> 24 hourI love this radar. It picks up movement pretty far off and gives u plenty of time to watch and react if u need to.

> 24 hourReally nice sensor. Picks up cars well before I hear them with the exception of the one truck that was traveling in excess of 90 miles an hour while trying to evade the police. Otherwise, great gadget for our Pandemic solo riding.

> 24 hourWorth Every Penny. I highly recommend Varia RLT515. I’m new to toad riding and have been using a mirror for a few months. That’s helped a lot with not having to look over my shoulder - which causes me to swerve into the road... but it’s still hard to see cars in the mirror, especially if their headlights aren’t on. This picks up vehicles in plenty of time - and will notify how many. I absolutely love it. The light is very bright also. If they asked for a recommendation for an improvement, I’d ask for a built in camera with it... but that’s being picky I guess. Three other people I ride with just got one of these as well - they all love it too. Hope this helps!

> 24 hourThis is a must have for any cyclist who is extra nervous about cars approaching from behind. The device sends a signal to your Garmin bike GPS warning of approaching cars, etc from behind about 5 seconds before you hear them. It makes cycling much more relaxing.

> 24 hourBought into the entire Garmin system just to run this light/radar and am very pleased with it. A few of my riding buddies have also purchased this unit and I cant imagine riding without it. Takes a bit of getting used to at first with little surprises like a sudden alert when you riding partner sprints past you but for the most part just works (which is unusual for a Garmin product honestly). I do wish battery life was a bit better but Ive not yet run our of charge on a longish ride. Ive had to re-sync/join the bluetooth twice now for unknowable reasons... The interface is one button and frankly I have no idea what Im doing regarding this thing. I should probably read the manual. Sometimes when I take it off the bike after a stopping ride it just shuts itself off, sometimes it seems to keep blinking this blue light and ends up drained on the counter. But generally as long as you plug it in as soon as you get home it will be ready for the next ride. I also really, really hate the micro-usb connector and wish Garmin would upgrade to a better connection. Its very difficult to plug this thing in without decent lighting. For all the complaining though this thing is amazing and has zero competition or comparable alternatives. It is also well supported at this point by all the major bike computers and this particular model can even pair with your phone for use with apps like RideWithGPS and others. A benchmark and standout product that I would never ride without.

> 24 hourI am a bit of a nervous biker as people drive crazy and this has helped me tremendously. It is not always easy to hear cars coming and this does a great job at alerting you and showing you how far away the vehicle OR vehicles are. I recommend this to everyone I know. They have a newer version with a camera but have read some bad reviews about the functionality of the camera so I am glad I got this cheaper one!

> 24 hourWorks well with my ther Garmin devices. Accurate with traffic, not so much on busy trails.

> 24 hourGreat when riding solo! If in a steady peloton the device works well but Ive found that it does not work well in small group riding (2 - 3 riders) as the system picks up any variation is distance as a vehicle...even for my 52 wife riding her Felt with 650s. I have also found that cars will disappear from the display when riding rollers. But the reappear when they emerge from the valley.

> 24 hourMy ride was 9 hours and 24 minutes. Last 24 minutes I felt unease. When you know what is behind you and suddenly you dont... not the best feeling. I dont know how to deal with it, certainly not buying second varia to cover for longer riding. Will try charging while using it.
