This is the second 3d Resin printer that I have purchased from Elegoo and I have been pleased with both the Mars and now the Saturn. I have had it for 8 Months now and have not had a problem and the quality on the prints is phenomenal. I had originally planned on using the Saturn only for larger models and still using the Mars for small models but its so convenient to print I use it all the time.

Great printer, amazing resolution, well built. Definitely go watch YouTube videos about print settings/supports, etc. (of which there are many). Once you’ve got it dialed in it’s pretty smooth sailing. Just be careful removing prints from the build plate. The corners are very sharp and WILL CUT YOU if your hand slips when the print separates from plate. Trust me. My advice: never print anything flat on the plate. It will be VERY DIFFICULT to remove, very frustrating and potentially dangerous to your hand. Always use supports to lift the piece. Even the test print rooks. You will have to chisel them off and inevitably gouge your build plate. But when you understand what to do, this thing is magic and a joy to use and own. Go create!!!

LIKES - Cant think of one thing I enjoyed about getting failed print after failed print. DISLIKES - USB drive was not included with mine. Apparently had firmware needed for this printer. I had to locate and use my own USB to upload firmware which may or may not have been correct. - FEP film had a small tear out of the box. First attempted print the FEP failed and ruined the screen. 87$ later new screen still no successful prints. - Hardware stripped when changing FEP. Had to find comparable hardware to complete FEP Change. - Did not come with bed leveling card. Everyone and their mother has their own sworn way of leveling the bed. None worked to get me to a successful print. - Slicing software slow - After cleaning, straining resin back into container, changing FEPs, re leveling bed, trying to find successful ways to use Chitubox software and failing print after print, it wasnt worth even ONE good print. I could have used my time more constructively. - Returned product and still dont have my money back. BUYER BEWARE!

Arrived safely packed and was very easy to setup. Using the included leveling card, it only took 15-20minutes to set this up. Great value compared to the other sub-$1000 printers.

Im at a 50/50 success rate. When I actually do make a successful print its great. Maybe user error. The elegoo Saturn is nice.

Updated: no instructions with replacement plate and bolts. Reddit users suggested this was a horrible idea from Elegoo support. Im returning it. Kinda mad because I almost hit my return window waiting on these parts. _____ The bolts to the resin tank don’t fit and will not hold it down. Therefore it cannot be used. I put in a support ticket with manf and it took several back and forths to get them to understand the problem. Then said they would send me a new set of bolts and red plate. My package has been sitting in California since the 9th. Today is the 23rd and tracking hasn’t moved. For something so expensive it shouldn’t have had this issue to start with. I’m going to miss my return window if they don’t get replacement parts to me. Very frustrating.

Disclaimer: Elegoo support asked me to write this review after they shipped me some replacement parts for free. They did not ask me to put anything specific in the review. ------ This is my first resin printer and its been a ton of fun. I have printed a handful of 32mm scale minis and most of them have turned out great. My only reason for reviewing 4 stars is because I wish it was harder to make the mistakes I did. Resin shouldnt have any feasible way to get to the interior of the machine because there are always end users like me who make mistakes. I will say that if you are also a first time printer, dont expect this to work like a 2D printer. Printing, washing, curing, etc. is a process and its something you get better at over time. Regardless, this machine has worked really well as my first printer. Unfortunately since Im new to 3D printing in general, I made some rookie mistakes and had a hole in my FEP during an overnight print. Resin leaked onto the screen, through the cracks around some screws, and down onto the motherboard and cured since the UV lights were on. I contacted support basically asking for advice on how to remove it, but they decided to just ship me a new motherboard and FEP which makes my life much easier. They also gave me some instructions to replace these parts. I will also add that the machine is fairly easy to work on. Taking the screen out is simple, replacing the FEP is simple, and taking the Z-axis off is just a few hex bolts. With the Z-axis off, you have full access to everything in the machine with lots of room to maneuver. Top notch support after dropping $500 and Ill be sticking with Elegoo because of it.

Ive had my Saturn for about 6 months now. It has been consistently putting out great prints. I did have an issue with my LCD screen but Elegoo support was extremely responsive and were able to help me resolve my issues!
