Cute games, always need extra remotes. Wouldnt say I was overly attached to any games like they were amazing but they were cute and something to occupy time and attention for a while.

We bought this because it came with the remote and its actually a pretty good game! I would recommend it to others, but purely because we only ended up paying $10 more than the remote to get the game as well. Im not sure if its worth much more than that, but I think wii knew this when they created the game as well :) Anyways, I would get this game with the remote to see the variety of things that the wii can do and to play duckhunt :)

After playing Wii Sports I needed to see what the hype was about with Wii Play. I purchased it and I was pleased that it came with an extra controller. I feel like Wii Play is geared towards a younger audience, especially with the fishing and bubble games. Its a great product, but I found myself becoming bored quickly with it. I play Wii Sports way more than Wii Play.

I bought this since I needed another Remote, and figured Id get a game along with it for 10$ essentially. I expected Play to be an extension of Sports, and for $10, you get what you pay for. The shooting game is fun, as is Pool, the Rodeo game, and Fishing, but this is definitely a very short, limited (2 player only) multiplayer game.

If you need another remote, you may as well just pay a few extra bucks for this bundle. The games are OK, there are a few worth playing even after you have mastered them. You can always trade the game in at GameStop or some other place for more credit than the game costs, so we bought 3 to get up to 4 controllers, got $7 each for 2 of the games (+ a $10 bonus) and ended up with 3 controllers, the Wii Play game and a game we really liked. Hard to go wrong when it costs just a few dollars more than the remote itself. Sometimes you can even get it with free super saver shipping, which I dont see offered much for the remote alone...

Friends said that wed want more Wii remotes -- and by buying this game, wed get some decent games along with the free remote that comes in the package. Overall, its a great deal -- and adds to your collection of Wii games. (The Wii comes with Wii sports; and this package gives you Wii play). Good deal overall! The Wii Play games arent quite as fun as the classics on Wii Sports -- but younger children DO love Wii play.

If you Wii remote skills are lacking, this is the set of games for you. This set of games will walk you through all of the controlling basics for the Wii remote. I highly recommend getting this game. Its actually better for adults that are just getting their first console system, it gives them recognizable games to learn on and at the same time improve their Wii skills. Well worth the money and extra controller!

Bought this just for one reason - Wii Remote. Remote alone costs 39.99 and this item is 44.99 in amazon. So, $5 for the game (Wii play CD). The game is not good. May be for kids. For adults, it dont make no sense to buy. I would have rather bought Wii Remote + Motionplus bundle for the same price because Wii play (the CD that comes in this bundle) is sitting in the shelf from day 2 since I bought! So, people who need a Wii remote, please do yourself a favor and buy the Black Wii remote with Motion plus bundle (Motion plus sells $18 by itself) instead of buying Wii remote with Wii play bundle. Both these bundles cost the same in amazon. With Motionplus, u can play tennis, golf and other games with more realism and more fun...

If youve played Wii Sports and are expecting Wii Play to be more of the same fun, think again. Wii Plays games are much less involved, and while there are 9 games overall, there arent any hidden games or fun features that made Wii Sports so enjoyable, just mindless medals you can collect as you pursue high scores (Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum). While Wii Sports was a game in which you could unlock features as you progressed, the only thing you unlock in Wii Play are the 9 games, and youre forced to do this unlocking process when you begin. Instead of being able to play all the games, you start with one, have to play it, then you can play the next one, until you end up in the ninth and final game. What is really annoying about this is that your score during the first run does not count toward the medals you get, so dont worry about doing well in any game until you have them all unlocked. Also, once you get a gold medal, you have to play again to even have a chance to get a platinum medal. Every time you get a medal your Wii gives you a hint about the game. However, if you get a Silver or Gold medal before you get a Bronze for example, then you lose out on a tip. Very poor design if you ask me. Of the nine games, I found Shooting Range, Charge!, Tanks!, Billiards, and Fishing rather fun, but Find Mii, Table Tennis, Pose Mii and Laser Hockey are not that great. Five decent side-games for $10 isnt too bad though. The Enjoyable 01. Billiards -- There is a bit of a learning curve here and its awkward because there doesnt seem to be any penalty for sinking the wrong balls, but with time youll love it. Just find some music to play because this game has a terrible soundtrack. 02. Tanks -- While Tanks! is by far the most complex game on the disc, it is also annoying to have to start from scratch all the time. Nice freeform play though and there is no time limit for single player mode. Pretty addictive. 03. Charge! -- While there is only one course, riding a weird looking cow is pretty cool. Unlike the other games, you decide where you are going the whole time, and the freeform design, despite the time limit, is a lot of fun. 04. Shooting Range -- This game will make you want a Wii Gun, lots of fun but limited playback. Just fun to shoot targets with Wiimote. 05. Fishing -- Very limited hungry hungry hippo like game, casting can be awkward due to the fish running out of room to swim, but an interesting game. The graphics are odd though. The Boring 06. Find Mii -- There are some interesting scenes, but very easy to get bored. Great for puzzle seekers and memory building though. For the odd Miis out, just look for something like Miis looking the wrong way at tennis. 07. Pose Mii -- Once again, great for the puzzle-loving crowd, but not my style of fun. 08. Table Tennis -- All you do is move the remote back and forth like pong, no swing, no skill involved except twitch gaming. Much better for the Wiimote actually than Laser Hockey since you move left and right rather than up and down the whole time, but still rather boring after awhile. I mean, if you have Wii Sports, Tennis is just so much better than Table Tennis. 09. Laser Hockey -- Worthless to play in single player, youll end up watching the CPU score goals for you because the puck ends up weirdly getting past the paddle too easy and it becomes impossible to save. Youll do the same back sometimes for the CPU. Better in multiplayer but the game dynamics just suck. Its hard to play a game with the Wiimote when you are controlling the left or right side of the screen and the game would have probably been more fun to use with traditional controller rather than a Wiimote.

