is the lack of directions. It took calling a friend to find out I had to play all the games once before I could pick the game I wanted to play. While playing pool it can be difficult to get the hang of how to move the cue stick. Its easy to point the controller away from the screen as you draw the cue back and then nothing happens. Over all Id say this is a buy.

> 24 hourI bought this because it was the same price as just purchasing a Wiimote. I figured we were bound to get one good game out of it. I was right! For the most part, these games are quite good. There are 8 games, including: a variation on Duck Hunt (from the original NES system), Pool, Table Tennis (which was somewhat difficult to get used to and not very impressive), a tank/shooting game (not too impressed by this one either), a cow racing game (hilarious!), two different matching/dexterity games, and a fishing game (which we have yet to figure out). All of the games allow you to use the full functionality of the Wiimote (and sometimes the nunchuk). Its totally worth it. Even if you only end up liking one of the games, its the same price as just getting the controller. Go for it!

> 24 hourFriends said that wed want more Wii remotes -- and by buying this game, wed get some decent games along with the free remote that comes in the package. Overall, its a great deal -- and adds to your collection of Wii games. (The Wii comes with Wii sports; and this package gives you Wii play). Good deal overall! The Wii Play games arent quite as fun as the classics on Wii Sports -- but younger children DO love Wii play.
