Accurate and easy to use. Well built

I used this on and off for a few months then put it on the shelf. I used it again about 3 months later and even with the temp maxed out I could not get much heat. Takes about 30 sec to even melt a tiny bit of solder. So I put it back and used a backup iron. Just tried it now (9 months later) and it still wont heat... Seems like a great unit but it broke with minimal use and no known drops or spills.

This is an OK iron for large parts but anything 0603 or fine pitch like 0.2mm I would not recommend. The finer tips dont transfer the heat to the ends. We went through different solders and different ends hoping for the best but ended up having to get a metcal.

Light burned out after a few months. Led supposed to last long.
