> 3 dayIf you wanna get a motherboard that prevents excess wining sound. The 4.2.7 is worth every penny. I vacationally had to sleep in the living room next to the 3-D printer when it runs and now after this purchase just and installing I can sleep peacefully with less noisy sounds. This silent board is wonderful if you have to print objects overnight.

13-04-2025I knew it was supposed to silence the motors, but I never expected it to work so well! There was a very drastic reduction in noise level. So glad I purchased it! Thanks CHEP!

13-04-2025The printer is super quiet now. I forget it’s printing at times. The noisiest part of the printer are the fans now.

> 3 dayThe install was somewhat involved, but mainly due to my ender 3 having its connections hot glued down. Once that was sorted though, it was plug and play for the most part. Can’t hear the motors at all now, the fans are now the “loudest” part. When I have my ac running at the same time, I can’t hear the printer at all. Only time I notice the noise now is if I’m focused on it. Print quality is really good too, so I don’t think there were any compromises there.

> 3 dayI purchased this as my Ender 3V2 had the layer shift issue associated with the 4.2.2 board. I simply swapped out the board and had the appropriate 4.2.7 firmware ready on an SD card. Inserted the SD card, powered on the printer, it flashed the new firmware and I was off printing.

> 3 dayIve done a couple of upgrades -- springs, bed leveler, several printed parts to organize wires, filament guides, etc. -- but this one has had the most value/$. I had a friend recommend this, as on phone calls he could hear the original machine running in the background. Its made a huge change in the sound level, note that it wont be completely silent because the power supply and other fans make noise. Take your time on installation (about an hour,) have plenty of work-space, and make sure to remove the old hot-glue that olds the old wiring connectors to the old board, also working slowly to move each wire one-at-a-time (many of them arent labeled.)

> 3 dayNot worth the hassle. First one died in a few weeks, did not power on, got a replacement. Then this replacement one died, voltage not set correctly on the x-axis motor. Could not get it to adjust to the proper voltage. Nothing but headaches. Go with another brand like SKR.

> 3 dayI was amazed how much less noise the ender 3 made after switching this board. Just do it, this should be a top 3 upgrade for anyone who just bought the ender 3 3d printer. install is pretty straight forward, no special tools needed besides a small flat head screw driver.

> 3 dayThis replaced the original mainboard that came with my Ender 3 Pro. This board is much quieter, and has a dedicated connection for a BLTouch was is nicer than needing to use the adapters.

Greater than one weekI love life again. I dont have to plan prints around my work calls (wfh, printer is in my office), and I can print at night without the computer singing to the world. The fans are now the loudest part of the printer and within a couple days they started to get on my nerves a little, which I find hilarious, and proof that the updated motor drivers work as they intended. They made some changes in the firmware, and I dont like how they moved some of the menu options around, but the board itself is great.
