> 24 hourI love how I can control this from my app while at work! I leave my tiny dog home alone super early when it’s still dark, and I was sick of paying to leave my lights on all day. This works great so I can shut it off after a little while I’m at work. Alexa works great with it at home too!

> 24 hourI have now bought a scale and several plugs made by Wyze. They are seriously the most solid/reliable/easy to use connected products. I’m thinking about switching my entire house over to Wyze products. They have earned my trust.

> 24 hourI purchased one pack of 2, one was installed within minutes and the other did not work. I contacted customer service, they troubleshooted with me and after confirming that they could not get it to work, the company sent me a replacement without any hassle. The plugs work fine, this is my first smart plug so I have nothing to compare to. The app is user friendly, I use the plugs for my growlights and I can set a schedule, and turn it on/ remotely which was exactly what I need it for. Ive been using it for a few months now, no problems with the devices

> 24 hourEDIT: Gave it one last shot before returning it, rebooted and powered on, deleted my component in Wyze phone app and redone the setup there, connected to my 2.4Ghz instead of 5Ghz and VIOLA! - communication/working with Alexa and features working. So, Ill chalk it up to user error this time and change my review to a positive. Setup can be a bit tricky if you are unsure but overall, you will get it going. ..... I could not get Alexa to turn this plug on and off. Drops out my network and I have a clear line of site from it to the router. I reset it up and did everything again and still nothing, now Alexa doesnt even see it anymore. Setup is just iffy. Cannot even download the app to your PC. Disappointed.

> 24 hourMy living room has two lamps for its primary lighting since it is not wired to any overheads. I was tired of always shuffling to each side of the couch and cranking each one to turn the lights on before sitting down. Most people have a switch wired to overhead lighting but I am unfortunately not one of those people. My solution to this first world inconvenience was to purchase these plugs in conjunction with a Google home mini for controlling both lamps. The plugs work flawlessly for my needs and I havent had any connectivity issues since setting this system up. My google home is a bit slow for voice recognition but as soon as the signal goes through, the plugs switch on power simultaneously and shed glorious light on my little room. Very pleased with my purchase!

> 24 hourI could not update firmware and once the device was listed on the Wyze app it didnt work. Even after adding to the google home app it didnt do anything. The device did show in the wyze app (without an ip address) and did show on google home but neither app would control anything. I did find the issue and it was my wifi security setup. Solution: Thought Id let you know that if you use access control on your router like I do that you have to add the device to the network first then restart the device before trying to pair. Problem: I allowed the device (2 of them) on my network when I got to the network signin step on the Wyze app add a device and it never added the ip address to the wyze app (so no firmware update) though the device did show on my network. Hopefully this will help anyone else who uses access control on their wifi router.

> 24 hourIve been using Wyze home automation products for a couple of years now. I wanted to keep all the devices within the same product brand and Wyze is reasonably good quality with reasonable prices. A couple of weeks ago, one of my Wyze plugs failed, so I ordered 4 new ones and of the 4 only 1 was able to successfully update the firmware. When the firmware update fails, the plug doesnt work. Ive tried every plug at least 10 times, tried reconfiguring my network, contacted support. Nothing worked. Theyre obviously just defective. Apparently Wyze has some defective product on the market right now and until they fix it, I strongly recommend against purchasing Wyze. In addition, Wyze needs a few products added to their product line. In particular, they need a double wall light switch and wall light switches that dont require a neutral wire. It would also be nice if they would make a bulb camera.

> 24 hourIn app troubleshooter was literally no help, but Wyze support helped me get them working again. Would be better to just include the troubleshooting instructions than to send to a broken chatbot and then a link for support that doesn’t work and then go back and forth with a live agent. But they did help me get it working again.

> 24 hourWhen setting these up for the first time the app asks if you have the original or the 2021 version of these plugs. There is no way to distinguish between the two. After a few failed attempts at the original method, I tried the 2021 method and it worked immediately. This is a great improvement over the older plugs which were always a PITA to set up. My main criticism is they seem to be in such a hurry to release new products they skip details like identifying the version of the plugs I received. Minor problem but nonetheless shows a lack of focus on the customer. Finally, my last gripe is how they laid an egg regarding the door sensors. A crappy product, released with much fanfair to their loyal customers, which disappeared like a fart in the wind. Wyze, please slow down, pay attention to the details, and do it right the first time!
