AC Infinity AIRCOM S8, Quiet Cooling Blower Fan System 17 Rear-Exhaust for Receivers, Amps, DVR, AV Cabinet Components

Recently hooked my ONKYO receiver and speakers to my computer. Great sound but it gets really hot. This product cools it down quite nicely and I am not afraid to leave it on for long periods of time.

I’ve had the unit for a few weeks. Watched two Netflix streaming movies and one Blu-ray disc at a volume of about -16 dB. At that volume the movies are rockin pretty hard. Unit is set on auto with a fan speed of 2 and sits on top of a Yamaha RXV685 in a 5.1.2 setup. After about 20 minutes the unit turns on and stays on throughout the movies. It is non-audible when running, exhausting out back. After movie end, about 2 hours, the heat of the receiver is barely noticeable and the S8 tuns off in about 10 minutes after turning off the receiver. Previous to the ARCOM S8, the receiver pumped out pretty noticeable heat while playing a blue ray disc. Got to say, I think the unit does its job. And I’m happy with the purchase.

After updating my receiver, which tends to run hot, I had considered laying a muffin fan on top to help keep it cool. My concern was that I would be recirculating hot air in the cabinet instead of exhausting it. The Aircom S8 is perfect. It exhausts out a rectangular opening at the back of my cabinet and the receiver is running much cooler. While the fans are a little noisy at full speed on manual settings, Ive never had them run faster than half on Auto which is barely audible. The unit is solid, well made and highly recommended.

I have an enclosed cabinet for my a/v receiver. When the cabinet was closed my receiver would overheat, had to keep cabinet open, not good with my grandchildren running around. With is unit I can keep cabinet closed and it very efficiently keeps receiver cool. Love the automatic function where it adjusts fan speed when needed. On low speeds very quiet, of course when at it highest speed you can hear it but not enough to distract from listening experience. Very well made. Wish I had purchased this sooner because my older receiver overheated and had to replace it. This keeps my newer cool.

Automatic, quiet, and good exhaust. Would like an attachment to direct exhaust out the back of cabinet. This is to force the warmer air outside rather than recirculate in the cabinet.

This is an excellent product! It fits very well into tight spaces and the low profile design is a great alternative to rack fans. I own 3 of these units. Also the delivery is fast and customer service is superb!

Im very happy with this product. The size fits perfectly. The range of options in terms of rear vs. top venting is excellent. The fan is quiet and the Smart fan feature is the right solution to balance noise vs. heat. The bonus feature is the ability to turn off the very bright fan speed light. Yes!

Installed this on top if my Denon arv in my small media cabinet. I have a temp sensor inside the cabinet as well(labeled kitchen as I never changed the name of the sensor) to monitor temp as to not overheat the components. The results were immediate. That morning I watched a few movies, delivery came on Sunday with the aircom S8. After installation and setup I snapshot what the sensor read, it is a wifi sensor that runs to my phone. The results were more than what I expected. I used the smart cool(or whatever they call it) feature out of the box and within an hour or so the temp leveled off to room temp, plus whatever heat the components give off in the cabinet. During movies the fans move from; off, 1,2,3,4 speed. Out of the box on smart cool it was running at 4. Moving some serious heat away from the Denon. As time went on it stabilized the temp and wandered between off, 1 and 2, cannot hear the thing run at 2 even with no doors on the cabinet. All said well worth the insurance. Definitely, I will buy again without hesitation.
