amFilm Tempered Glass Screen Protector for Nintendo Switch 2017 (2-Pack)

I love this screen cover. It was easy to install, fits perfect and is a great glass cover. Perfect.

This was easy to put on the Nintendo Switch. My son says he gets fingerprintd on it, but they are easy to wipe off.

So my son cracked the digitizer on his switch. Wasnt too bad, figured Id get it fixed eventually. Then the dog knocked it out of his and onto the concrete at the base of our fireplace on the edge and it really cracked. So I started looking into getting it repaired. As I was looking, I realized I hadnt just put a film cover on it, it was one of these glass protectors. I pulled off the protector and sure enough, the digitizer didnt have any cracks. Im not sure if the digitizer would have cracked like the protector had it not been on, but Im glad I didnt have to find out. And since my son thought he had broken his Switch, hes been a lot more careful with it. I consider this a win the whole way around and would recommend these to anyone looking for a protector.

PRODUCT REVIEW: This is a super easy to install product and I highly recommend it. When I opened the package I was a little skeptical due to what I thought was already scratches on the screen protector. After close inspection there does seem to be plastic covering both sides. It comes with 2 wet wipes and 2 dry wipes, which I highly recommend using even if you think your switch screen is clean. It also comes with cleaning cloth, hard card to push air bubbles out, as well as placement stickers to help with the placement of the screen protector. Overall Im super happy with this product and woukd buy it again. MY INSTALL PROCEDURE: First off please make sure you are in a well lit area, that it is a clean area with low amounts of dust(if possible none at all), and that there is no fans or wind blowing in your direction. Wipe down switch screen with wet wipe, making sure to cover all corners. Then use dry wipe and completely dry off switch. Once completely dry, take screen protector and remove the plastic cover marked 1 on it. This will be the sticky side you put down against your screen. Make sure to touch only the edges, as if you touch the sticky part you will leave finger print behind. I start from one side to the other to help avoid air bubbles. I line it up from left to right with my switch and begin placing it down slowly. I gently push down on the screen protector as Im placing it to push out any air bubbles I may have. If I notice a air bubble I slowly lift back up a bit and then place back down. I had trouble with one air bubble in the end and I couldnt push it out. I ended up having to lift the corner with my finger nail and replace it to get it out. Be careful though, if you do this more then a couple times the sticky stuff will come off and the corner of your screen protector will no longer stick. I did this to my last screen protector and ended up replacing it for that exact reason.

I did a lot of research from reviews to forums. Everyone said dont do pdp or hori. However. amFilm had a lot of buzz and amazon reviews. I also bought Orzly (under rated on Amazon but in forums ppl said screen protectors were their thing). Messed up my first Orzly. Used amFilm next. Tabs made install really easy. So amFilm is protecting my Switch atm. Orzly doesnt have tabs for easy install but they had better cleaning/ prep kit. better microfiber cloth and alcohol wipe (amFilms wet & dry cloth didnt work that well). Used the wet then their microfiber to dry. Wet then the dry cloth left a fog. Microfiber cleared that up tho. Overall.. bubbles and stuff were easy to get rid of on amFilm. Tabs helped. almost edge to edge (orzly is edge to edge. which is why i kept messing up. no tabs and no room for error). I will buy amFilm again!!

Update: Just one day after this review, I was contacted by Eric to address my issues. He is sending me a replacement for the defective screen protector. Im confident it will work, just as the second of the original 2-pack worked. I added a 4th star to my review that goes entirely toward customer service. They stand by their product and go out of their way to address any issues. I cant really say anything negative about that. Just received this on Saturday and I was eager to get it onto my Switch. In terms of fit- its perfect for the Switch. I wasnt thrilled with installation though. Ive had my fair share of smart phones and tablets, all of which I protect with tempered glass screen protectors. So Im no stranger to putting these on. The first one (of the two-pack) did not go on well though. The top left hand corner, going down about midway along the left edge, just would not stick. No amount of smoothing it out with the provided cardboard edge would get it to stick. There was no dust on the screen. It was perfectly dry. It stuck to the other portions perfectly. But it absolutely would not stick there. The portion that wouldnt stick did not really impede my ability to view the screen, but I wont lie, it annoyed the heck out of me. And I was worried that it was going to get caught on something and pull right up. I finally just pulled it off and attempted to install the second one. This one went on without a hitch and is on there right now. It appears to work well and it is stuck tight. No air bubbles and no danger of pulling up. If this had been my experience on the first try, this would have been five stars. But I think there was something defective about the first one. Because of the fact that I lost half of the product due to defect and the frustration of trying to make it work, I could only give this three stars.

Got this for my son. He dropped his switch & the screen cover shattered into tons of pieces but it saved the screen on the switch. Definitely worth the purchase to not have to replace the screen itself.

Exactly as Described and received it early so thats a double whammy of awesome! installation: the instructions are simple and straightforward, albeit it can get nerve-wracking at times so take your time and be calm. and remember it comes with two sets of screens, if the first one gets messed up you can still try again. *pro tips* to make your installation less likely to have unwanted dust particles (this is going to sound weird by the way) install your screen in a steamy place like your bathroom. that will make it harder for dust particles to get in the way. once i was done installing the screen i let the switch sit unused for 9 hours, just to let the screen set. i had no bubbles once the screen was installed and none formed after i started playing on it either. Docking: switch fits in the dock perfectly with its new screen on. slides in and out like a breeze. with products like these patience is your greatest ally. once the installation is done all you have to do is let it set. dont try to straight up play on the switch immediately once you are done. bubbles will end up forming because of the heat the console will generate, especially if its in the dock. you have to give the adhesive time to bond. you can be patient enough to wait a few hours, right? Dust Removal stickers: i didnt really find a need to use these. they were nice to have in reserve but seem unnecessary

I have used this screen protect for a couple of years I am only pretty careful with my switch but it just fell off my bed and off first on the ground. I was terrified I had damaged the screen and then remember I had this screen protector on it. My switch screen is 100% free of cracks and scratches thank goodness. This screen protector did exactly what it was supposed to do. Keep my switch safe!

upper left corner wont stick, so I have an air bubble that I cant get rid of. followed the instructions to a T.
