> 3 dayVery easy to install and use. Im 66 so it was getting pretty hard for me to raise and lower my trailers talegate. After I installed it I can let it down or rise it up with just my finger !

Greater than one weekI couldnt have asked for better results. Took me about an hour to install by myself, although help (as suggested) on the tail gate would have been thankful. Would of been faster, but two conditions on my trailer required some extra work (see below). Nothing to do with the Gorilla-Lift, just the way my trailer was made. Installation: The rails are about 6 long, (2) 3 pieces with bolts about 1 in from each end. Look at your trailer and make sure you can drill through your top rail and attach a bolt. Also the bolts they sent are long, I assume they send long ones in case you have tube railing. I switched out the (4) interior bolts for shorter bolts. Didnt need to do so I just like the appearance more. The back bolts on my trailer were located directly between the wheels. I had to drill through the top rail and the fender below. The supplied bolts ere long enough to reach through both plates. While the fender is thinner material it is welded to the sides of my trailer so I am not concerned with the capacity. If anything I will just need to add a larger washer at this location. At the end of my trailer they have a vertical channel to support the gate locks and stiffen the sides. Luckily these have an open bottom. I was able to get a 24 extension for the sockets and install the nut on the bolt. !!!Very important step!!! Make sure you attach the cables to the gate to see where the permanent attachment should be before drilling. I had to lower my location about 1 from the suggested location to keep our tailgate flat to the ground. Also make sure you check this in the position you will usually have your trailer in. Not thinking at the time the trailer was on a slight uphill grade when I installed the lift, when turned the other direction the gate stays off the ground about 2 inches. Not an issue for loading an ATV but could be a trip hazard. Plan to attach the spare tire to the gate to make sure it always stays down. How it works: As for lifting, I can now simply put my foot under the gate and raise it with a slight bump. My 2 yr old even closed it by himself, although that may not be a good thing. To lower you do have to pull down some, when before you had to make sure it didnt drop and smash whatever was underneath. I will not own a trailer again that does not have one of these installed on the rear gate.

> 3 dayI bought these kind of as an afterthought when I was getting a ramp installed on my trailer. This is an extremely stout trailer ramp, as you can see in the picture, probably weighing 300 lbs. These lifts have no issue holding it up and slowing dropping it. I actually have to push it down the last 4 but it stays when its on the ground. I drive my tractor up on the trailer, lift it with my toe and one hand lift the rest of the way. These are amazing and honestly, when I bought them, I didnt have really high expectations. Highly recommended, hopefully the longevity is as good as the initial performance!

> 3 dayI installed one side and it worked great on my aluminum bifold lift gate. I decided to put the other side on and I needed to disconnect the inner spring and it works perfect and looks great. I would highly recommend this product.

Greater than one weekCouldn’t be more satisfied. This is a game changer. My ramp gate is over 150 pounds. Now it moves easily up and down and will stay in any position between.

> 3 dayI recently bought a new trailer and boy is it heavy duty, the wife and I struggled just to raise the ramp and decided we needed some help. I watched many U Tube vids and decided on the Gorilla-Lift system, so glad I did. I ran into two small challenges during my install. 1. I had a 2x2 square tubing upright support to the top rail where the farthest back hole needed to be drilled. I was able to remove the plastic end cap, just drilled through the top tubing, cut the carriage bolt to about 1 and was able to fasten down that way. 2. The front hole was aligned with the fender, but I just drilled through the top tubing, through the fender and the supplied bolt was just barley long enough to reach all the way through to snug up the nut. Shipping was fast, assembly was easy and the results were amazing....simple one hand operation now. I did use all four springs on my trailer and it was just the right amount of tension. Any heavier of a ramp and I believe it would struggle. I highly recommend this product.

> 3 dayAs my back reminds me of my age (74) I am completely satisfied with the assisted lift for my tailgate on my trailer. As many other customers say I should have had these years ago --- I was wondering a little about the fit on my trailer as I have a by-fold end gate but that was no problem. The only thing I had to modify was the mounting of the tubes as my trailer latch system was in the way and I didnt want to modify that so I simply put a 2 square tubing 10 long on each end and in the middle where the assist comes together and that raised the cable up enough so it clears my latch on the end gate. I mounted it on my ATV trailer and have used it a number of times already hauling my ATV for ice fishing trips and it works great -- very satisficed with the product.
