Perfect so far. Already has save a freezer with 1/2 a side of beef. Door was left slightly open. Alerts on my phone went off late in the night. Saved!

I have several of these units monitoring high and low temperatures. They work well, even when cold; they alert me when the freezer gets too warm. Alexa integration is lacking, however; you can’t trigger events in Alexa when the limits are exceeded. The in-app alerts work, but aren’t as flexible.

Nice to be able to check it and get alerts in case power goes out so we don’t lose our frozen meat investment.

I have been using home automation products for several years but I never found a good solution to monitor fridge and freezer temps. We have 4 freezers and I have purchased one of the smart wireless temperature sensors for each. I have found these to be reliable and its great that you can set up alerts in the YoLink app to send a message to your mobile device as well as sound an alert on the hub when it goes out of range. It doesnt update continuously more like every couple minutes or degrees of change so it gives you time to put away groceries without driving you crazy but if you accidentally leave a door slightly open it notifies you quick enough that you cant drive too far away when leaving the house before you are notified.

My wife was complaining that the temperature measurement reported by alexa was off. So I moved the sensor to the thermostat to see the difference and the temperature did not change. So I checked yolink app only to see that all devices were reported offline. Two door sensor, three temperature sensors, two garage door sensors, a water spill sensor, and the hub. Well, must be the hub, I thought, so I rebooted it. The hub and one temperature sensor came back. All the rest are still not reporting... UPDATE: So all the devices slowly updated themselves with yolink hub. My fault was that I did not check in the app to be alarmed when yolink hub goes offline. Now it is ON. A bit disturbing that the hub can go bizzerk while I am away and I can do nothing because it requires hard reboot. Otherwise all these units work good and I am glad I bought them. I wish they had more features.

I like the compact size of the device. Its on the back deck right now, where the temperature is a cool 7.7 F. (at 8:40) and the YoLink says it was 1.4 F at 7:55 and that time difference makes it hard to know if the YoLink is correct. But, early this morning I did see it 0.2 F displayed on my phone, and the local weather station (down the street) recorded a low this morning of 0.6 F. So, I think its working pretty well. Before I put this outside on the deck, I noticed that changing from C to F or F to C, would instantly display the current temperature (on the LCD and the app). So, it can be forced to sample, display and send data to the app. The only negative I can see right now, is the slow sample rate that Im seeing when the sensor is outdoors. I can ask Alexa what is the temperature in the Prius and she says The Prius Temperature is 5.7 Degrees. But, I dont yet know how to create an Alexa routine that can trigger an action when the temperature is <= 5.0 F.. So, this sensor isnt very useful yet. Maybe I should see what IFTTT can do for me. ~~3/26/2023 I ordered a Yolink SpeakerHub. I can trigger a Yolink Routine when the temperature hits an alarm limit! I set the limit for 90F and put in a south facing window. When the sun comes bright, it gets up to 90F and commands my Yolink speaker to say (custom) Hey Google, turn on the Inverter. My Google Hub, controls Meross Outlet 120Vac switches. The switch named Inverter turns on, drives a relay that activates my 3000W Sine Wave inverter. The Alert Interval is set for 60 mins. (if the sun is still warm, we get a new Alert every hour). My Merross switch is set to run max run time of 65 mins. If it gets a restart every 60 mins, it keeps the inverter running until the sun is about to go down. My inverter is driven by a 48vdc battery bank, but when its charged, I can use the 800w solar panels to run some the loads in the basement. Freezer, Fios system, inhouse ethernet gear and a PlaneFinder tracking system. The main loads are the sump pumps. When the basement floods! Like we just had when all the snow melted. Both Alexa and Google speakers can work to control the solar inverter, Im using a Google speaker hub, because it was already installed near the Yolink Speaker Hub.

Easy wifi setup with hub. Add more in seconds. Very durable and accurate. I use these to monitor my freezers, fridge, and basement humidity. Will buy more as needed.

Ive got these temperature sensors scattered about. There are a couple places I worry about freezing in the winter, and its great to have a sensor in my greenhouse. The alarm went off the other day: it was 95 deg out and the temp in the greenhouse reached 105. Got a notification on my phone and went and opened a skylight. Nice to know I have those sensors watching over things! Also interesting to track humidity in my basement, particularly now that Ive added a dehumidifier. The whole system (hub, etc) works great -- really happy with it.

I put one of these in each of my freezers. Even the one out in the garage gets a good signal! It is peace of mind to know I will be notified if there is an issue with the temperature before it is too late.

Easier to set up than Samsung smartthings. Doesnt use wifi, instead LoRa which reduces load on router etc. Temp unit has been in our cryo freezer for months. Wanted to know how much i can reduce the fridge/freezer setting to stop paying for -15 freezer in a home kitchen. Signal can go through walls and the metal of a cooler or fridge.
