> 3 dayExtremely easy to setup, literally ready to print within 10 minutes of getting it. Unpackaged plugged in and leveled the plate. Do some research and learn what you need to do before you start printing. I watched some youtube videos and read forums before I got the printer. I ended up damaging the LCD screen somehow a couple months after getting the printer. I emailed Elegoo through Amazon and they are shipping me a new LCD, free of charge. Terrific people at Elegoo. I share custody of my children with my ex wife and I have them in the summers. My 14year old son was here with me all summer and we had such a great time with this printer, finding prints, making our own gadgets and brainstorming on what we could come up with. It was priceless for me to bond with my son like this, we literally spent hours upon hours in the garage designing and coming up with new ideas. He learned how to design in fusion 360 (free version) and ended up teaching me some stuff. Truly grateful for this amazing printer.

> 3 dayGreat printer for beginners and seasoned users. I had no issues yet beyond user error. I just wished it came with a tempered glass screen protector from the factory

04-06-2025Bought this as a replacement to an anycubic machine that took a crap on me. I was impressed right away with this machine, as it was a bit more straight forward on its setup. I like the menu options better and the software is okay, but nothing to write home about. However. There is a learning curve with resin printers, I got this machine because I do alot of miniatures, and when I say alot I mean it. This thing cranks out awesome minis when you take the time to set it up properly. Be patient, this machine prints a little slow. But will give you beautiful models when you are dont with it. (Also get a magnetic build plate, I got one from a 3rd party seller but it will make your life 10x easier!)

Greater than one weekHad to return the first printer due to stripped VAT screw right out of the box. Was nearly impossible to remove left screw to remove the VAT. However, prints were great quality after some tweaking! Returned unit and the replacement unit had the EXACT SAME issue! Cross threaded VAT screw. So severely that I could not remove the VAT to set up printer. I really wanted to highly reccomend this printer because I am a big fan of Elegoo products. Unfortunately, this may have detered me away from future Elegoo products.

> 3 dayIt has a learning curve, getting the machine dialed in to the resin and room conditions, but once set it has worked excellent. I am new to the resin printing side of making things and I am pleasantly surprised at the quality this machine produces. It is amazing.

> 3 dayI am using the printer to make housings for prototype electronic projects. The prints have turned out beautiful, with minimal post processing required.

04-06-2025Overall, the Saturn 8K is a solid printer. It has a very good z axis and build plate, and a great resin vat. My only gripe is a big one, though— it can’t achieve truly perfect prints due to the thin piece of tempered glass that Elegoo put on top of the LCD. This glass will protect the LCD from clutzy users, but it also causes just a tiny bit of light scatter and causes the finest details to wash out. To achieve the finest quality, the distance between the LCD and the resin curing plane must be as small as possible. Usually, the thickness of the FEP sheet is the only factor, and one can use thinner FEP to improve quality. With the glass protector, there is too much space between the LCD and the resin, and fine details suffer. My Mars 3 has no glass, and it achieves better detail than my Saturn 8K even though its XY resolution is not as good. If I can figure out how to remove the glass from my Saturn 8K, it would be a fantastic printer.
