It’s great for my small apartment because I can just pick it up, vacuum, empty the full cartridge from vacuuming one room, and hang it back up. I am actually vacuuming as much as I should be where before I was not. I will say my hands do cramp if I use it too long. While it isn’t a lot of pressure to keep it on, it does take pressure. If holding your hand around a cup so you don’t drop it is difficult, this will be, too. However, I like that it turns off immediately if I need it to. So it’s fine. I also need to be mindful of what part of my hand is pushing the vacuum forward. I can get sore thumbs if I push where my thumb connects to my hand. If I push with my thumb pad, it’s all good. Changing the vacuum parts is a bit awkward and heavy. However, if you struggle with holding heavy objects while having to push buttons and pull at the same time, I suggest laying it on a table and that is much more doable. I can do it without the table, but why wouldn’t I when it’s there to help? XD I’ve had this vacuum for quite some time now (not a full year) and am very glad I purchased this. Hope this lasts me a long time!

I own a Dyson Ball vac and a older Dyson stick vacuum, the stick vac is well over 5 years old and I have had to replace the battery once so far. Its about that time to replace the battery again because it only runs for at most 5 min on a charge, where it used to run for about 15 min on a new battery. Aside from the dying battery it is still going strong. I primarily use the stick vac for vacuuming our kitchen and entry way tiles, so I generally dont need long run times. The V11 is overkill for my initial needs in terms of price and battery capacity (about 45 to 60min), but I bought it anyway and Im glad I did. So, after using it for a couple months I have to say it has impressed me to no end. I literally have no use for my Dyson Ball vac anymore. The V11 has just enough run time to vacuum my whole house (3500sqft) and I believe it has better suction then my ball vac. This thing makes vacuuming the stairs a breeze and I no longer have to move furnature around to get into tight spaces like between couches because the head is smaller and less bulky than the ball vac. Light weight and portability is the biggest plus for the V11 compared to my ball vac... its funny that I am comparing the V11 to a full sized plug in vacuum but it literally is that good. This is sounding like a too good to be true review, trust me it is not. Aesthetically the the coolest thing is the display and I thought at first it was gimmicky. Well I was wrong, since I have moved on to only using the V11 and retiring my ball vac the display has helped me gauge how much time I have left for vacuuming the house. So far I have not run out of charge even on long runs, by long runs I mean vacuuming the whole house in one go and I have done this multiple times already. Only downside to this little guy is that I have to empty the waste bin halfway through my long vaccuming sessions. There are loads of attachemnt heads most of which I havent used yet. The only real gimmick to this vacuum is that there is a sound effect that happens when the trigger is released. Its like a cartoon spring boing sound, but it is a very pleasing sound and not at all annoying. Hope this review helps someone because I feel like I have just been rambling on and on.

This is by far the best vacuum I have ever purchased!!!!! Handles pet hair and anything else you throw in it’s path. My only complaint would be…. Why didn’t I buy this sooner!!!! Seriously though….. it can get a little heavy if doing a large job but other than that it’s perfect! Fits in small tight spaces and automatically switches from shag carpet to hardwood flooring effortlessly. Would definitely buy again if/when needed.

I wish I could return this product. I’ve had this product since January of 2020. It worked well for about one year. But it hardly works now. Barely picks up hair. I have to change the filter each time I use it. When I’m done with it and go to hang it up, it drops a bunch of dirt and stuff that was supposed to be sucked up. I’m in the market, yet again, for a new vacuum. Super disappointed.

