> 3 dayThis is far superior than other brands I have tried! After a back injury, I have to have a lightweight vacuum. But other brands just didnt have the suction power, or the ease of use. I have two long-haired dogs, and this picks up fur easily... I use it on my carpets as well as my hard-wood floors. Separate brushes are perfect. Also, perfect attachments for use in my car or in tight places. Thanks so much for this great product. Ive recommended it to friends and family!

> 3 dayI am a Dyson Animal loyalist. This is my first cordless Dyson, and Ive had it for about two months now. I use it multiple times a day (I have a Siberian Husky...nuff said) and I maintain the vacuum exactly as directed. Its awesome, and yet there are some major issues with it. I have to give it four stars, but honestly, my other Dyson was much better. Heres my list of pros and cons: 1. Its a Dyson Animal! Dyson Animals are essential to pet owners. The amount of hair this thing picks up from my hardwood floors and carpet is amazing. No other vacuum even comes close. 2. Its very easy to empty the canister and to clean/maintain this vacuum and the filter. 3. It holds a charge for a really long time, considering that its a cordless vacuum. 4. It doesnt come with a ton of attachments, but the ones it does come with are practical and I use them frequently. You can also order additional attachments if you need them. CONS 1. As other reviewers have mentioned, it is absolutely RIDICULOUS that there is no on/off button. The vacuum is on for only as long as you press your finger against the on switch. Dyson claims this helps conserve battery life. I say, that is total BS. My finger gets pretty sore after Ive been vacuuming for 15+ minutes and pressing the stupid button down for the whole time. I paid nearly $600 for this machine and should get a freaking on/off button, for gods sake. 2. While the vacuum is easy to empty, I wish it held just a tad more stuff in the canister. Also, I always accidentally press and hold the on/off switch when trying to empty the vacuum canister, which is super annoying. 3. Theres no headlight on this vacuum. Again, a pretty basic feature that one would expect when spending close to $600. Thats pretty much it. I still am glad I bought this, as I cannot imagine my dog hair-infested life without it, but seriously, for this price, I expected a bit more. Dyson, you could do so much better.

> 3 dayMy V11 Torque Drive vacuum arrived without issues. I had no problems with the floor brush like some customers have experienced. PROS Appearance It looks nice with its metallic blue color. Plus because of its compact size, it isnt an eyesore if you have to store it in a visible location instead of a closet. LCD Display Its so great knowing how much power is left rather than having to guess how much time I can vacuum before the battery dies. The display also assist in troubleshooting issues like blockages or improper attachment of filter and accessories. Powerful cleaning This vacuum sucks in the good sense of the word. Sensible Accessories There is no unwieldy accordion hose in here. The set of included accessories are stuff I actually would want to use. Im more partial to the combination brush, the motorized brush for upholstery, and the crevice tool, but the whole accessory set seems well thought out. Easy to empty The dust bin is easy to empty, with only one caveat explained in the cons below. CONS Its Heavy! The V11 Torque looks more lightweight than it actually is. As someone with a medical condition, pushing the V11 around takes much more effort than I was hoping for. And the problem isnt resistance from the floor/carpet brush head. Even when used as a handheld vacuum, you will feel the weight. Trigger-happy This vacuum is operated with a trigger that you have to keep pressed for as long as youre using the vacuum. I wish there was a way to lock it in the on position. The trigger doesnt require much pressure to activate though, which is fine while youre vacuuming, but pure evil when youre emptying the dust bin. Long recharge time Battery life is okay for a cordless vacuum, but the 4.5 hours of charging time is too much. I wish this thing had a quick charger, especially considering the size of the power adapter. Speaking of which... What is it with Dyson and incredibly huge power adapters?! I have their hair dryer, the V11 Torque vacuum and the TP04 air purifier, and its like their engineering teams competed for who could get away with using the biggest power plug they could make. The AC adapter for the V11 Torque is not as huge and unwieldy as the power adapter for the TP04 purifier, but its still big and may fall off from outlets with weak grip or outlets mounted sideways. CONCLUSION Dyson products are typically regarded as pricey. Im not sure the V11 Torque is worth the asking price but unlike with their hair dryer, Im not ready to say this vacuum is overpriced. Im torn on whether or not to recommend the V11.

> 3 dayI bought a Dyson V10 a few years ago, and I love it. I moved to a new house, and my stuff has been in storage for several months, and my place was just getting too dusty for simple sweeping clean and/or mopping the floors. So I decided to give the V11 a chance. The Time Remaining Meter: Thats a cool feature, but not terribly important for me personally. It was easy to get accustomed to how much vacuuming I could do with the V10 before I had to charge it again. The Real-Time Carpet/Floor Adjustment: Not very impressed with the smart speed setting when rolling over throw rugs, at least. I have tile and wood floors, and only have small throw rugs in the bathroom, for example. It doesnt really register and speed up until Im about 40%-60% done with the 3x5 carpet. I think it would be more convenient if you have larger carpet space to vacuum over. Conclusion: Other than those two additions, this is basically the V10, but revised. Either model is a good purchase. I only had cheap $30-$40 Dirt Devil small vacuums for 20+ years, and got tired of the terrible efficiency. It also was annoying when a model I had would no longer have replacement bags and pieces after a couple/few years. The Dyson was initially something that made me think What the heck are you doing spending this much for a VACUUM?!, only to go home and vacuum my entire place in 20 minutes. I was floored (pun intended), because it used to take 20 minutes to do just the living room! So I recommend considering these models if you want a mobile, not too heavy, and reliable vacuum that is really easy to empty the dust into the trash. The attachments are nice as well, but... ADVICE: Adjust your budget to include the fluffy cleaner head. That is amazing if you have tile and/or wooden floors.