This product is a bargain-priced game ($10) bundled with a not-so-bargain-priced WiiMote ($30). It is an excellent novelty for adults AND children, but the fun wears off after a few weeks of play. I gave this product a 4-star fun rating because though some of the games bombed, some of them are truly fun to play. The WiiMote that comes with the game worked fine for me, and came with batteries and a clear protective cover (unlike my first WiiMote.) Sometimes the connection with the game is a little patchy, but not very often. Now, for the 9 minigame overviews... SHOOTING RANGE- 7/10 Quick and fast-paced. The goal is to shoot ducks, targets, balloons, and UFOs. It becomes a little repetitive, with the targets going in nearly the same order every time, but other than that its a lot of fun. Slow players be wary! FIND MII- 5/10 A little slow, but still all right. The goal is to find the Miis with certain characteristics- look-alikes, sleepyheads, fastest Mii, etc. The modes of play are all pretty much the same, but the settings are varied. Its especially fun to play with someone else, but you need sharp eyes to win! POSE MII- 2/10 Boring and slightly confusing at first. The goal is to pose your Mii and insert it in little bubbles before they pop. The bubbles go faster and faster until youre eventually beaten, so theres no real winning on single player. I didnt really get this game. PING PONG- 6/10 Fast-paced, but can be confusing at times. The goal is to keep returning each others serves, but its much different from real Ping-Pong. In this you simply block the ball from flying off the table- no swinging serves, spinning, etc. Still, its interesting enough and has good replay value. LASER HOCKEY- 6/10 COOL sums it up pretty well. The laser effects are a great touch, and this game is a lot of fun with another person. Sometimes the puck is slow, however, and its frustrating when it gets stuck in the corners or right outside the goal. Quite realistic, though! CHARGE!- 7/10 Hilarious at first, but the fun does wear off after running on the same track every time. At first the concept of riding a cow, collecting scarecrows, and leaping over hurdles is enough to make you want to play over and over again, but once you get used to it the funs gone. PLAY WITH ANOTHER PLAYER! FISHING- 4/10 A little odd. The goal is to catch the fish that they want you to catch, but for players who havent mastered their Wii controls properly, its confusing and difficult. Its really nothing like fishing, because all of the fish fight to bite the hook. The graphics are interesting, though! BILLIARDS- 8/10 For pool/billiards fanatics (or even dabblers) this game is a dream come true. Its realistic and has fairy simple conrtrols. The only problem is that the mode of play (9-ball pool) cannot be changed. Good for people who are beginners or novices, too! TANKS- 9/10 HILARIOUS and a TON of fun! I personally like this game the best. You steer your little toy tank around a battlefield of bricks, shooting and bombing enemy tanks (the goal is to blow them up.) You get lives on single player, but on multiplayer (where you work as a team) you dont. The Nunchuk can be used if you are really intent on winning, but for casual gamers the D-pad should suffice. Overall, I think this game has something for everyone! Adults will like Billiards for sure, and kids will enjoy Charge!. If youre thinking about purchasing a new WiiMote, I suggest you get this bundle (its not really worth it alone.)
