> 3 dayTheres no good reason why such adapters are proprietary. They should be universal. What a waste of money (mine), energy (for shipping the product), and resources (the material to make precisely this unique thing). I shudder to think about the cost to our planet in terms of waste. Come up with a universal adapter, share the specs openly, let the market compete, and put this kind of thing in my pocket for $1 or less. And let me own one or a small number for all the devices my busy family uses.

> 3 dayPower adapter did not last very long before needing replacing. However, could be that it was used on overseas electrical current for several months priorto returning to USA. Suggest making better recommendations for overseas users.

> 3 dayI misplaced my powercord to my Kindle and was facing not having it for several weeks. I ordered online and received it the NEXT day! I am very impressed with the quick delivery and Amazons ability to keep feeding my addiction to the amazing Kindle.

15-04-2025my original charger was so cheaply made that the plastic covering crumbled away from the wire. Since I did not report it ( A lesson there) for 13 months I had to buy a new one to replace the original substandard one.

Greater than one weekI love my Kindle. Nevertheless, I was very diappointed that I had to replace the adapter after such a short time. The adapter cable that came with the Kindle fell appart. Not just at one end but the entire length of the wire covering. I had not used it in any way that would cause this disintergration. The power adaptor was on my desk top, not in the sun, or exposed to chemicals or water. I hope that the replacement (which looks just the same) will last longer than the original. Thankfully, the replacement was easy to purchase, not very expensive, and came very quickly. Again, I love my Kindle and carry it with me everywhere.

> 3 dayTook a gamble & bought it for my Kindle Fire because it was $10 cheaper than the crappy Fire power adapter. Is also a USB adapter too. It works for Fire too!

> 3 dayCharging cable. After using this cable to recharge my battery no more than four times the connector on the Kindle end came apart. The bottom half of the casing just dropped off. I didnt notice until trying to charge that it was missing and was lost. I had to buy a new one. You promised to refund the purchase price but you have not. I received this Kindle for Christmas last and it is not yet a year old. Id sugest you demand your supplier use a better method of connecting the two sides of the plug housing. You are liable to shock someone with a failed connector. I would appreciate the refund of $26.97. Billing was Aug. 11-12. Ray Routh

> 3 dayWhen the K2 and DX came out, I bought both of them, one for home and the other for travel. Within a very short period of time, both of my cords white insulation started cracking. I have been very careful with these cords; but they still cracked. Luckily customer service replaced them both at no charge. Hopefully, these new cords will last longer.

> 3 daySince this is the only product available to replace the one I lost it is perfect. It was designed for the Kindle and so it solves the problem of having lost the plug end when I hurriedly left a hotel and unplugged it quickly the plug end and the USB end separated and I left the plug end in the wall and did not notice until I got home. So I suggest one is careful when unplugging the cord from the wall.
