Dremel DF30-01 Pink PLA Filament

Prints great in my Dremel 3D20! Comes out as a somewhat/almost translucent like. Very nice color. Only downfall is that your paying a lot for half the filament compared to other filament brands. Dremel would sell a lot more if their filament prices were more competitive.

Not the most cost efficient, but spool fits into our Dremel printer.

Almost all rools i bought (1 for each color) has a filament overlap internally, that block, without prior notice, the rotation of the roll while feeding. This blocks the machine normal fumctioning and requires declogging the head. Once I even had to disassemble it. So no I am inspecting the full roll in order to detect any other overlap.

Using this in a Dremel Idea Builder 3D45 and the results were great! The standard 3D45 spools come with RFID so once placed into the printer, the settings are automatically set. Because these do not have said RFID tag included, the printer prompted me to choose the material type and then the various other settings for the material such as extruder temp, heated bed temp, etc. This was no issue and I had control over each either at the printer itself or within the Dremel slicing software as well the online printer interface. The product came properly vacuum sealed and with desiccant pack included. Because of habit; once opened I placed thefilament in my DIY dry box (semi-airtight box with loose descant) for them to properly cure and remove any moisture, however, this likely may not be needed right out of the seal. The material a day or two later was placed in the printer and not a single issue. Being hard pressed to find something wrong; the only thing I could come up with is that the actual spool the filament is on, unlike the 3D45 counterparts, does not have holes or spacing in the spoked areas. This makes it a bit tricky to get the spool back out of the spool holder built into the printer. I have large hands and as such could not get a grip on the edge to remove so I simply had to place a wooden stick and slide/pry out the spool some to get a grip. Overall nothing to be concerned with but something that caught me in one of those Ah Ha! moments. Overall a great product and price and I will continue to purchase these spools of filament. They work great and cannot recommend enough!

It was a gift for someone

I opened this and tried to print and it keeps breaking I’m not sure what’s going on.

This is my all around favorite go to filament so far. I use it for most items, which is why so much I make photographs badly, black is hard to take a detailed picture of. Very true to 1.75mm with great quality and consistency. Not the cheapest but why take a chance over a few bucks? At the end of a spool I noticed brittleness and the filament doesnt straighten out as well but I am willing to bet that is due to my storage environment being too high in humidity.

Brittle, and I mean brittle. Like the last third of the roll will snap as soon as it feeds into the extruder. Melts and flows well, strength is good, but it breaks constantly.

This is listed as 1.75mm however in my experience with the product (2 rolls) its roughly 1.8-1.85 mm which jams up my print head. Take with it what you will but I think the QC for this filament isnt quite as good as others. Purchased at Home Depot before they stopped carrying it in my area.

Great filament. Works extremely well with consistent results.
