> 3 dayGood quality bit. The one thing that you should be aware of is that this has a solid pilot, not a ball bearing pilot. I should have read the description better. I am happy with the purchase anyway.

> 3 dayRecieved the first bit, wasnt a quadra cut. Called Amazon the said they were very sorry, and arranged for replacement. Second Bit same as the first. This has happened 3 times, do not believe them when they say it is a Quadra-Cut.

01-06-2025First of all, I am very happy with the nice clean cut I get with rounding operations using this bit. Ive used it on elm end grain with no problems. Heres what ticks me off: 1. The additional cutting bits that make this a quadra are partial length and (as far as I can see) dont come into play with a simple rounding over operation. They come into play only when you do beading, which you cant do with this bit as it is. I would have bought the standard bit if I had known that. 2. In order to do beading you have to purchase ANOTHER bearing and washer to the tune of about $26. 3. If you decide its worth it to part with the $26, youll find that the bearing recommended for this bit has an ID of 3/16 The shank on the end of the bit is 1/4. Both amazon and the Freud website have the same conflicting information. Several other reviewers have had similar complaints. I would be glad to make this review more positive if Freud would provide some answers. So Freud, this is one of your customers with a problem. Your comments are welcome. Lets see if you care enough to respond.

> 3 dayA little obnoxious to get the height exactly right, but a perfect little bit other than that. Just make sure you have some scrap to test the height on. If you can afford it, consider getting a cheap router specifically for this bit so you never have to think about it. Leaves a perfectly smooth edge without taking so much off that its obviously machined. Basically just looks like someone with some skill took a file and some sandpaper to break the corner.
