> 24 hourmy original charger was so cheaply made that the plastic covering crumbled away from the wire. Since I did not report it ( A lesson there) for 13 months I had to buy a new one to replace the original substandard one.

> 24 hourThe item is a good solid power cord that allows for computer sharing as well as ppower source from outlet. The cord was lost in transit, probably due to issues in New York, but the seller immediately sent a new one when I contacted him. He was very quick to respond to the contact and even though the shipping delay was not his fault, he sent a new cord out immediately and reduced th shipping costs for both. I couldnt be more impressed with that effort! I would not hesitate to purchase anything from this seller at any time.

> 24 hourI had misplaced my Kindle charger, so ordered a new one. Of course, as soon as I ordered it, I found the original, but its nice to have a second one, just in case.

> 24 hourThe price of this is something you cant beat, and it works as well as the one that comes with your Kendle. I think it may be a bit longer than the one I originally got, but I dont have that one any more to tell (Lost it in a move). Its great, does what it needs, and charges your Kendle in no time.

> 24 hourAfter about a year and a half of using my old power adapter, the insulation near the Kindle connector became brittle and flacked off exposing the shielding. I ordered this replacement as I am a heavy user of my Kindle. I see no difference in this and the original so am certainly satisfied.

> 24 hourI love my Kindle and wouldnt use any other reader, however the USB cable with the 110 Volt adapter is below par in material. The coating on the cable is not the same as used on standard USB cables, for some reason they used a coating that is stiffer and in my case has started to crumble and fall off leaving the metal sheath bare at both ends. The cable is still usable but the poor quality of this part is unacceptable. I keep the cable in the neopreme case that I store the Kindle in so the cable is not exposed to sunlight or other hazards that might cause the plastic coating to fail. The replacement part that I bought is also made with the same poor quality sheathing, maybe by the time I have to buy another USB power cable they will switch to the sheathing used on standard USB cables, which I leave out and has lasted over eight years with no hint of failure of the cable coating.

> 24 hourThis is exactly what I needed and wanted without driving to a store. I had already been to one big box store which didnt carry replacement cords for Kindle. Shipment time was quick. Thanks!

> 24 hourThis wall/usb replacement cable is just what it says. I misplaced the one that came with my Kindle-it was do I spend hours looking for it-or replace mine for under $20 and free shipping via Amazon Prime. Time is money so that is what I did, When I find my original cable, I will put it in my carry-on so it is set to go and I will have my new one in a drawer where I can find it easily.

> 24 hourUPDATE: After reviewing other reviews, and after purchase, I contacted customer support online and requested a refund due to a defective product. Within 12 hours, I received a response indicating that they have provided a full refund on my purchase and 1 day shipping for my product. I will still receive it tomorrow. Excellent customer service and turnaround time. However, Amazon still needs to address the quality issues with the adapter product. ___________________________________________________________________ Original Review: After a few months of use, the charger became loose when plugged into the Kindle. I originally thought that maybe the Kindle opening for the charger was defective, or became defective over a period of time, causing the charger to not fit. As long as I wriggled the charger and set it very carefully after getting the yellow light, I could get a charge. After a time, using the charger plugged into the wall stopped working completely. I had to get a replacement Kindle, and thought that I would finally be able to charge successfully, based upon my original thought that the Kindle opening was defective. However, after receiving the replacement Kindle, the charging issue got worse. I realized then that the issue was the actual charger itself; not the Kindle. So, here I am, ordering a new charger. Therefore, the issue actually started a few months after the purchase of my Kindle; not a year after my purchase of the Kindle. I would like for Amazon to address this issue. It appears that there are many problems with the charger; not just the fact that the charger becomes loose and capricious in its charging ability. I do not want to have to buy a new charger every three months, because I live in Mexico, and only come to the states every now and again.
