Had little trouble paring this to my system...apparently I had a gap in my wireless web. Once I got it paired, it has worked flawlessly over the past several months.

Although a bit expensive, this zwave plug is easy to install and pairs quickly with the Hubitat zwave hub. Works great.

I bought this to control some lighting in my home. I originally had an older wink hub, and despite the works with wink branding I was unable to pair the outlet. I even moved the hub 10ft away. I just upgraded to a new smartthings hub and it paired seamlessly. I have since bought more outlets as well as other switches from the Jasco/Ge Z-wave line.

Spent a couple of frustrating hours installing and pairing the GE Z-Wave Plus outlet with my Wink hub. No help on the Wink or GE/Jasco websites nor did anything come up on Google. Luckily someone had posted a solution in one of the reviews. For some reason it didnt come up on any of my keyword searches so Ill post it again. To pair the outlet with the Wink 2 hub: 1) Open the Wink app, 2) Select the hub in the home menu, 3) Select the ellipsis (...), 4) Select the name of your Wink 2 hub, 5) Select Z-Wave Controls, 6) Select Inclusion Mode, 7) When the LED on your hub blinks blue, press and release the button on the Outlet, 8) The LED should turn green and the outlet should now be paired with your hub Dont try to pair this through the Add to Wink path as it will not work. Dont try to scan the bar code on the package as it will say that the device is not compatible.

Initially the outlet inclusion seemed easy, as it took on the first try, but it learned as a generic device, not a ge outlet, so there was no way to turn on/off. Had to exclude and re-include several times before it correctly coded. If I didnt already have a few of these, thus knowing how they should code, I wouldve returned it.

First, its important to note this is a durable, nice looking outlet. Was impressed at first glance. This is my 127th device on my SmartThings hub. It is, however, was my first GE device. The device wired up easy - works solid - click the button the power comes on/off. The issue is pairing to SmartThings. Anyone with ST experience knows some devices are tricky to register - instructions end up not being correct and you look to the internet to find the true instructions from other tech people. This device is very strange - there is no factory reset option -- only a device exclusion that gives no notification of success and requires the ST apps to perform. It further doesnt give any indications it is in inclusion more or just hibernating. I spent about 3 hours reading others with the same problem also struggle -- so were successful and others, like myself, needed to send it back as a defective product. GE needs to provide status indicators for inclusion mode and exclusion mode, as well as confirmation indications like all other large zwave manufacturers. I will also give some blame to SmartThings as they have built a low capacity system that works best with 20 or 30 devices. When you exceed 100 it struggles to perform. However, in this instance the GE outlets simply fail to deliver regardless of my level of patience.

The unit lasted for 4 years, then suddenly stopped working. The z-wave functionality was gone, and the z-wave controlled bottom outlet no longer worked at all. Interestingly enough, all of my older units from the same company(before z-wave plus - GE 45605) are still going strong.

The manufacture has recognized an issue with their product and has extended the warranty to 5 years. Bravo-Zulu

It was working fine for 4 years. Then after a utility outage the device is offline and dead. The non-switched outlet works but the switched outlet is now un-powered. So Im going to have to replace it. Ive read about the fragility of these devices in reviews here and in forums elsewhere. Consider this a warning: its not going to last forever, maybe not even a few years. Is this something you want to hardwire into your home?
