> 24 hourBought this because in the Q&As and in reviews customers said the face plate could be swapped with almond color. However this out does not have an interchangeable faceplate… it’s white ONLY. Mea culpa… don’t trust reviewer with product facts. :) otherwise it installed quickly and paired easily.

> 24 hourBought as an item in Very Good condition, stating that only cosmetic imperfections were present. Received the item with no cosmetic imperfections, yet missing the plate cover, instructions/manual, and the wire nuts were too small. Furthermore, I received the wrong model number - I received model #12721, not 14288. I needed the Z-Wave Plus feature. The one I received is the older Z-Wave feature. So, this item acts as a Z-Wave repeater/extender. Seems to have fixed my signal issue to my furthest device away. But for some reason, it wont repeat a signal from a device 3 times as close... probably due to having the wrong model number.

> 24 hourLike the new design they have. Easy to install and definitely makes life a bit easier now. Have maybe ten throughout the house.

> 24 hourNice plug and works as described and integrated into my SmartThings smart hub flawlessly. However this is just a basic outlet with smart hub power on and off control. I would prefer to buy a Samsung Smart plug for a slight lower price which also gives a power readout. Product looks well built and durable but I am disappointed in the lack of features.

> 24 hourHad little trouble paring this to my system...apparently I had a gap in my wireless web. Once I got it paired, it has worked flawlessly over the past several months.

> 24 hourThis is zwave outlet #8 in my house. These GE/Enbright ones are great to use with my SmartThings hub. They install easily, and pair quickly with the Samsung app. The outlet is deeper than others, so you need to make sure you have plenty of room in your outlet box to house it.

> 24 hourI have installed one of these outlets in almost every room in my house and like the ability to automate lamps that are plugged into them using my Z-Wave hub and its integration with Google Home. I run timed automations via the hub and its software (Trane Home) and use Google voice commands to turn lights on and off. The outlets generally work well and are reliable (unlike some of the more portable plug-in modules which often are unavailable right now according to Google). However, beware a power outage! I have now had my third unit fail after a power outage (which are increasingly frequent here in Texas). Im assuming the surge when power is restored fries the internal relay. At now nearly $40 each, these units are fast becoming more costly than is warranted by their convenience and unobtrusive appearance.

> 24 hourYou will need to “backstab” the ground meaning straighten your ground wire, then nsert into the provided hole next to the green screw—then tighten the screw down. Tech support never suggested this which was really bizarre considering I spoke with four different reps, YES FOUR! Conncecting to SmartThings was seamless, however connecting to Alexa was a nightmare. I tried everything then the next day it connected on my first try. Installed on kitchen counter as “coffee pot”—“Alexa turn coffee pot on”. I finally ditched the drip coffee makers and purchased an electric percolator which by design turns on when you plug it in. This switch allows for Alexa control so no matter what time a get up I just ask her nicely to make my coffee. Note: Fresh perc coffee smells fantastic in the kitchen and tastes better.

> 24 hourI ordered two of the GE Z-wave outlets. After I installed them, they were recognized by my system and worked as expected for a short time. I soon began to have problems with either or both of the outlets not being recognized on my network. I followed suggestions both by GE and by the SmartThings customer support representatives. I could usually restore connection to the outlets by rebuilding the network, but they would soon be dropped again. I have several other devices on my system and have no problems with any of them. I am in the process of returning the outlets.

> 24 hourSuper easy to install with the Smartthings platform. This switch is great because one outlet is constantly powered and the other is a smart switch that can be programmed via your smart hub. Works great and has never lost connection or failed in over a year of use. I have several throughout the house and all work flawlessly
