> 3 dayIm not sure what happened to the filament quality since I purchased the Dremel 3D40 back in 2016. Somewhere along the line, Dremel (or more accurately, their filament supplier) dropped the ball. While I have nothing but good things to say about the 3D40 and the Dremel tech support staff, I cant at this point say ANYTHING good about their filament. IT IS COMPLETE GARBAGE! A brand new spool will generally print fine, and prints fine, but you either need to use the whole spool at once or make the time to 3D print something every day. If the filament is left unused in the printer for more than a couple of days, it begins to break in places. All too often, it will break mid-print. One spool came dried out/broken despite its being sealed. I have already all of pointed this out to Dremel tech support and I think theyre aware of it, but nothing has been done to improve the quality of the filament. They suggested putting a bag of dessicant inside the printer. I have a dozen bags of dessicant, and nothing has changed. I print in a climate controlled environment, so I dont see what the problem might be. I took the liberty of printing a filament adapter and will be trying a quality 3rd party filament shortly. Has anyone else had this problem? Hopefully Dremel slaps/changes their filament supplier soon, because the reputation of an otherwise excellent printer is at stake...

> 3 dayDremel dropped the ball with their PLA. It is very brittle and basically shatters as it is fed through the printer. luckily the 3d45 can detect when the filament is no longer feeding and will stop, my 3d20 does NOT, and so itll continue and eventually burn the hot end. Weve contacted dremel many times about this and theyve sent me free spools to compensate. But those free spools also break many times. They also told me they updated their formula and the problem was fixed.. its better now.. but still breaks too many times. Went with amazon basics filament with an external spool holder

Greater than one weekThe prints came out great but after every job I had to replace the line since it would break when I went to use it the next day. At $40 + for a small spool of filament is not worth it. This is not the way Dremel.

> 3 dayEasy to config and use. Wish it was Bluetooth enabled so we could put it across room from pc connected to it.

> 3 dayThis PLA is amazing. I have been very happy with the results. The one drawback is the fact its black. The platform cover is also black, so you cant look in and see problems very well. The brighter colors work better for the black background. Aside from that it has far surpassed my expectations.

> 3 dayWhile I love my 3D printer this filament is garbage. Its just this color though. Its brittle, hard to use, and its a real shame because its a pretty color
