> 3 dayI have several problems with this window support bracket, first of which is that it came with ineffective hardware. It doesnt have enough washers for all of the pieces, and half of the nuts that came with the package use plastic stoppers which cause them to cap off at a certain point on the bolt when threaded on. This means they cant be tightened down all of the way and would require at least twice as many washers as the kit came with to make the join on these bolts secure in any sense. Second although the kit claims to fit most windows, at the smallest setting for the brackets, the legs still dont have a tight enough hold on my window ledge and are just too heavy for a second story window. They dangle and pull the entire bracket down. Not to mention, the weld for the main support ledge is crooked which means getting the center support in between the main two arms was nearly impossible and tilts the entire ledge at an angle when joined. This causes the screws for the legs to come loose with time. I will be returning this product as soon as possible.

> 3 dayI needed to install a window air conditioner bcz no central air. I have used window units in the past but the install was always a pain and less than sturdy and secure. This bracket hardware is the ticket. The bracket hardware is strong and well made and enables you to adapt and install a window unit easily and with no worries. See my photos for the installation that I had to accomplish. I have installed window units over the years and it was always a hassle trying to shim and brace the unit. I am glad that I bought this heavier duty bracket.

> 3 dayI needed a drill-less bracket for my AC and chose this item. Although you dont need to drill the bracket into your outside wall you still need a handful of tools to assemble the bracket itself properly. The instructional video has a lot of unnecessary steps which will require you, as shown in the video, to make constant adjustments to the bracket. For an instructional/installation video there is way too much trial and error. The first step of the video asks you to measure the distance from the outside wall to your window frame and by the end completely ignores that measurement as they adjust the bracket based only on it being level. The measurement and initial placements of the support legs they ask you to do are completely unnecessary. The video itself readjusts the support legs 3 times in order to install the bracket correctly. If you purchase this item I would ignore the video and only adjust the bracket so its level to your window frame. Constantly readjusting the legs is a pain especially as you have to go back and forth with tightening/loosening screws with pliers.

> 3 dayI bought this because it claimed to be easy to install. It was worth the very high price to me because of the alleged ease of installation. It wasnt that easy. This was made worse by the fact that some of the included hardware (screws, nuts, bolts, washers) was either missing or the incorrect size. This was a huge frustration. I managed to jerry rig the thing together despite the missing parts, but for the exorbitant price they are charging, I shouldnt have had to. Also, they dont include any extra screws, nuts, bolts or washers. I dropped one of the screws that did work in the grass, and had to spend 15 minutes crawling around looking for it because the company is too cheap to throw in an extra screw, nut and bolt of each type, which costs them only a few cents each. Once I cobbled it together, the final result looks nice, seems generally very sturdy (unless it fails at the location of the missing screws or too loose nuts), and as promised, did not require drilling. It fits in the window brilliantly, and the design is extremely clever and looks nice. Bottom line, they really need to review their quality control so customers get the correct number and type of hardware bits. They also need to include one extra of each hardware item in case of droppage, damage or defect.

> 3 dayWe installed this on our RV to hold a window unit. It worked great, and even survived a direct hit from hurricane Ian at a category 4, it held strong with the unit in place. Hated spending $75 for it, but wow, cant complain now.

> 3 daySince the written instructions for the two-arm, heavy duty version (drilling required) of this bracket are almost impossible to follow, a good installation video is needed, but there are a lot of problems in Alpines installation video. Mainly, the sections showing how to install the connector bar are pretty screwed up - it shows the long hex bar being inserted at different locations. Also, in the section for the final installation (at 2:52 of the video), the connector bar magically disappears altogether. More detailed comments, with many of the flaws in the video, can be found at the YouTube version of this video (the two arm, heavy duty, drilling required version). Alpine did a really sloppy job with this video.

> 3 dayThe thing you got to know before puchasing is what ac you get and try picture how its going to sit on this unit its completely flat. Make sure your ac is also flat on the bottom, wise your going to need to add with this like wood or something like that. Mine wasnt obviously.
