    This thing works great good solid fan . Now when I open my cabinet its not super hot like before. Also quiet except on full throttle but still not bad if you have stereo up. Good product

    AV receivers primarily fail because heat issues. So I bought this one. If you have an expensive receiver, this is a worthy investment. I have Marantz 6015 AV receiver for which I paid $2200 with tax. It sits well on top of it. Looks as if made for it. Auto cooling keeps the receiver cool all the time and increases air flow.

    I don’t know when it is on, which is good. I leave it on step two of power, turn off the optional spinning light, and place black electrical tape over the one LED. It is very, though not entirely, quiet. I have to get up to feel the air moving through the unit to the back of my open to the back cabinet, to make sure that it is on and working. Very satisfied so far.

    I habitually swap/change/switch stereo components, and as you know, covering up the top vents on any piece of equipment is never a good idea. The Aircom S8 fits my setup perfectly. I have it set to auto, which only runs the fan when needed and the fan can only be heard (faintly) after I shut everything down for the night. Keeps my Denon receiver nice and cool and acts as another shelf that I can put components on. Build quality is excellent and with all the component swapping, I have yet to scratch the top. Heat is the killer of electronics. This will help prolong the life of your devices.

    Bought this for my Onkyo reciever after noticing it getting very hot. I had read the reviews about noise level being excessive, on high that is true. I run it in auti and using my reciever for 7.1 surround at a comfortable volume level the fans have only run at low speeds and there is no noticeable sound coming from the unit. Very happy with coming effectiveness and price of this unit.
