Great unit, heats fast and works fantastic. Purchased other tips for some small work and it excels ! Great results, good build quality and an upgrade from my old Weller. Definitely recommend

The iron is comfortable and appears durable. Only ad it for two weeks but enjoy using it; its a quality tool. That said, setting temperature is a little tricky. Add to that, complete instructions are not included- once you figure out something is missing you can go online and download a complete owners manual; which should have been included in the first place. It is a quality tool and would purchase other Hakko products.

All around a truly outstanding soldering station for a very reasonable cost. High quality construction top to bottom.

looks a little toyish but is an excellent soldering station. I like all of the features very well and especially the fact that the holder is separate from the soldering controls. It cost a little more but well worth it.

Top of the line soldering station.

The control that you can get with this is amazing. I always had trouble with electronics before with my uncontrolled heat soldering iron melting everything. Now, I hook up the components, and they all work right off the bat.

Pros: ++ Heats up fast within 30 seconds! ++ Temperature control ++ Excellent finish ++ Easy to use ++ I got mine with extra tips Cons: -- Not cheap at all! Other thoughts: I love this soldering iron. It heats up fast and it is easy to use which makes it fun. I use this to work on electronic projects as well as fixing wiring on my cars. It goes without saying, this thing is EXPENSIVE. However, it immediately pays for itself and again, it is a joy to use. If you have the cash and do moderate soldering, I highly recommend this product. This is one of the must have items I wanted next to a digital oscilloscope and digital function generator I also now have.

The soldering iron is grate it heats up extremely fast and all the tips that came with it are nice Easy to change the soldering tips and being eletro statick discharge or esd safe is grate.

Light, Agile, comfortable in the hand; You could spend substantially more $$ and not get a better setup...Im also having very good life from the tips! (I use primarily ALPHA 63/37 or KESTER 44 60/40, both .031) Highly Recommended!

Much harder to change/set temperature than any analog solder station..
