> 3 dayI don’t often write reviews. And I normally think people are just being dramatic when they say something was hard to put together because most things are pretty easy. But holy cow, the written instructions for this thing are rotten. I even looked up the YouTube video the company puts out - also not great. The hand putting things together in the video is in the way in many shots. On top of that, the screws and nuts go into such awkward places that it was next to impossible to get some of them as tight as you’d like. It works fine now that it’s put together, but I’d never buy it again or recommend it to anyone.

Greater than one weekI have several problems with this window support bracket, first of which is that it came with ineffective hardware. It doesnt have enough washers for all of the pieces, and half of the nuts that came with the package use plastic stoppers which cause them to cap off at a certain point on the bolt when threaded on. This means they cant be tightened down all of the way and would require at least twice as many washers as the kit came with to make the join on these bolts secure in any sense. Second although the kit claims to fit most windows, at the smallest setting for the brackets, the legs still dont have a tight enough hold on my window ledge and are just too heavy for a second story window. They dangle and pull the entire bracket down. Not to mention, the weld for the main support ledge is crooked which means getting the center support in between the main two arms was nearly impossible and tilts the entire ledge at an angle when joined. This causes the screws for the legs to come loose with time. I will be returning this product as soon as possible.

> 3 dayNo quality control, came VERY bent. Also came very next day in less than 12 hours.. I don’t have prime but had free shipping (5-7 business days), this was clearly a used return that was in a warehouse right near me.. in other words a return that was damaged and not checked for quality before reshipping. Got replacement one in about a week, it wasn’t damaged but was NOT top notch quality, had to make pieces fit (didn’t fit easily) and not completely symmetric.. not good especially for being EIGHTY DOLLARS. Also a huge pain to put together, with terrible, terrible instructions. The video instruction link was even worthless. Not good business to overcharge just because not any competition for drill-less version, especially for sub-par product.

> 3 dayIve got two of these. Im not unhappy with them overall, but they are quite difficult to set up. The feet have some trouble connecting with any exterior wall that has siding (which is pretty much every wall). The only way I can get the feet to connect with the wall is if the feet are positioned very inward, but then stability is horrible. Thats the main reason for the 3-star review. They work, but they take some fiddling and you for sure have to screw them into the windowsill directly. They come with spacers to help line up the screwed surface with the window frame so your A/C doesnt sit tilted inward. The provided screws will work for one install, they strip on the heads very easily, but they are a standard size so your local hardware store will have replacements for next year. Also, word from the stupid, careful not to pinch your fingers in this as it does fold completely and with zero resistance so it can collapse (when not mounted) and pinch your fingers easily. Its also very heavy and so the pinch has a real bite to it.

> 3 dayI needed a drill-less bracket for my AC and chose this item. Although you dont need to drill the bracket into your outside wall you still need a handful of tools to assemble the bracket itself properly. The instructional video has a lot of unnecessary steps which will require you, as shown in the video, to make constant adjustments to the bracket. For an instructional/installation video there is way too much trial and error. The first step of the video asks you to measure the distance from the outside wall to your window frame and by the end completely ignores that measurement as they adjust the bracket based only on it being level. The measurement and initial placements of the support legs they ask you to do are completely unnecessary. The video itself readjusts the support legs 3 times in order to install the bracket correctly. If you purchase this item I would ignore the video and only adjust the bracket so its level to your window frame. Constantly readjusting the legs is a pain especially as you have to go back and forth with tightening/loosening screws with pliers.

20-11-2024I used this bracket instead of the bracket that came with my new window air conditioner because it was installed in a metal building with metal casement around the window. I needed a bracket that was no drill as you cant drill into the metal window sill. We had to attach a piece of wood to the outer support that sits against the building. Once that was done the install was very easy. Highly recommend this product if you cant drill into a window well, such as with my metal building.

> 3 dayI purchased three of these brackets for use with window ACs ranging from 5000 to 12000 BTU. The bracket does take some time to assemble, then partially disassemble and reassemble once you discover that the legs arent attached to the frame exactly where they need to be to prevent the bracket from sloping toward or too far away from the house. I also noticed that each bracket, even with all bolts securely tightened, seems to lean slightly to one side. causing the AC on it to lean slightly to one side or the other. This is resolved easily enough by inserting a shim or two between the bracket and the bottom of the ACF on whichever side of the bracket is slumping. Note also that there is a gap of a couple of inches between the bottom of the bracket and the window frame that youll have to fill in or seal with something if you dont want horrific energy loss plus bugs, rodents, small birds, etc. joining you on the inside of the house. I think thats just how this style bracket works, though; as the windows in my house are installed flush with the exterior wall, and theres no exterior sill to which I can attach anything, Im moving forward with this item.
