it works beautifully finally able to use my kindle again- saved my life during hurricane Sandy by letting me read while we had no tv

Had to replace the charge cable for the Kindle I bought my mother way too soon. Purchased Kindle in June, had to replace cable in September. The connector wouldnt stay connected and charging unless it was in one particular position and you wiggled it just right. The replacement came quickly and works fine (so far).

Purchased this Amazon Kindle Replacement Power Adapter in Apr 2010; in 3 months (late July) the cord insulation at both ends began to crumble. I taped over the ends to slow the deterioration. Now in September the crumbling of the insulation is migrating toward the middle of the cord. This cable (being a spare) has not had particularly hard use. The original power cord of the Kindle 2 is holding up without fault. Have others had this problem?

While it was not the original kindle charger from Amazon the charger works perfectly with my kindle. I am quite happy with this purchase.

You can not beat the price. The adapter is fantastic because it gives you the choice to plug into a wall or into a computer. I received the item much quicker than I expected. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

I have two of these. One came with my Kindle and one I ordered as a spare. The white plastic sheathing has turned brittle and is falling off. This makes both cables completely unusable. One is about 30 months old. The other is about 38 months old.

The only way this would charge is if I hold it pushed in - poor electrical connection. This was a replacement for original cord which crumbled. Dont buy used!!

Yep, Its a live wire for you ! it works for all my Kindles ,my whole collection gets charged with this and even my cell phone . Hushlizard

Very satisfied. Our dog had chewed up our first Kindle charger cord and we ordered a replacement. Ordering was easy, the package came quickly and was just what we ordered. Cant think of anything to improve it, except maybe to lower the price of the charger a bit. Thanks.
