Genuine GORILLA-LIFT 2-Sided Trailer Tailgate Lift Assist

Overall works good with tailgate on my trailer.

It’s overall a great device. It’s well constructed. It seem to go together pretty well but the instructions were not altogether clear. You will have to do drilling on your trailer to put these in. Do not install them far back so if you have a rail clip on the top you will have to remove it with an angle grinder before actually installing these items. If you do install them and would like to have additional links to pull from you can use the wheels that attach to the trailer frame to guide the cable down and not cause abrasion.

Worth every penny. After hours of yard work trailer gate gets heavy. With this lift I can easily flip up the gate with my foot. Should have added a long time ago. You will need a good Drill and Drill Bits. .500” holes take some work. 10 total holes.

These units are Awesome! I had to make a few brackets for my personal install. In short, it’s been a great upgrade. I added a gate extension to my trailer an had to have the assist an this was the answer.

This is one of the best investments for work which Ive ever made. I deliver goods in my own trailer, and the tailgate needs to accommodate weighty stuff, so the gate is heavy gauge metal. Lifting it up and down all the time was doable, but who needs the extra work when you lift a lot already? It goes up and down with nearly zero effort now, and the gate lifting hardware was easy to install.
