Amazon Kindle US (Type A, United States) Power Adapter [Fits Kindle and Kindle DX]

Because I have an older Kindle, I was concerned about finding a replacement. This works perfectly and Im happy to have a recharger that can also connect and recharge my kindle from my computer as well as a wall socket. (I can use that when overseas)

Purchased this Amazon Kindle Replacement Power Adapter in Apr 2010; in 3 months (late July) the cord insulation at both ends began to crumble. I taped over the ends to slow the deterioration. Now in September the crumbling of the insulation is migrating toward the middle of the cord. This cable (being a spare) has not had particularly hard use. The original power cord of the Kindle 2 is holding up without fault. Have others had this problem?

My husbands original cord had the plastic coating around the wires flake off. Not sure what happened there. He needed a replacement so we went to Amazon to order. Your service was very fast and accurate. Kudos for a job well done!

Not much to say. Its an adapter!! We have no complaints on any item that we have ordered from Amazon.

I ordered this because my original cord that came with my kindle suddenly didnt work anymore. This was a great deal. It was shipped out very quickly, even before my kindle died completely! And now I dont have any problem charging my kindle. Thanks so much.

My original charger for my Kindle just stopped charging one day. Being an avid reader I was super freaked out thinking at first there was something wrong with my Kindle but then quickly realized it was just the charger...Whew!!! Nothing much to review here as it is a simple Kindle charger just like the original charger you recieve with you Kindle device. Shipping was fast, but being that I use my Kindle daily, remember avid reader :-) I paid extra for expedited shipping so I cant review normal shipping timeframe. It does its job and would recommend if you need to replace you charger or simply want a extra charger. I am now a happy, happy, happy Kindle reader again with a fully charged Kindle. Yay!!!

After about a year and a half of using my old power adapter, the insulation near the Kindle connector became brittle and flacked off exposing the shielding. I ordered this replacement as I am a heavy user of my Kindle. I see no difference in this and the original so am certainly satisfied.

Just as good as the original that came with the Kindle. Cost is reasonable.Unit comes with plug so it can be used as a straight USB cable as well as a charger.

The only way this would charge is if I hold it pushed in - poor electrical connection. This was a replacement for original cord which crumbled. Dont buy used!!

Its unfortunate that 13 months after purchasing my Kindle, Im forced to buy a replacement charge cord. The original cord crumbled in my hands two days ago, leaving all the wires exposed! I hope this episode does not augur what I can expect with the Kindle.
