ELEGOO Saturn 2 MSLA 3D Printer, UV Resin Photocuring Printer with 10-inch 8K Monochrome LCD, 219x123x250mm³ / 8.62x4.84x9.84 in³ Large Printing Size

Ive only used this printer a handful of times, but from what I can see its a great 8K printer that is worth the price.

It’s very straightforward and easy to use. The only problem I have this line through the print. I’ve emailed Elegoo so hopefully they can fix this or let me know what the issue is. I sliced the model three different times so I know it isn’t the slicer. Update. Elegoo contacted me. We think it was a slicer issue.

This machine prints beautifully once you get everything dialed in. At first I had problems with it trying to print the rook and it not sticking to the buildplate. After going back and forth with support with troubleshooting the problem, we narrowed it down to the PFA film being bad. Once replaced it has been printing beautifully since. Overall if you’re thinking about buying it just go for it and buy it. You won’t be disappointed with the quality that this thing prints out

I have loved this printer from the moment I received it! The build plate is so large compared to printers like the Mars or AC Photon. And it prints way faster than those other machines as well! With the stronger lcd, exposure times drop from normally being around 8 seconds a layer to a mere 2 seconds per layer! The detail you are able to get with this printer blows your standard fdm pronter out of the water. Its beginner friendly, provided your open to doing just a little bit if homework to ensure all your prints come out right (as with any printer on the market). Can not recommend this printer enough ☺️

The Elegoo Saturn has a simple, intuitive interface, a relatively large print volume compared to other SLA printers in the same price range, prints a variety of Resin Types (Simple, Fast, Build, Tenacious, Blu (although Blu is much more difficult to print and dial-in due to viscosity). It is fully assembled and ready to print out of box. I was able to setup and print in less than 20 mins with good results using Fast/Simple resins.

Everything you’ve heard about this machine is true. It is unbelievably good! I have an original Mars and to see the difference in speed and quality is mind blowing! The only problem I have with the Saturn is that usually the quantities available are limited so it has taken a while for me to get my hands on this one. Don’t pass up this machine if you have the opportunity. It’s awesome.

This is the first 3d printer I have owned due to the quality of prints I have seen from friends FDM printers. This surpassed my expectations greatly. The resolution of the prints is possibly smaller than a human hair and no layers to be seen. The instructions could use some work. DO NOT PRINT THE ROOK from the usb drive without first putting it into chitubox. It needs supports that will raise it off the printing platform. You also HAVE TO setup a profile in chitubox for the Saturn for bottom exposure and other settings. Failure to do this will give you a nice looking rook that is completely stuck to the build platform. One of the main costs of printing is the IPA, which you will need to clean the uncured resin off the print. After about 10 large size prints, 7 liters of IPA was cloudy. I wipe the platform and spray the model clean before putting it in the Mercury tank now. The standard resin is very brittle and not suited for mechanical parts.

The Elegoo Saturn is a FANTASTIC monocrhrone lcd mlsa (resin) printer. It’s very easy to use, very fast printing and the 4K resolution detail is astonishing. Very easy to level and get started. Big fan of Elegoo’s customer service. They helped me in every way, I decided to buy their Neptune 2 fdm printer. USB is wasily accessible on the right side. I recommend this printer over Anycubic’s Mono X any day.

This printer is excellent. The bed was pre-leveled. The print quality is awesome. There are many video reviews out there for this printer and in general for Elegoo products.

LIKES - Cant think of one thing I enjoyed about getting failed print after failed print. DISLIKES - USB drive was not included with mine. Apparently had firmware needed for this printer. I had to locate and use my own USB to upload firmware which may or may not have been correct. - FEP film had a small tear out of the box. First attempted print the FEP failed and ruined the screen. 87$ later new screen still no successful prints. - Hardware stripped when changing FEP. Had to find comparable hardware to complete FEP Change. - Did not come with bed leveling card. Everyone and their mother has their own sworn way of leveling the bed. None worked to get me to a successful print. - Slicing software slow - After cleaning, straining resin back into container, changing FEPs, re leveling bed, trying to find successful ways to use Chitubox software and failing print after print, it wasnt worth even ONE good print. I could have used my time more constructively. - Returned product and still dont have my money back. BUYER BEWARE!
