Amazon Kindle US (Type A, United States) Power Adapter [Fits Kindle and Kindle DX]

I had misplaced my Kindle charger, so ordered a new one. Of course, as soon as I ordered it, I found the original, but its nice to have a second one, just in case.

The product is OK,but for a client living in Brasil,the cost of freight +the duties make it very expensive.

The charger that comes with the Kindle Fire is lame at best. Poor quality and construction, no detachable USB cord, and cannot be used as a USB cable to connect/charge with a PC. This cable charger combo is a much better product. I guess theyre trying to save on costs offering the device at $199, and I can understand that. I personally prefer this white combination of the USB cable and detachable charger. Works much better for me.

I already had the USB cord that came with my Kindle so basically just wanted the power adapter for an outlet and sadly.. that didnt work so now I have 2 usb cords..lol Figured it wasnt worth the postage sendign it back etc etc. great buy and now i have 2 cords..LOL shrugs

This wall/usb replacement cable is just what it says. I misplaced the one that came with my Kindle-it was do I spend hours looking for it-or replace mine for under $20 and free shipping via Amazon Prime. Time is money so that is what I did, When I find my original cable, I will put it in my carry-on so it is set to go and I will have my new one in a drawer where I can find it easily.

Purchased this Amazon Kindle Replacement Power Adapter in Apr 2010; in 3 months (late July) the cord insulation at both ends began to crumble. I taped over the ends to slow the deterioration. Now in September the crumbling of the insulation is migrating toward the middle of the cord. This cable (being a spare) has not had particularly hard use. The original power cord of the Kindle 2 is holding up without fault. Have others had this problem?

Charging cable. After using this cable to recharge my battery no more than four times the connector on the Kindle end came apart. The bottom half of the casing just dropped off. I didnt notice until trying to charge that it was missing and was lost. I had to buy a new one. You promised to refund the purchase price but you have not. I received this Kindle for Christmas last and it is not yet a year old. Id sugest you demand your supplier use a better method of connecting the two sides of the plug housing. You are liable to shock someone with a failed connector. I would appreciate the refund of $26.97. Billing was Aug. 11-12. Ray Routh

I have two of these. One came with my Kindle and one I ordered as a spare. The white plastic sheathing has turned brittle and is falling off. This makes both cables completely unusable. One is about 30 months old. The other is about 38 months old.

my original charger was so cheaply made that the plastic covering crumbled away from the wire. Since I did not report it ( A lesson there) for 13 months I had to buy a new one to replace the original substandard one.

I burned out the one that came with my kindle in europe..had no way to continue charging my kindle, so i was very happy to get the replacement and it was just as good as the original. I was told it would arrive in a few days, and it was here the next afternoon.. sandi
