Great for hobby or professional use. This is a high quality product. I used this to get my certifications and have soldered various projects with this unit. It works just as well as the $500 dollar units I have used.

Love this. Easy to set up. You Tube if you forget how to set it. I use it for making jewelry and love that you can set the temperature. If you are using for jewelry and glass, highly recommend investing in this. Less frustration and solder flows as it should. Comes with an assortment of tips.

I really like this unit. It is well built and heats up very quickly when first turned on. Temperature data is easy to read. I recommend this soldering station.

Game changer

This thing heats up FAST!!! Holds temp really well. Just exactly what you want in a soldering iron. I’d been eyeballing this station and had it in my cart for well over a year. Really glad I finally made the purchase. It really is top notch for guitar wiring.

My first real solder station. Dont know how (or why) I lived without it. I need to find more projects to do! Comes with various size tips that should work for most general tasks. Ill probably order more for more specialized work. The instructions are not complete, but if you register on the Hakko site you get the more in depth manual with information on advanced settings.
