> 3 dayEven though this was purchased as a used device, when it arrived, it looked brand new, and my wife was delighted that she no longer had to plug her Kindle into her computer to charge.

> 3 dayI had traveled from our home in New York to our second home in Arizona with my Kindle in hand --- but not my power adapter!!! Needless to say, I forgot to pack my power adapter and the Kindle needed to be recharged. We looked at several stores - Radio Shack, Staples, Walmart, with no success. Then we decided to try Amazon.com and it was delivered promptly to our Arizona address. What a relief it was for both my husband and I to read the books we had downloaded on the Kindle. Now we have an adapter in both places, and wont have to worry about this issue in the future.

> 3 dayBecause I have an older Kindle, I was concerned about finding a replacement. This works perfectly and Im happy to have a recharger that can also connect and recharge my kindle from my computer as well as a wall socket. (I can use that when overseas)

> 3 dayThe power cord is nice, however I just bought the Kindle in Dec, and had to replace it 6 months later. For such an expensive item the cord should last longer.

> 3 dayIm surprised to find that the outer insulation jacket of this cable has begun to disintegrate. If it is bent it cracks. If I were to roll this around my hand so that looked like the product photo it would completely lose its outer layer. It has had very light usage, spending all its time connected to my pc ready to charge a kindle and has seen no abuse. Ive never had a cable do this before and I have many cables that are older than this one. Whoah, I didnt bother to read other reviews before writing this. After looking at the negative reviews its obvious that this is a widespread problem.

> 3 daySince this is the only product available to replace the one I lost it is perfect. It was designed for the Kindle and so it solves the problem of having lost the plug end when I hurriedly left a hotel and unplugged it quickly the plug end and the USB end separated and I left the plug end in the wall and did not notice until I got home. So I suggest one is careful when unplugging the cord from the wall.

> 3 dayHad to replace my wifes power adapter, after traveling, because some idiot made it in 2 parts. Only way to replace was to buy both parts. Not a very happy camper because of this design flaw!!!!! My wife likes the kindle, but feels we got ripped off with the design of the power adapter.
