It really does make printing quiet. Best $ spent on upgrades.

This board installed nice and easy in my Ender 3 and is impressively quiet. The bootloader made it super simple to flash a custom Marlin Firmware and Ive been up and printing for the last few weeks. The only downside Ive had with this board is the TMC2225s come with a trade-off -- No linear advance. When I originally purchased this board I was only about a week into 3D printing and was still learning, so I didnt know much about Linear Advance and its benefits. Now that I know, I wish I had chosen a board that would support this feature. Not a fault of the board per se, so Im still giving a 5 star review as its been great otherwise. Do some research on Linear Advance and if its something you want, this is not the board youre looking for. If you dont need Linear Advance, this is a great silent board with bootloader and reliable prints.

This thing is whisper quite, and mounted fairly well. The only issue was the micro SD card slot did not line up with the case and I had to modify the case to get it to allow an SD card to be inserted.

Amazingly quiet, no stepper noise at all, just the sound of the fans running.

I installed this for two reasons. 1) To update my ender 3s firmware and stop getting the fire hazard warning from octoprint 2) so my 3d printer wouldnt embarrass me on work calls with its serenading. The noise reduction is unbelievable, I have to check to make sure it started up or is still going. Install was easy with a yt video and flashing the firmware was too. Pleased with my purchase.

So quite. I always thought the noise came from the stepper moters but the noise comes from the main board. So if you have the 8 bit board switch to this and no more noise. It comes with an old marlin firmware which I got the newest from the creality website. Easy to upgrade once u find the correct download. Very happy with this purchase.

We had a bad board on one of our printers...the extruder only extruded at half speed despite checking vref, voltages, and esteps. Put a new board in and worked great. However, I cant BELIEVE how much quieter it is! Ended up buying another for a second printer that was having issues and had a 1.1.3 version. I have a feeling the 3rd printer isnt far behind as it will sound very noisy now compared to the two with new boards...

I had a 4.2.2 board that fried on me. I figured Id give this a try to see what the hype is about and holy cow. WHAT A DIFFERENCE. For starters I have an ender 3 not the pro not the v2 just the 189 dollar ender 3. This changes the game. You know that whiney robot noise the printer makes when it prints? Yeah, thats gone. like totally gone. like my wife wont kill me when I run this overnight gone. It also prints like a dream btw, as long as you tune your e steps you should be golden. Only thing is you do need to re flash to the latest version of marlin firmware but thats easy just check out youtube plenty of how to videos. I paired it with a screw on thermistor and new hot end, PID autotuned and were off to the races! Well worth the money.

UPDATE - it went into a boot loop the second time I put power to it. Seems like Ive waited weeks for this thing to work, with utter disappointment every time. They mean silent when they say it. I can hear the rollers on the extrusions over the motors, seriously. This is the one thing Ive gotten from Amazon lately that wasnt a complete disappointment.
