I do both resin and FDM printing and I am a professional miniture painter. I would say this is a great printer for entry level and moderate printers. Granted I do see and find room for improvement on the Saturn. With this said I look forward to one day testing and reviewing the Jupiter as well.

After researching SLA printers for months, I decided to wait out the pre-orders and get the ELEGOO Saturn as my first resin printer. I received it just before Christmas and it has been the best printing experience I have ever had. It makes me other FDM printers look like cheap toys. The print quality is impeccable, and the machine itself is very sold and well built. No plastic anywhere, all metal. I highly recommend this printer if you can get your hands on one!

This printer is not only excellent, but it is inexpensive. The level of detail it is capable of is amazing. I did have to do a Z axis calibration, but once that was complete, this thing is spot on perfect. The only issue that has held me up is the build plates I received were not perfectly flat. Elegoo customer service is excellent, friendly, knowledgeable, and prompt. They are sending me new build plates to replace the warped ones. When I say warped, I am only talking 0.017 out of flat. If you dont print tiny parts directly on the build plate like I do, then you will never even notice this. All in all I am very pleased with this purchase. Thank you Elegoo. Update 7-28-2021. As promised, Elegoo replaced my build plates free of charge. The new ones are perfect. Thanks again for a great product.

These are great printers when they work. The issue is, theres no support and a lack of quality control. The screen was half blown on my last one, the one before that the build plate was stripped so the hex screws would not tighten the ball to level the plate, it just swung around freely. They dont seem to check these issues often when sending these out-otherwise when you get a good printer, they can be very good. The Elegoo customer service does not often reply to you, either so its easier to just return and replace then try and get parts.

I have a Mars pro printer and it works great. However the build size is a little small. When I saw the Saturn on sale at the normal elegoo price (and not from a scalper) I jumped on it. The saturns build size is perfect and you can get pretty big prints from it. Build size is comparable to some fdm printers. I included a picture of a hulk statue I’m working on. It’s 12 inches tall! Print quality is just as good as the Mars and maybe a little better. Also included a couple pictures of the Saturn next to the Mars and resin vats

By far the saturn is my favorite machine. I own the Mars, Mars 2 and the saturn. Each model has only been better than thw last. The print quality is great and I love that the build plate is bigger and faster now. I am able to cut my time in half. Currently saving to buy my second one.

Coming from FDM printing and new to SLA, this is making it so easy. Beautiful prints with no more layer lines, and amazing detail and super easy to clean with the wash and cure machine all the hard work is done for you. Level the bed, load a print fire and forget. When done. Wash, wait for it to dry and cure.

So I ran into a little problem with a leak in the vat but Elegoo immediately offered to fix my problem by sending me out parts and even a new bottle of resin !!! Great support. As for print quality it’s absolutely amazing and pretty much ready to go out of the box within minutes. This kills my Prusa FDM printer as that always seems to have problems. As for the software trust me use Lychee Slicer as it is awesome. This is the best deal in Resin printers believe me. Will definitely buy another one.

Many others out there but Elegoo have truly cornered the market with all of their resin printers. Never disappointed in what their product delivers.
