> 3 dayThis support may not fit every window as soon as you put it together. In my case, I took the rubber feet off, and used hurricane anchors to hold them right where they need to be. That way I can remove it when I dont need it, and when I do need it, it is easy to install. The top section did not have enough height, so i mounted a 1/2 length of a commercial grade cutting board, that was cut to lay on the window sill. I bolted it all together so it was all one piece. When the 10,000 BTU window unit came, I laid it on the bracket, and it worked perfectly. I also had to make a foam piece that went around the bottom of the window to fill the gaps. I used hot glue to hold it together as I cut up the open cell foam to fit the open areas. I never wait for a hurricane to prepare for it. When something does not go as you like during a hurricane, fix it asap, dont wait for the next hurricane and realized that you never did it. I did not need this with a 3000 btu window unit, but 10,000 btu is a lot bigger and heavier, so his bracket had to work.

> 3 dayNo quality control, came VERY bent. Also came very next day in less than 12 hours.. I don’t have prime but had free shipping (5-7 business days), this was clearly a used return that was in a warehouse right near me.. in other words a return that was damaged and not checked for quality before reshipping. Got replacement one in about a week, it wasn’t damaged but was NOT top notch quality, had to make pieces fit (didn’t fit easily) and not completely symmetric.. not good especially for being EIGHTY DOLLARS. Also a huge pain to put together, with terrible, terrible instructions. The video instruction link was even worthless. Not good business to overcharge just because not any competition for drill-less version, especially for sub-par product.

> 3 dayWas able to setup in 30 minutes, Placed parts on a flat service and laid out as if assembled, then followed the instructions. The Leg supports took the most time in the setup, primarily to determine where they should be located. Do think more pictures should be included in instructions reflecting a step by step pictorial, especially for the leg supports.

> 3 dayBought 2 of these products to support 2 - 10K Frigidaire Window A/Cs. They are constructed quite well and are very strong. Each of my A/C units weigh approx 115 lbs. Once setup correctly, these supports not only fit nearly perfect n my windows, but also support the units quite easily! While the feet set against the vinyl siding and proper 5-8 deg (for water drainage) is noticeable. You may have a few gaps to fill, but that can be accomplished quite easily. I use 1/2 Styrofoam Pipe wrap and cut to fit. No complaints and the units have been running without incident for a month.

Greater than one weekI would first like to say that my review is not base on the product itself but the inability to be able to use the product. I live in Canada and this was the perfect solution to installing my new 10,000 BTU A/C unit. I happley purchased the bracket and was excited to receive it after watching the video on how it was installed. Once I received the bracket, I started to look at the bracket and figure out how to install this in my 2 pain sliding window. I was having problems because based on the video, MY assumption was it went on the far inside lip of my window ledge but my friend who is a carpenter said that after watching the video that it goes between the 2 windows. That would make sense given where the bracket needs to sit. I miss judged based on video so I was unable to use the bracket (and the new A/C) for its intended purpose. Im not saying its a bad product but the video was perhaps miss leading. My suggestion is update the video and do a walk through in the video on how to PROPERLY install the bracket. Again, possibly because of the double windows and the gap being too small to install the bracket is the problem its difficult to rate the product itself. I suspect it IS a great product. Just not for my situation.

> 3 dayInstructions/Video needs to be redone. I struggled to get the nuts on in the cramped space in the order the video gave until I changed the order in which I put things together. It tells you to put the arms then take it apart again THEN measure then redo all of the steps. So it was very frustrating to struggle to put it together only to have to take it apart. Other than that it works great!

> 3 dayExactly what I wanted. I didnt want to drill holes in the siding but needed a window unit for my garage. It holds a 12000btu unit very well. It is capable of holding even a larger unit. Most importantly NO HOLES!

> 3 dayI recommend the double support bracket design over the single one as this will hold the AC unit securely. There were a few quirks about the installation. The bubble level indicator doesnt snap in place, it will just fall out. You would need to glue it in or something if you needed it. The instructions show you want to screw the cross brace with the long hex bolt behind the short phillips bolt. When you do this, the support leg binds with the phillips bolt when it collapses. I flipped the positioning of the long hex bolt and short phillips bolt, you get a support leg that can swing freely while still having the cross bar attached at two points. I use this bracket to support a window unit in my roof top tent, and it works perfectly.

> 3 dayIf your air conditioner has a bar or feet on the bottom, or the bottom of your unit isnt completely flat, this bracket will not work with your air conditioner. Alpine Hardware was very responsive with their support so I cannot complain about that.

> 3 dayIf youre going to have a window AC unit, you probably need a bracket. This one seems very sturdy for its size, and is doing the trick in holding up my AC. Its not as easy to install as a simple 1-2-3 and there it is. It requires a drill and some technical expertise. Also, in order to fit snugly against the outside wall, you may need further bracing with wood wedges or similar (the shape of my exterior wall required two nearly 3 blocks to achieve level). Read the instructions through before starting installation. You dont want to get stuck halfway through the job with nothing in the open window! I had help from my dad, who thankfully knew better than to start hanging the bracket without taking measurements and cutting the necessary wood wedges (not included!). The integral levels in the arms are really useful to make sure that your AC unit tilts very slightly to the outside and drains away from the window. Once screwed in place, I assume that the bracket will be staying permanently, although Ill put the AC in storage come winter.