> 3 dayI love vacuuming!! It has incredible suction for wood floors, grabs dirt on the edges of the head of the vac, automatically adjusts for the area rug and I am totally amazed at the amount of dirt and dust comes out of that rug. I love watching the dust bin fill up! I must lead a very boring life to get so excited about a vacuum cleaner.

> 3 dayThe setup…I have always used extra strong canister vacuums but wanted to downsize without sacrificing quality when my kids went to college. We live in an old New England home with narrow and steep stairs, original floor boards that are uneven and have narrow spaces between many of the boards, and area rugs. And pets. Hair, scratching posts, litter boxes, dog beds. The good…excellent for pet hair and around the litter box and scratching posts. The maneuverability and coverage is great on the hidden, treacherous, hardwood back kitchen stairs as well as the carpeted stairs to the attic. The battery life. The battery shows three bars and it still had one bar after vacuuming 2500 ft2. Charging the battery, connecting and disconnecting the battery to the vacuum is very easy. Although my prior vacuum had slightly better clearance for under the furniture, this one gets into corners and around furniture much better. Also it can rotate 90 degrees so you can fully vacuum a small space between the toilet and the wall as an example. The bad…I had to empty the canister three times due to the area rugs. My canister vacuum filter lasted a month. Still, a small inconvenience versus moving the plug around to different outlets. It is top heavy (but again I am used to a canister). Not bad for me, but might be tough for an elderly person. You have to keep the button pressed down to keep it on so may be hard for someone with arthritis. It doesn’t vacuum well when pulling the head backward across the floor. All in all, I am impressed. It is still a new purchase so I have no idea if the battery life will erode over time. But my canister vacuum is going into the garage.

> 3 dayThis is the best vacuum cleaner I have ever owned, and I have had an Electrolux and Shark. It is so lightweight that I can just walk with it from room to room; and being cordless, I dont have to worry with plugging it in and dragging the cord around. I am very, VERY pleased with this purchase! Came fairly quickly, too.

> 3 dayI own a Dyson Ball vac and a older Dyson stick vacuum, the stick vac is well over 5 years old and I have had to replace the battery once so far. Its about that time to replace the battery again because it only runs for at most 5 min on a charge, where it used to run for about 15 min on a new battery. Aside from the dying battery it is still going strong. I primarily use the stick vac for vacuuming our kitchen and entry way tiles, so I generally dont need long run times. The V11 is overkill for my initial needs in terms of price and battery capacity (about 45 to 60min), but I bought it anyway and Im glad I did. So, after using it for a couple months I have to say it has impressed me to no end. I literally have no use for my Dyson Ball vac anymore. The V11 has just enough run time to vacuum my whole house (3500sqft) and I believe it has better suction then my ball vac. This thing makes vacuuming the stairs a breeze and I no longer have to move furnature around to get into tight spaces like between couches because the head is smaller and less bulky than the ball vac. Light weight and portability is the biggest plus for the V11 compared to my ball vac... its funny that I am comparing the V11 to a full sized plug in vacuum but it literally is that good. This is sounding like a too good to be true review, trust me it is not. Aesthetically the the coolest thing is the display and I thought at first it was gimmicky. Well I was wrong, since I have moved on to only using the V11 and retiring my ball vac the display has helped me gauge how much time I have left for vacuuming the house. So far I have not run out of charge even on long runs, by long runs I mean vacuuming the whole house in one go and I have done this multiple times already. Only downside to this little guy is that I have to empty the waste bin halfway through my long vaccuming sessions. There are loads of attachemnt heads most of which I havent used yet. The only real gimmick to this vacuum is that there is a sound effect that happens when the trigger is released. Its like a cartoon spring boing sound, but it is a very pleasing sound and not at all annoying. Hope this review helps someone because I feel like I have just been rambling on and on.

> 3 dayI actually LOVE vacuuming now. It’s so easy for quick spills or daily tidying. Plenty powerful and cordless to take upstairs, downstairs, and ON THE STAIRS. I do wish the next one will have a larger fill chamber. With two dogs, I have to empty twice, but it IS so quick to change out.

> 3 daySo far, I love this vacuum. I have a Husky/German Shepherd mix and a tabby cat. We have hair everywhere, all of the time. Even right after I sweep, mop the floors, and vacuum. Last year I purchased a handheld Shark that is a good product, but it hasn’t been as powerful as this Dyson when you’re using it in handheld mode or on the hardwood floors in my home. I got the V11 Torque, and it’s outperforming my old, corded Animal DC 17. I felt like I didn’t really need a new vacuum, but this baby is pulling out a ton of pet hair and dust from my 22 month old home’s carpets. We have about 2100 square feet of carpets and 500 sq feet of hardwood and 200 sq foot of tile, and it’s been very versatile on all of our floor types. I used my DC17 on the hardwood, but I never truly captured the dust and animal hair, and I’m terrible at sweeping, but this has been a game changer. Vacuuming under furniture, around chair legs, carpeted stairs, and my husband’s extremely messy man cave was easy too, because the head of this vacuum is much lower profile than my old Dyson’s head. The transitions from our hard floors to our carpet always looked rough, but after using this vacuum in both today, I’m so happy. I can’t see any remaining doggy hair. The stairs and our couches are so much easier vacuumed than lugging around our old, heavy corded Dyson, so I suspect my home will be cleaner, since it’s much easier to use. I do wish the stamina of the battery were better, but I am able to lean an entire 2715 square foot home on one charge. I’m hoping with TLC, the battery will hold up for years.