We typically just use it one room at a time, but it should be able to last a few rooms. Its also light enough and portable enough to carry up a flight of stairs easily. There are two issues I have with it though. First, its top heavy. Which is obvious, since everything is up top. So, even though its lightweight, for my elderly parents, its not as easy to use. The second issue is more of a design issue. You have to keep your finger on the trigger. Granted its a very light trigger. But when you add in this is top heavy, it easily gets very difficult juggling the weight with the need to constantly pull the trigger. I would have preferred an on off trigger, so that you can hold the vacuum however is most comfortable. As for the vacuum itself. It sucks everything up. What I was most impressed with was how much dust it picks up. Definitely a lot more than my older vacuum. The attachments are also easy to put on, and take off. Emptying the vacuum is easy with the one touch ejection. But definitely empty the vacuum outside in the trash can, as dust does seem to fly around when cleaning it. Other than that, it does whats advertised. Can be used on carpet or hardwood floors. it rolls easy, although cornering takes a bit of work.

This is my second dyson cordless vacuum. I have 4 dogs. After trying to go a cheap route after my first dyson bit the dust, I lasted less than a month before buying another Dyson. The suction and technology is unmatched. One of my favorite attachments is the small beater. It makes vacuuming the couch SO easy.

We absolutely love this! It’s so light weight for a vac, it’s cordless. So nice to take anywhere. It’s easy to clean your car with! Love it!

Amazing suction. Used another vacuum (let’s call it Electrolux with a beater head attachment) first. Then used the Dyson. The amount of dog hair left behind Filled the canister. No hair stuck on the power head. Other machines I have had, you would need to clean the brush frequently using scissors. Not this machine! Highly recommend for people with Siberian Husky’s !! Soo worth the $$.

I live in a small apartment with wood floors so a traditional vacuum is a little overkill. The Dyson v11 Animal fits the bill. It does a great job on cat fur. It’s numerous attachments make it very versatile and I especially like the different power settings. You can drain the battery pretty quickly while using the Boost setting. I recommend running it on Eco or Auto unless you need the extra suction for a particular job. I’ve had my v11 for just under 3 years and my only complaint is a few of the plastic parts are not built strong enough. I’ve had to replace the trigger twice and the main body that holds the trigger once. The latter was because the plastic posts where the screws inside attach break relatively easily. It’s not like they are exposed making them vulnerable to dings while cleaning, but all it takes is dropping it or having it tip over a few times and you’ll have broken screw posts. The only time it’s a problem comes when you have to replace the trigger. The good news is the v11 is easy to fix without having to pay Dyson to do it. I recommend buying a metal after market trigger, put it in as soon as the original plastic trigger breaks and then never open the housing again. There are videos all over the Internet that can walk you through the process and the tools you need to do it (like a long, thin, size 8 star screwdriver). So, all-in-all it’s a good vacuum with a few minor design flaws. UPDATE: Dyson has changed the way it manufactures the main body. They now cover the internal circuit board with silicone sealant. This means in order to install a metal trigger, you have to carefully scrape off the sealant with a razor or x-acto knife to get at terminal connections. Those connections must be disconnected in order to replace the trigger. I’m not sure why Dyson did this. A cynic would say it was to make it harder to self-repair or repair out of warranty, but I hope that was not their motivation.

I am the vacuum King. I think I have owned every vacuum on the market and none of them were really that great . I have a regular large corded Bissell that I normally use but the damn thing is so heavy, its like trying to push a bus so I started using a cordless vacuum for my kitchen. I end up doing the whole house but it just wasnt strong enough and it only lasted about 20 minutes. Ive always wanted a Dyson but never wanted to spend the money thinking all vacuums are the well I am beyond shocked on how well this vacuum performed. I actually cannot believe it,used this vacuum for tile floors in my whole house and all the shag area rugs. I still had 60% power left and I had to empty it three times thats how much stuff it picked up when I just vacuumed 3 days ago, I have a dog that sheds unbelievably, its also light colored hair Im white top floor so you cannot see it but its there, its crazy. If I would have known it was this good I would have spent the extra money and got the top of the line biggest one they had , but I wasnt sure so $599 was enough . if I ever need another one I will be getting another Dyson. this is by far the best vacuum I ever owned. If anyone else says anything different they are nuts.
